Wow this place is beautiful and huge! There's so much spent half a day here didn't even do half of it. It's a Gorgous park inside the city. There is lakes, bridges, fountains and more. There's lots of eateries. Even a castle. Wish I had more time here to explore. You can rent boats in the lake. There's live theaters. Somewhere I would definitely go. Iconic must go to spot in New York.
It's always a pleasure walking through Central Park taking time to appreciate the beauty of nature, and all of the wonder of the park that gets overlooked in the daily hustle and bustle of life. Thought this image truly captured the essence of snow!
I had to visit this park on my short trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the park. There were people walking and on bikes. Several groups and lots to see. I definitely felt at peace on the trail, especially when I finally got to the water. I feel like there were a bit of people at first, but then got a bit of privacy to enjoy my thoughts. There wsa even a little food cart with hot dogs and more. Definitely a fun family place or even a little liesurely spot if you want some time alone. I've heard so much about central park and so glad I finally paid a visit. I walked here all the way from my hotel, and felt safe the entire way. Nobody bothered or messed with me. Not sure what the nighttime experience is, but I went during the day. Definitely recommend people visit when in NY!
Central Park is every bit as impressive as people say. It's hard to believe such a huge, beautiful green space exists right in the middle of Manhattan. The park is clean, well-maintained, and full of iconic spots to explore, whether you're walking the trails, relaxing on the lawns, checking out the fountains, or simply people-watching. There's something new around every corner, and it offers a nice escape from the energy of the city. Whether it's your first visit to New York or your tenth, Central Park is absolutely worth spending a few hours exploring.
Central Park will always be Manhattan's oasis within its cement and steel wonders. You'll never experience the same thing(s) twice and as soon as you enter, you'll feel a sense of relaxation, as you take in the natural and man-made scenery. During today's trek, I came across Houdini, a gentleman's cat, who was nicely dressed up and who took a wonderful photo.
Who doesn't love Central Park? It's massive with over 800 acres of scenic trails, walkways, tennis courts, lakes with boating, you name it it's here. One of my favorite things to do when I'm in the city is to walk through the park. I walk from east to west and sometimes I get lost. Sometimes I end up a few blocks south of where I thought I was going to be, sometimes I end up a few blocks north of where I want to be, it's the Beauty of Central Park. On this visit there was snow on the ground. Did that stop the runners ... no ... they were still running through the park, walkers were still walking through the park and I was walking through the park. For the first time ever, I actually made it directly from West 85th to East 85th because the paths were shoveled. I've never seen the park with so much snow and it was absolutely beautiful.
Central Park continues to be an iconic NYC landmark. Year after year, its magic doesn't dwindle and it only remains as special as it did in the previous year. For New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers alike (and as many have said), there is something for everyone in this park. Do you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Come to the park. Do you want to walk or jog or bike for miles and miles and still be in nature? Come to the park. Do you want to propose to your fiancée in a classy and romantic way? COME TO THE PARK. It's hard to say which spot in the park is my favorite. From the beautiful Boathouse restaurant to the Mall - Literary Walk to Bethesda Fountain to the Belvedere Castle - the park never disappoints in its