I decided to get a pastrami and a pulled pork sandwich to go. The kid behind the counter actually heated up the two meats in a pan, I thought that was a nice touch. The lady was very nice and served it to me with a smile. I got 4 elk burgers to grill and I have had two. They are kind of gamey in a nice way and super lean. I will add some salt and pepper to it when I grill it up tonight. I might even add a slice of pepper jack to add a little fat to the meal. It went well with a nice side salad and some zucchini sticks. This place was a great small town meat market and there was a vegetable stand in the parking lot and I got some great cherry tomatoes.

Now im not sure what to do with this but i paid $800 for 200 lbs of CRAP BURGER and it seems its nobodys fault. This is an example of screwing the little guy. It looks deceptively small from the outside, and usually has a lot of vehicles parked so it looks super busy...but you can usually walk in without a reservation or much of a wait. A place you can get dressed up for, or just come as you are. They have a dining room area that has a view of the lake, or the regular dining area and bar area that face the parking lot. I had the walleye dinner and it was very good, wife had the Steak Tips {steak bites} off the special happy hour menu and she loved them. Boys had a Walleye sandwich and a cheeseburger...both were good. We had the walleye bites to start off and they were good too. Service was a bit flighty, but not terrible. All in all a good place for a good meal when you're up North.
