Probably the smallest lobby I've ever seen with podium type of service counters the service here is just supreme with four working station even the guests are just the sweetest not creeping in my personal space, even offering me to go ahead with my simple transaction the vibe here is just so calming. Parking is very small in the back with access direct into the back with both stairs and ramp for disable including automated door button I just love this location as this little mini bank has a great flow. The staff here has always been very friendly & professional... they're also very efficient, and can handle numerous transactions very quickly. Last but not least, I really appreciate having face-to-face tellers here, as opposed to the remote / upstairs tellers at their 2 downtown locations. Despite the fact that everyone is still wearing masks, it just seems more personable, and it's nice to have that live interaction...perhaps now more than ever! The only 2 downsides to this location are the very limited parking--which is rarely a problem, because everyone gets in & out so quickly--and no shared branching, even for members. That 2nd issue is sometimes a problem for me, as I belong to a couple of different credit unions, most of whom offer shared branch transactions at all of their locations. The service came across as if they only catered to certain customers, which felt especially odd on an island made up largely of transplants. I was refused a simple envelope and denied access to cash solely because I don't bank with them. The employees were rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. What made this worse was that no one attempted to explain alternatives or even invite me to open an account, which could have easily resolved the issue. Based on the unprofessional behavior and lack of basic customer service, I would never consider banking here. With so many businesses closing due to poor service, this location may want to seriously reevaluate how they treat people.

This review is for the Hawaii National Bank Building (not the bank) which holds many offices that I do frequent for personal reasons and though they do have a decent amount of free parking with the tenants in the building does make finding parking here the biggest challenge as I see no one in the bank and the bank does have reserved dedicated spots for their customers. There is a sign in at the elevators for your car so that they know you are a visitor of the building which I rarely do but if you have a very long visit it is recommend to do so but is a convenience so that you're not gonna get towed. There isn't a security and have never seen one so I'm not sure how it gets monitored but there is a constant flow use of folks entering the building. Thank you!

I was referred to Suzanne Terada ( she is now at the Aina Haina location) by my former boss. I was hesitant even after meeting with Suzanne. I just went with it since I trust my former boss who had retired from the DOE. Note: unless if you really want to refinance, please have the the manager sign some form or agreement that they will not sell your loan and have it remain local!! After I closed on my re-fi. my former boss refinanced her property and they had this agreement. Territorial did not sell my former boss' loans.!! Please consider getting your refinance elsewhere, it is not worth the stress!! After meeting with Suzanne, on getting the refi info. I was still hesitiant, she called me a few times and stated the reason, 1. remain local 2. my loan will stay at Territorial Savings and I will be dealing directly with them - considering the fact that my former boss referred me and that Suzanne mention these reasons, I thought why not so we went on with the re-finance. Reason for refi, to shorten the length of loan, to a 15 year loan. I even paid for my own closing cost. I just want to be mortage free. When I refi- my mortage payment would be low 900.00 now with the selling of the loan with the new lender with an escrow in shortage every year, my monthly payments are in the 1100.00. I never had so much stress in my entire life from this refinance. The week after, YES, my loan was sold. I don't mind if you sold to a lender after you screen them but you sold to any lender, just so you could make your money.!! On a side note, I didn't choose that lender I refinanced because I was hoping to do business with Territorial Savings and not any other lender. Shame on you Suzanne Terada & Territorial Savings Bank!! The lender that my loan was sold to, I've had issues since they sold to them. I couldn't get in touch with them, since their office is not local. I kept calling, leaving messages, since we are not on the same time zone, no one calls back in that department. To this day, the same issue with this lender. Within the 5 years, I met with many loan officers, but I just didn't want to pay closing cost over again. I guess I just have to SUCK it up for now. Based on experience, I really don't want you to go thru what I have been thru, please think twice. Don't say I didn't warn you. If my former boss had to get some agreement just so they don't sell her loan when she did her re-fi, really meant that they are going to sell your loan.!! Actually I don't think I can SUCK it up anymore, I am working on doing another refi- just so I don't have to deal with this lender ever again. Please say NO to Territorial Savings!! there are way better out there, and please Territorial, screen all your lenders before you sell. Please think of your (former) customers!! * & of course I was SUPER mad after hearing that my former boss had an agreement so they didn't sell her loan. One of the issues were insurance, this lender automatically will increase my policy every year and will add additional insurance coverage . I cleaned my junk mail and found out there is a settlement against this lender regarding this. & can you imagine trying to reach them regarding this issue? No one in the department answers calls or even return phone calls. YIKES!!

