I've previously visited another location of Café Toscano in Roma Norte for breakfast on a previous trip to Mexico City, and I enjoyed their breakfast menu more than their lunch menu. I just wasn't very into their lunch menu options, so I went with a Caesar salad to keep my lunch light. The Caesar salad was nothing special, but the atmosphere is great, and their outside seating is beautiful. The service was also great - friendly, helpful, very fast. It's not a bad place for a meal, but I definitely prefer Café Toscano for breakfast over lunch.

It's a pleasant spot to sit, take a photo, and maybe contemplate your life choices. Service? Let's just say our waiter had the potential to be helpful. We're still waiting for it to fully develop. The coffee was so light I briefly wondered if they'd just shown the beans a picture of hot water. I've had stronger tap water back home in the U.S. As for the food... it ranged from mediocre to "did someone forget to season this?" Nothing memorable -- unless you count regret as a flavor. My honest recommendation? Admire the restaurant from the outside. Smile. Keep walking. Learn from my experience. The only regret I had during my ten days in Mexico was choosing to eat here.

It was happy hour and they have 2 for 1. I ordered a mojito. The mojito came out with no mint. It tasted like lime juice with ice. It was green but I think they put food coloring or maybe some sort of green mixer. I drank about 1/4 of it and stopped. Worst mojito I've ever had. My brother in law had a vodka Collins. He didn't really like his either. We figured since both our drinks are 2 for 1 we wouldn't get our second drink and it would count as two. Nope they wouldn't allow. We didnt finish our first drinks and there was no way we were ordering another. My wife and sister enjoyed their wine. We shared a pizza and it was decent. We asked for water and the waiter brought out 4 bottles of water we had to buy. Every other restaurant or bar here has always brought out water without us asking. 3 wines and 2 horrible "liquor" drinks plus a small pizza was $90 US. Not worth it. Service overall was bad. When we were paying i left a small tip on purpose because the service was bad. It was around 8-9% The waiter comes over and says it's mandatory to tip 10%. Who does this? He is lucky he even got that. So I hand him a handful of coin pesos I had in my pocket and I leave. DO NOT GO HERE! There are so many better places in the area.

My family and I visited Maison Kayser at Artz Pedregal for breakfast. We ordered a fruit plate for my dad, Eggs Benedict for my husband, chilaquiles for my mom and me, and scrambled eggs with bacon for my daughter. Overall, the breakfast was good, but fairly average. The food was enjoyable, but nothing really stood out or made it a place I'd specifically return to. Our coffee arrived a bit cold, but to their credit, the staff quickly replaced it without any issues. The service was friendly, although the servers seemed a little distracted throughout our visit. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but not a memorable one. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think I'll be returning, especially with so many other great breakfast spots to explore in the area.
