Our experience with Central Park Tours was absolutely 5 stars and worth every penny! My 84-yr old mom wanted to visit Central Park. Walking it, we wouldn't see much: Not only is Central Park huge, but it was cold and she walks slowly. Self-guided bike touring wasn't an option. That left us with a horse carriage ride or a Pedicab. FYI, I have since learned that if someone approaches you with a laminated tour guidebook, they are not only permitted by the City, but there are strict regulations regarding their solicitation. There are many Pedicabs available at the south entrance of the park who will approach you: Though with permits, not all are endorsed. Yes, you can save a buck by choosing one, but your experience may be only a trip (no commentary or stops included). Emir caught our attention at Columbus Circle. His cousin Nihat (commonly called "Night") was our Pedicab tourguide. What a fantastic experience! Side note: I've since found/spoken with a manager of Central Park Tours: Nihat "Night" is one of the highest rated tourguides: I suggest you seek him out by name! Emir gave us the "schpeel," explaining options. Horse carriage ride at a lower price (by comparison) would significantly limit what we'd see. Wanting to see more, we opted for a higher-priced, longer tour via Pedicab. Realizing now that we lucked out, I can't tell you how awesome Nihat "Night" was! He was so personable, provided great commentary & photo-ops (including taking pictures of us), and helped my mom in/out for each stop. I absolutely recommend Central Park Tours. FYI, payment is collected upon completion of your tour: 1. To prove that they deliver what's promised (& that it's not a scam, because there are plenty of scam tours), and 2. For you to tip your tourguide appropriately (please consider being generous - this is their livelihood!). I'm confident you'd agree that if you get Nihat "Night," you'll have a similar awesome tour of Central Park! You get what you pay for with Central Park Tours, especially with Nihat! read more

Central Park Tours - Central Park Bike Tours - New York - Tours Near Me - New York, New York

Central Park Tours must be one of the best kept secrets on ClassPass! Seriously, I mean, a 2 hour bike rental with a new bike with 21 gears and a helmet. Safety first, people! They even provide you a with a basket and are super friendly about explaining everything on the bike from brakes, gears, bell and the best way to get to and around Central Park. And on a nice spring day, there's honestly nothing better than riding the loop in Central Park. Even on a Sunday at 5PM, you still have most of the park road to yourself and can go zooming through those roads, admiring the foliage and feeling the fresh air. Now's that freedom! read more

I had the absolute worst experience with this agency, in terms of purchasing Broadway tickets. Literally 5 days prior to Christmas/the show, I received the below email which I found in my spam folder. I was able to find this email the day I attempted to pick up my tickets by searching my entire email account. "Dear Customer, Unfortunately, we will have to cancel your order for 6 tickets to Phantom of The Opera. Our system had an error with the prices and seating sections. We can get you tickets at 109$ in mezzanine if you would like to continue with this purchase ar we can issue a full refund on the order. Please let us know. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience!" I purchased these broadway tickets for my family one month ago, and this email was sent 5 days ago. No one attempted to call or reach me earlier, but the agency did charge my card and never even issued a refund. My family traveled from FL and CA, and this agency did not even have the courtesy to contact me earlier so that we could book from a different website. If your website made the error, you guys should honor the price and seats this late. We attempted to call the agency multiple times, and no one picked up. We even went to the office, and the agent was gone for the day and left a phone number on a sticky note which did not even work. I asked someone else at the office how I would even pick up tickets if I had them for tonight's show, and he said I'd have to call the number on the sticky note which did not work. I will never use this website and make sure that everyone I know also knows that this kind of incident is acceptable to you guys. Update: I finally received a call from the person on the sticky note. He said that he is only responsible for in office orders and not the online orders. This agency has no sense of accountability. Their policy is that when you purchase a ticket, it is a final sale and no refunds are allowed. However, they are allowed to cancel your tickets at anytime. read more

Daniel was a fantastic guide for our bike tour through Central Park. Learned a lot about much of the history of the park and got a nice workout in at the same time. Especially recommend for the fall foliage. read more

We recently visited New York and were referred to this shop by Open Loop Tours. Their location is very convenient with a bike path directly to Central Park. The person who helped us rent our bikes was very pleasant and helpful. But the reason for the two stars is this...shortly after leaving the shop, my son noticed that his back brakes weren't working. He went back and they immediately gave him a new bike. We had a full day's pass so were on our second time around Central Park when going down a hill, I noticed that both my front and back brakes weren't working! I had to brake with my feet. It scared me thinking of what could've happened if they stopped working on one of the busy New York streets. My front brake pad had cracked in half. And I couldn't tell what was wrong with the back brakes aside from a bunch of wires hanging loose. I had to walk my bike back to their shop which took almost 45 minutes since we were half way through the park. Upon returning the bike, the same person who helped us initially looked very concerned. I don't think he was accusing me of anything, but said that in the past some customers had messed with the brakes to try and get a refund (a refund was the furthest thing from my mind!) I don't know much about bikes, but find it hard to believe that had the bikes been maintained properly this could've happened. Central Park is a relatively easy ride and I didn't go over any large bumps or run into anything. But what are the odds of two bikes having brake problems? I'm not sure how long this company has been around, but prior to my review, there were only 8 reviews posted. Being that they were all 5 stars, thought this place was a good idea. read more

DO NOT USE, POSSIBLE SCAM!!! I booked a bike tour for two on April 20th, two hours before our scheduled tour they sent me a text saying they had to cancel our reservation due to being overbooked. They said they would give us a refund and offered us two bikes from a bike rental company they work with. While I was disappointed I was happy we were still able to go on a bike ride. However, its now been nearly two weeks and I still have yet to receive my refund!!! I paid $106 for two bike rentals that would have cost $20 had I just rented them myself. read more

Pro tip. When your store opens 45 mins late at least have the courtesy to apologize. Bikes need some maintenance.

What a fantastic team - friendly, informative, professional, on time! I had family from out of town and thought that would be a great way to show them around! It sure was! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDING THESE GUYS ROCK! read more

My wife and I went here because of all the positive reviews on Yelp and Google. We were greeted by two guys who were very friendly and professional. No up sell, no bs. Competitive prices and new bikes that worked perfectly on our hour long ride through the park. The shop is less than 5 min from the 7th ave park entrance and they even gave us some extra time on the clock for free. Would recommend to anyone! Riding in the park was one of our favorite parts of our trip! read more

Really good experience. Rented 5 bikes (2 adults and 3 kids). Relatively easy to get up to Central Park along the bike lane. Cycled around Central Park and back again. Bikes were in very good condition. They had baskets for our stuff and helmets for the kids. We also bought les Mis tix from them after the ride. Teodor was really patient and helpful. read more

Conveniently close to Central Park, Hotels, Times Square, and the Hudson River Park bike path. The bikes here are all super new and in great shape and mechanical order which makes a huge difference in your biking experience. Bikes came with a great lock so we could stop along the way and enjoy the city. Sergio gave us all the info we needed to have a fantastic day on the bikes. Thanks much Sergio! read more