charm, tranquility and variety. I've skated at the Wollman Rink (read my other separate review!), rented a rowing boat on The Lake, walked around the JKO Reservoir at sunset, I've picnicked on the Great Lawn, I've rented bikes to ride around, went to the Zoo, I've listen to Shakespeare in the Park, I've enjoyed the street performances and walked more miles than my feet would care to admit or share (always the best!) Can't forget to mention also all the museums that adorn the park in either side - whether you prefer to visit the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Natural History or Guggenheim. This note is just to point out the proximity of them all to different areas of the park. Anyone and everyone should come and marvel at the beauty and uniqueness Central Park has to offer.
It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect for a stroll around Central Park. With the recent rain, the trees and grass were vibrant green. There were quite a few horse-drawn carriages that were available at $60 for a 30-minute ride. We opted to walk to get our steps in! This is a great place for picnics, as there were many shaded areas. There's also a playground for little kids. It's a very family-friendly park.
First time here and it was amazing to walk the miles of pathways to see this amazing space. What else is there to be said.. It's Central Park. A must.
What can anyone say about Central Park other than "Wow." When you are in the middle of a city where trees are scarce, to find an enormous, manicured park with fountains, statues, fields, artists, and much more, there isn't much else out there. I grew up just outside of NYC and have lived in the area for parts of my adult life. We've also lived outside of Chicago for over 30 years now. Chicago was planned well, with forested areas all over and around the city. New York was founded in the 1500s and went through mass expansion during the industrial revolution. There wasn't much thought given through most of the years about beauty, but there was a lot of utility in urban design. A lot of that has changed, and while there are areas in the borough that aren't updated and look like they need help, Central Park is a sanctuary for those who go there. It is also a Mecca for tourists. It was cold the day we visited, and we took a pedicab around the park. Funny how when you live somewhere, you don't take much advantage of the touristy things in your town. Leave and come back for a visit, and you get to see why people flock to New York for the culture, the arts, the parks, and so much more. This is one thing you do not want to miss if you visit any of the boroughs, north Jersey, Southeastern Connecticut, or any of the suburbs northwest of the city in New York. Don't miss out on a wonder.
Central Park such a beautiful New York Park. Took a Saturday to walk it. So much to see and so many activities. Bundled up and had a great time.
My class came to Central Park for our field trip. We had a great time. The kids were able to run around and enjoy nature. We saw multiple birds and it was litter free. It was nice to give them a chance to experience nature completely.
It is wonderful that a city as large as Manhattan has a park where everyone can enjoy activities anytime of the year, even if it is just feeding the pigeons, or as some call them in Manhattan, "Flying Rats." We were waiting for a friend on the Westside of 97th Street and wandered into Central Park to rest on a bench. This is the North Meadow or the largest of Central Park's open meadows between 97th Steet and 102nd. There are plenty of sporting activities one can enjoy at the North Meadows Recreation Center such as pickleball, basketball and handball. I once experienced in the past playing in a City Softball league in Central Park just off the east side of 91st Street. Then after the game, a favorite water hole where we all can brag about our play, or just appreciate another evening in Manhattan.

