The one staff member was sooo friendly and helpful. Wish I would have visited this earlier in my stay. The coffee is make your own with every milk, oat milk, half and half, etc. There are a few flavorings to pump in. The pastries are very good. We tried 4 different ones. The muffin was much more moist than the banana bread but they were both still great! I honestly didn't look too much at the seating or ambiance but there are booths to sit at. read more

This bakery was an unexpected stop while we were walking around downtown. We were actually looking for the Walk of Fame but couldn't find it. By accident, I discovered the Walk of Fame was located in the patio between the bakery and other business on this same block. Ha ha! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food and coffee were good. I had a cup of coffee and cranberry-orange scone. What an accidental delight in finding this place. I really love the ambiance of the place, especially with how much light is in the building from the windows. The service was pretty great and friendly! I had gotten the Bens Best sandwich, which has tuna salad, unions, and tomatoes topped with a croissant as the bread. It was so delicious! It's been awhile since we have paid a visit, we used to come here almost every Sunday back when they first opened. I noticed they added some new items and changed up the menu just a touch. My husband really enjoys the Front Porch, it's his go to when he come here for a light breakfast/brunch he absolutely loves their Pimento Cheese spread. I have tried the Front Porch, Adam & Eve, and recently the Lox & Everything and they were all exceptional choices! I think by far my favorite is the lox. Their sourdough bread is quite delicious and fluffy. We have also tried quite a bit of their baked goods. My top contenders are the Kouign Amann and the Almond Croissant. By far the absolute BEST almond croissant that I have had anywhere! The cinnamon roll is a little bit of a hit or miss for me, I find it a bit dry and the icing to dough ratio isn't ideal for how big they are. Maybe just a tough more icing would be good.... Granted the last time I had their cinnamon roll was about a year ago. The Cranberry Orange Scone, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and the Brownie were all just okay. Not a repeat item for us. Everyone is always friendly and helpful if there are questions about any of the items. It's really just a nice place to hang around and honestly a cozy atmosphere to read a book here which I have done in the past. read more

While visiting town, a friend recommended this bakery for early morning treats and coffee, and it didn't disappoint. Walking in, my first impression was that the café was adorable, with a cozy vibe and very friendly staff. All the pastries on display looked amazing. I honestly felt like I couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. I ended up ordering the Serrano Cheddar Klobasnik and the Cheddar Klobasnik, and both were excellent. The dough was fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, and the sausage was clearly high quality, full of flavor with that perfect snap when you bite into it, something every sausage lover appreciates. We also shared the Almond Croissant, which was delicious. It was crispy, flaky, and buttery, with a sweet almond filling that was rich but not overpowering, just the right balance. The good: The coffee was hot and good. Note: Although, the coffee was good the self service area was very untidy and needed some restock. The bad: I had a cinnamon roll and my husband had a kolache. The cinnamon roll LACKED. And that's the best thing I can say about it. The roll was definitely over-baked, dry and needed some flavor. Not enough butter, cinnamon, or sugar was used in it. The frosting was comparable to a Walmart packaged cinnamon roll. The kolache was ok. He said he's had better. I didn't taste the kolache, because I'm not a fan of sausage. Other notables: there were no menus anywhere! Even a quick search online didn't yield one. The refrigerated goods looked old and sad. I really wanted to love this place, but sadly, we won't be back. It's too bad because Corpus Christi really needs scratch bakeries. read more

I was in town and the Uber driver recommended this place. My friend and I didn't listen and ended up next door at Lucy's. After being disappointed and unsatisfied there we headed over to the bakery. We definitely regret not coming here first!!! The baked goods were so good as well as the coffee. The ladies working there were all so nice and welcoming. All of them!! We ended up staying until closing time because it felt so cozy and calm inside. We watched how they cleaned everything thoroughly before closing. Even though they were preparing to leave they were never rude, or made us feel rushed. I will definitely come back if I'm in town again and definitely recommend this gem!! read more

She raved about their homemade pastries (open view kitchen) and all her favorite things. I honestly walked in expecting to be underwhelmed, but the entire experience was very good. The lunch menu looks fast & delicious. More importantly, they have salmon for breakfast toast! I love this place. It definitely has that relaxing "coffee shop" vibe. Their staff is very friendly- they actually smile and mean it. The coffee is very good. While the don't have all the fancy espresso drinks like a coffee shop or the drink variety of Starbucks, they do a good job with regular coffee. Maybe they'll consider adding this as they get more established financially. However, if they do, they better choose some amazing beans and equipment because their baked goods are out of this world. Their klobasniks contain actual smoked sausages that still have a slightly smoky taste in them and the dough is light and chewy. I also had an orange cranberry scone which was light and crumbly with just the right amount of sweetness. I've also had their cheesecake and key lime pie. Both were amazing and lean toward the tart and less sweet side than most. I'll likely come here every chance I get while I'm here in Corpus Christi this week. read more

Honestly these muffins are edible but they were very dense not moist at all. Maybe their other items are good but, $6 for a croissant is a little steep. I feel like the food is a little over priced and doesn't always have the best overall presentation. The toast was a little burnt making it hard/painful to eat and the sausage and pastry was still cold in the middle after being heated in the oven (but we didn't figure that out until taking a bite.. reheating it would be a health concern ) The restaurant now has menus and places to clear dishes making it easier for guests to keep the cafe clear for future guests. read more
