I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had Dr Omar Alsaffar as my family physician for the the past two years and I can say without any hesitation that Dr Omar is one of the finest and most caring family physician I've had over the last 60 years. Dr Omar Alsaffar is above all a good listener and has been quite thorough in his examination and diagnosis of my medical issues. When I need a referral to a specialist, I can always depend on Dr Omar and/or his support staff to quickly make the necessary arrangement and to follow up as need be with either an in person or telephone consultation. To anyone looking for a family physician, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Omar Alsaffar at the St Laurent Medical Centre and trust that you will be grateful as I am, to have had the good fortune of being accepted by him as a new patient. This is the worst medical clinic I have ever been to. My doctor Alchalabi is such an idiot. First…read moreoff the first time I saw him he said because of all the medical problems I had which aren't that many, he said he would need to think about whether or not he would take me as his patient. When he called me for the follow up I told him I was recording the conversation, he told me he would take me on but I would have to come see him every time I wanted prescription refill. WTF is he a family doctor or is this a regular medical clinic? I told him no so finally he agreed to put a note in my file. Later I started to get a rash on my skin after one on my operations. He said it was eczema. He prescribed cream which did nothing. I eventually pushed him to send me to see a specialist so finally he agreed... it turned out I have soriacis not eczema. Did this guy get his degree out of a cereal box? WORSE DOCTOR EVER DO NOT RECOMMEND

had a very upsetting experience at this clinic. During my visit, I became frustrated and raised my…read morevoice because I felt I was being treated unfairly. However, I did not believe I made any threats. Despite this, the police were called, leaving me feeling humiliated and distressed. I also have video evidence relating to this incident. I challenge the clinic, including Dr. Chan, who was scheduled to attend to me, to preserve and produce any CCTV footage so the events can be reviewed in full. As someone living with medical conditions, I left feeling that I was not treated with dignity or compassion. I believe I experienced discrimination, and I intend to pursue the appropriate avenues to have this matter reviewed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this clinic. I was also reminded of a previous incident involving my younger brother, who has a physical disability, where our family felt he was not treated appropriately. Based on these experiences, we will be seeking care elsewhere. What was requested was my OHIP card and I presented a copy on my phone as that is what I have always presented even on the first day I registered at this clinic. It is also what I use at ER and all walk in clinics and have never had issues.

If you're looking for a thorough doctor to solve some mysterious illness you've had for months, you're better off looking elsewhere. I' ve been thoroughly impressed at the Preston location but less than impressed at this one, since I'm reviewing this particular location I'm only going to talk about my experience here. So, I came here a few weekends ago after I realized I almost definitely have some sort of respiratory infection. I waited for about an hour and a half to see a doctor. When I was called into the waiting room the "nurse" (I think it's just a technician, not actually a nurse), took my blood pressure and asked me a bunch of pointless questions he was reading off of his ipad. I was unimpressed by his lack of knowledge when I was giving him my info. The doctor came in and said "I've heard all about your chest. I'm going to listen to it". Without asking me anything, he listened to my chest in one spot (you're supposed to listen in several depending on the patient). And said "yeah you have a lung infection". When asked what type of lung infection (pneumonia, bronchitis etc.) he said "could be anything really". He was clearly in a hurry to shoo me out of there, which I expected, but he could have given me some more details. I feel like I was waited on at McDonalds rather than being treated at a health clinic.

Preston St. Location…read more Takes 5+ hours to be seen on almost any day, even by someone for intake. Went for refill of a medication and was told I should go see an NP instead and when I mentioned I couldn't comfortably afford it, was met with a mocking tone about it. Went on two different days and didn't see anyone either because I can't spend more than 6+ hours at a clinic just waiting when I have to work. They got as far as faxing my pharmacy but gave them an incorrect number to send files to. They have huge issues with communicating information about cost of services and transferring any kind of files at all their locations from what I've heard from others. Walk in only, even if you're rostered, no appointments with the same doctor which causes issues with consistency of care. They very obviously take on way more patients than they can handle, and do not care about quality of care. Ended up digging out of my emergency fund to see an NP elsewhere.

I love this clinic!…read more Small clinic with super energetic and friendly staff. This has always been my experience, and I've been here several times. It's hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:15 am-12 noon, 1 pm-3:45 pm. It's best to go during the morning. They are closed from 12 noon to 1 pm so I suggest if you're coming in the afternoon, line up around 12:45 pm to be assured you'll see a doctor by 3:45 pm. It does get fairly busy. They have doctors available for appointments, just give the clinic a call and they will be happy to serve you. Make sure that if it's your first time to come, bring a valid health card and two pieces of ID! There is no t.v in the waiting area, so I suggest to bring something to entertain yourself. The selection of magazines are limited. I live downtown, and this clinic is my go to spot! If you live in the area, you should come here!

I suffer from high anxiety disorder so around 3h20 went to see what was going on, she mention to me I miss the appointment I was late, I response I wasn't late I was sitting in the waiting room and that she should done her work to call me. I say it makes no sense not to let the patient know about the appointment she say it was not her duty to do that, but mine to go register, but when you have a sickness normal you do not think. Well this week, my wife had an appointment so we went, guess what that doctor instead helping her told us to find another doctor because I start a big fight in the Medical Clinic, wow exagerated by the secretary I told the doctor what she did that day, but he defending her indeed. I felt judge by this doctor, I felt also he was racist toward my wife never taking the time to help he or understand her.
