Casa Pueblo is an innovative community center in a picturesque town in the mountains. The center consists of a cafe, small shop to buy local products, a movie theater (with shows on Saturdays), a radio station, photos of the history of the center, and various educational programs. Its philosophy is self-sustainability. The center uses solar power and is funded by proceeds from the shop. The friendly volunteers in the Casa will explain how the center became a valuable resource after Hurricane Maria, and the Casa's vision for a more energy-indepedent Puerto Rico. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. read more
