I used to be an acrylic girl and would want my nails to be long and ballerina-shaped. They never broke or got ugly and I would keep them for a good three weeks before getting them removed. This year I decided to stick to shellac manicures, which is done by putting a powder underneath the polish. This makes my nails last FOREVER. I can go 4 weeks without going back to get them done and the only thing looking weird is the regrowth of my nails. The owners are very nice, they care a lot about their customers and can always squeeze you in for a last minute appointment if you call in the morning. They charge a little bit more than other spots but they really take their time with every single client (takes about an hour to get a gel manicure) so you know they're doing their job right. The place is clean and I've never had problems with infections or anything like that.

They put everything they had into this place the decoration really feels like a spa light place very then there's a TV that they play music or music videos just to get a little calmer and relaxing ambience. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. They do regular nail polish all the way to designs and even if it's something that's a little hard for one of them they will tell you I will try my best. The person doing it will take the time until they're happy with the design until you're happy with the design if you don't like it you can change it before everything gets finalized. Apart from the kindness there was one specific experience that made me love the place even more my nails were really brittle so I didn't want to put any fake or acrylic nails and I wanted to do a marble effect on my natural nails which were already very very short. The person doing my nails said I can do it for you but because your nails are very brittle and flimsy it might not last very long, and because the marble look is a little thicker because there needs to be multiple colours it won't look as nice on your nail because it's very short and very flexible. He said I don't mind doing it but it's really up to you I don't want you to have to pay for something that won't last longer than two weeks. For him to actually consider the design and the worth and the value of how much I'm paying and how long it's gonna last I have some thing I really appreciate it it's noches doing what I ask and then it comes off within a week because I am doing things and because my nails aren't as healthy at the moment. In the end we both came to an agreement to do a different design which I still really loved with the colours that I wanted. In that moment I realize that this was my go to place for any manicures any pedicures I want to do for the future because they do care not all need to get paid but they do care for the happiness of the client. I have friends who have come from Montreal to do their nails here and they're very satisfied with the quality with how long it lasts with the overall service that they get.

Wow! I've been going to Casa Ongles for 8 years. I've done every service you can imagine there from…read moreshellac nails to acrylics to waxing. I have never been disappointed. However, it seems like this year, there has been a change in management and there are only 2 people working there instead of the usual 3-4. The salon is now always empty when it used to be full. Today, I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. I called a week ago to book "shellac removal" for 2 people. On the phone, I repeated myself twice so make sure that the booking was for 2 people since there is an obvious language barrier. I went in with my mom and Jimmy started working on my nails. This is a 10 minute service. When I said that it's for my mom too, he said he doesn't have time and that I booked for 1. As I said before, this is a 10 minute service. I told him that we're already there and that it's a quick service. He refused. I then removed my hands from the acetone and told him to do my mom's nails instead. He let me leave with half-removed nails with acetone all over them and had no problem with it. I hope they are proud that they just lost a long-time, generously tipping customer because of their shitty attitude and unprofessionalism. As well, I suggest they learn some English and French to properly understand their clients.

The lady who helped me was nice and was a precise and fast worker. The shellac is thick and durable. One week in, it is beautiful. She applied two thick coats of colour and two thick coats of top coat. One reason for not giving a higher rating is that the salon uses the same tools over and over. Other places I have been would sterilize and bring out a clean set of tools per client and catch the clipping with a towel. Here, everything just flies everywhere. It bothered me a bit. I wished they were not careful. The shellac job is top notch and it's a competitive price.