She was leaving before i would get her statement in the mail & no one at the Aina Haina branch could help me. But i happened to be at Safeway & stopped in & to my delight Sean was there to helo me! He always has great customer service in trying to help the customer in any way he can. Such a "CAN DO" attitude! He should be training all the bank employees! I originally opened an account at their booth at the Filipino Community Center when I was there on 5-4-24 for a Yelp Event (Celebrating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month). I saw the purple umbrella, purple tote bag, and purple pen! I was sold! It was free to open accounts! There's a $1 minimum for checking and $25 minimum for savings. The nice staff told me that I could get temporary checks at the King Street location. (I've passed by many times. It's on the right side of the street, before and across from Straub Clinic.) I finally got a chance to visit and get temporary checks! Four checks were printed up right on the spot! I made a cash deposit, so I have some money in my account! Easy! There's a free parking lot in the front of the building. Inside, the purple furniture, air-conditioning, and clean environment is much appreciated! I might bring my cousin here to open an account. You don't need to be an employee of any company to join this Credit Union. It's open to any resident of O'ahu!

Have been a committed customer when I opened a loan through their branch. Granted the fact their business is not feasible to most employed customers with regular working hours, any individual would have to take a special trip to bank at their facility since they are only open Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM, Fridays at 5PM. What bank does that with no weekend services as well. They don't have 24 hours teller services. But I've accustom myself to it because I didn't want to judge so quickly. There have been a few great moments, SOME tellers are okay. It still doesn't justify that their Manager sits right behind the tellers and doesn't acknowledge customers AT ALL! Countless of times I've walked in, she's been at that location over 10 years... NOT ONE HELLO! HOW ARE YOU DOING? Yes, customer service is 2nd rate! Reason for my review is, they've started accommodating mobile banking. Which I thought it was wonderful. I don't have to make a special trip to bank or mail my check to the branch, I can FREELY do my banking by mobile. I had one check where it was address to me & my husband. I assume since my name is on the check it's okay to endorse it and cash it into my account. There were few instances where it was rejected due to not endorsed correctly, but it was accepted okay and I was able to divvy up the money to both of my kids account. Another check comes around address to me & my husband again and this time they flag it, advised it's been rejected because my husband's name is not on the account. He would need to endorse and bring proof of ID and give authorization to deposit the check into my account. It's the IRS check from the government providing funds to the Stimulus program. They treated it like I was depositing a Million Dollars into the account. They advise the first deposit it was a glitch in their system. Do you know how many glitches I had to encounter with their branch and no apologies whatsoever! Just take my business and money, but loyalty is out the door! Although it's also address to me, I'm still not able to deposit. No instruction at time of mobile deposits, no honor system for being a longstanding customer of their Institution, no free pass for this one time service. There is no justification to keeping great customer relationships, especially when i arrived back to their branch and indicated I wanted to close my account. No recourse to apologize, just OKAY! So So in essence, I want an institution that would fight for me, ensure that I am a valid customer, and would go above and beyond to service me. My husband told me it was the right thing to do and leave. He wholeheartedly believed that his own institution treats him with great loyalty and he's ecstatic I'm switching over. Please note: you are nothing but a number. You are never a great customer in their eyes, because you don't yield enough revenue for their company. Their customer service is never ever great. They have teller turn overs constantly. (I should know, I've witness few new faces over the course of the years). You are basically a VOTE which you did not freely give into their Board of Members. Your VOTE is their gain. But hey who cares if they lose customers, like myself, cause they get recognition by using Social Media Influencers who provide content for their advertisements. But now, we can do our banking at their small two window branch just outside the entrance to the Campus Center Dining Food Court from 8-4 Monday thru Friday. That means we can make deposits, withdrawals, or cash checks any time during the work day, and it's just a hop and a skip from most points on campus. The only thing is that you can't buy travelers checks at this branch, but how often do you need to buy traveler's checks?