Central Park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The paved trails, stunning landscapes, bridges, lakes, and hidden corners make it feel like an escape from life, even though you're surrounded by the city. I've visited parks all over the country and found little pieces here and there that remind me of Central Park, but nothing has ever come close to its beauty, magnificence, and magic. If I could afford it, I would happily live right next door and spend my days wandering its paths. It is more than just a city park, it's an experience, and it's one of those places to visit once in a lifetime. read more
This park in New York is located in the center of Manhattan!! My cousin took me here to experience the overwhelming 800 more acreage of this park !!! About a long pedestrian pathways of mere 58 miles visited often by tourists as well as locals!! Free admission here and parkgrounds are free !! Most popularly known movie locations like Home Alone as well as The Avengers were filmed here!!! read more

Central Park in NY is simply amazing. I truly loved it. It is beautiful and relaxing place to be and enjoy the nature. It takes you away from the noisy and congested city and places you in a small paradise. It is a place you must see and enjoy while visiting NY. read more
Can't go wrong with Central Park. There is so much area to walk around and see and experience. There are vendors and musicians and people skating and rowing boats and playing frisbee and just enjoying life. The paths are endless and mostly shaded. Take a horse drawn carriage or rent bikes or do almost anything you want. Just don't miss this priceless gem in NYC. read more
I wish I could spend every day at Central Park with beautiful weather without a care in the world. I love that I live so close to the park. There are so many memories that I have preserved here. If I gathered all of the photos, I have in Central Park or of the Bloomberg building from Central Park I would have so many. Any time I have a break from a weekend with great weather. I try to make a stop here. It's worth it every time unless the weather is terrible. I do find myself going to the same spots but it doesn't really matter to me because it never gets old. read more
Nice fall day to take a long walk through Central Park. Windy day in the low 40s, but there were a lot of people enjoying the scenery. Walked around for an hour and half, but could've gone longer. Topped it off with Nathan's sauerkraut dog and fries. Enjoyed people and dog watching as I got my 10k steps. read more
I always used to wonder what the big deal was, but then I walked through it for the very first time and realized it is a big deal. The park is impressive in size and how well it's maintained. You can walk miles in the park and never leave the park, so if you need some fresh air and exercise, come here. There are pickle ball courts and baseball diamonds now, in addition to renting bikes for the bike paths and street performs with all different types of music, plenty of large rocks to nap on...there's something for everyone. read more

My absolute favorite place in the world. When I'm back home in Cali I dream about this park. I think my favorite statue right now is the Alice in Wonderland. The little café located by it has decent snacks and coffee. This park is definitely magical and a must see. There's lots to explore. read more
Walked the entire thing. Omg yes, you read that well. The entire thing. It was hot and a humid day but it was beautiful. See, in Hawaii we are used to summer days and heat but it's so nice to see people on the mainland soaking and truly enjoying these summer days. It's like they know fall is coming soon. The grass was green everywhere. They have little ponds here and there. One of which had boats that you can rent and row your way around and under a bridge too. All beautiful and romantic too. You can walk, jog, bike, and catch a horse back carriage (one that I don't like) and enjoy the entire park or parts of it. The only reason that I don't like the horses it's because they don't look like they are caring for them. The heat was intense and those horses were over heating and I could see their ribs!!! No to horses please there. We saw the tennis courts in the middle of the park and watched the chipmunks and the squirrels. It was just all so lovely and peaceful. My feet did pay the price but it was all worthwhile read more
No trip to NYC would be complete until u spend a day at Central Park. We jumped on the subway and made our way here for a day of adventure. Let me just tell ya u need more than a day to see this massive park. We grabbed lunch from a vendor and made our way over to rent a few bikes. We buzzed around the park in about an hour then decided to do it again but go slower and se what all we could recognize from movies. I quickly discovered the second time around that I was worn smooth out. It was cool to see the ice rink still up and open for visitors. We throughly enjoyed the 7 hrs we spent here for the day. Next time I'm in town I'll walk it and really get a feel for the place read more
Hard not to appreciate Central Park. Tons of trails, running, walking, biking. All clearly marked. You'll see a good bit of nature here. I just ran here and enjoyed the experience. Lots of people to watch out for during my lumber, but truly a great park. read more
There's great views of the city. So much is going on to see. A kids Halloween party, a kids marathon, a celebration of love - that's just what we saw in half of the park. It has many food stands. It was a journey to find a rest room so be prepared. read more

It's rare that when we come to NYC that we don't visit this beautiful park. With the exception of Balboa Park in San Diego there isn't another park in the country that compares to it. It's simply a peaceful oasis of calm and quiet in a noisy and hectic city. We generally visit the area around Grand Army Plaza at 59th & Fifth Avenue. We will take a leisurely stroll to the bridge and pond area and snap a few photos and perhaps relax on a bench in the shade in appreciation of the work of Frederick Law Olmsted. Although it extends up to 110th Street we have only been as far as 89th & Fifth Avenue across from the Guggenheim where we can enjoy views by the lake. read more

It's Central Park, the most well known park in the world. What else needs to be said? Yes there were tourist trap areas, but it is huge and you could easily spend all day there. Want to go for a run, ride a bike, or paddle a boat? Want to sit in the grass or by the water? Want to bird watch or people watch? Central Park has you covered. read more

We had a beautiful horse drawn carriage ride. The trees had fall colors. The weather was wonderful. Our guide told us about the history of Central Park. It was a wonderful experience. read more
