I have been a patient here for years and have been happy with my experiences however today was extremely disappointing. I called to leave a message for the doctor and asked to have her give me a call. I received a call back from a nurse and when I said that I would like to speak to a doctor she said that they are very busy with patients, did not have time to speak to me and just kept referring me to my chart. Unfortunately I cannot comment on Doctors or Medical Staff because the people they have answering the phones are so unbelievably rude. They have the strangest policies in place at least according to the people who answer the phones and another person who identified herself as a Supervisor. They had 2 no show initial appoints from myself and my husband because when I tried to reschedule my husbands appointment (which I made, btw) they told me he had to call because of medical privacy laws. Well, they knew nothing of his medical history since he was never seen there before, so what confidence would they be breaking by allowing me to reschedule his appointment? And then they got very snide with me. Oh well, Dr. Wang-Esptein had some unexpected down time on Friday and Monday. lol. Wonderful medical team, from the front desk to the patient coordinators. The doctors are amazing and i highly recommend this practice. You have to request referrals on the "referral" line and are told it could take up to 72 hours. If you call the office and ask for an emergency referral, they will berate you and tell you, you have to use the referral line. I requested 3 referrals, gave the proper waiting period and after 3 business days, I called and asked for them again. (My appointments were scheduled out 10 days.) I was told by staff they were entering the referrals while on the phone. I went on the appointment and was charged out of network because they lied and never entered the referrals. I had to call 2 more times and each the staff was impatient with me. They finally entered the referrals 6 WEEKS later!!! All 3 appointments went out of network and I had to appeal to my insurance explaining the doctor's office didn't fulfill my request. I won the appeal, but it took months to get reimbursed the out of network payments I had to make. read more

I have been visiting here for the better part of 10 plus years (and counting). The medical staff here takes very seriously their role in partnering with you regarding your health, being highly thorough when conducting their analysis and communicating their diagnosis. Accordingly, they are exceptional when it comes to explaining their course of action and why they wish to proceed with their preferred action plan. With respect to their support staff, I've read the other reviews which are largely negative. While they may not be representative of cast members at Walt Disney World, the interaction I usually have with them is so minimal it's barely worth mentioning as the team usually gets me in fairly quickly and without issue. read more

Whoever they have answering the phones there is very rude. Always a snotty attitude and a curt snappy response before she rushes you off the phone. The nurses are ok though. The equipment also looks very overdue for an upgrade. read more

Dr. Jain, You need to know what a disgrace your front desk is. You are an excellent Doctor but... I was in the hospital for kidney stones & released. Two days later I had tremendous pain again. I walked in your office in Somerset to ask for a quick referral because I was lucky enough to get an appt. with a urologist specialist. I was greeted as such, -You can't just walk in here! -There are no walk ins! I'm holding the chair for support with the pain that I'm in and she states, -You can't sit down I very clearly explained I was in pain and needed assistance. I was in terrible pain at that moment and asked to see a doctor. I was told to leave rudely. Even worse, Instead of another clerk/nurse coming over and trying to find out what was the issue for resolve, another person in scrubs started to yell at me. They're ok but not great. I guess it depends on the doctor you have. If you're young and relatively healthy then maybe you'll be ok but they're definitely not a place for older folks who may have medical issues and lots of questions. They're not caring and attentive at all. The doctor I see there is lousy and I'm going to seek medical attention elsewhere. Tired of settling for a mediocre doctor. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the doctor I was scheduled for. After arriving to the appointment on time, but not 15 minutes early (which is required for new patients at this practice), I was berated by the staff, specifically a shriveled white woman at the front desk. I can't say for certain if I was told of this hard 15 minute rule when scheduling the appointment, but I do know that I did not deserve the rude, unprofessional treatment. There are too many physicians available in the state to settle for rude staff. Hopefully the doctors do what is best for their practice and bring in some new faces. read more

This office erroneously billed me because of their error in submitting a claim. They put down Lauren Wadams-her old maiden name instead of Lauren Ferges so the insurance company did not recognize her as having a contract with WebTPA. I was billed as out-of-network for a annual physical since they did not have a contract with "Wadams" even though my insurance is in-network with the doctors. CJIMA kept billing me for $530 although I did not really owe this to them. It was their error and they refused to fix it, they told me I had to contact the insurance company. I have had to make many phone calls to the insurance company and contact CJIMA trying to figure out how to fix this problem. Why do I have to be the fixer of this problem when they made the error? Why do I have to beg the office to contact the insurance company to do their job correctly? I ended up paying the bill because I had a medical problem and I needed a visit to the office. In the meantime after paying the CJIMA office finally acknowledged their error and said it would take 15-30 days for correction from WebTPA. I disputed the payment with my insurance company and lost the dispute. I am still working to get my money back. Looking for a different primary care physician. read more

I went in for an appointment today and the front office staff was so rude, condescending, and arrogant. They cancelled my appointment after I showed up and made me reschedule - just because I was a few minutes late. They treated me like I was stupid. Based on the other reviews here, it looks like it is normal practice for this front staff, and it is unacceptable and unfitting for a doctor's office. The front desk needs to learn some manners. The doctors should understand who their customers are and the right way to treat them and also who is paying their salaries: their customers. They also need to understand that their staff is a reflection of their own reputation. I own a company and if I ever saw my employees treating my customers like that, they would fired on the spot. I would never refer anyone I know to this office or these doctors. read more

My husband has been going here since we moved to the area a few years ago and I started going this year. We both like it. They provide late afternoon/evening hours during the week and have many doctors to choose from. I've only seen Dr. Wang-Epstein, and I like her well enough. My husband has seen a few others without complaints. They do open on Saturdays, but it's only a few hours in the morning for walk ins and urgent care. That's a great thing, but I do wish they would also offer regular Saturday appointments, as sometimes it's hard for me to schedule a physical during the work week. Regardless, it's a minor complaint and the practice is fine and the staff seems great. The times either of us have had to go, they've seen us relatively quickly, always within an hour of getting there. We always get same day appointments if we're sick and need to be seen right away. read more

Have been going for over 12 years. Adriana Ackermann has been consistently thorough, patient, and compassionate. Addresses all questions clearly and I have complete trust in her. Barbara in the reception area is exceptional. She is always pleasant, efficient and very helpful. Maybe the staff has changed since the last reviewer posted her comment but my experience with the office and the other doctors is nothing short of everything I could hope for with a primary care practice. The staff has always been cheerful and compassionate. I would have given it 5 stars but honestly, there is always room for improvement - no one, no practice, no business is perfect. This facility's website is extremely deceiving. They are not a walk-in urgent care for established patients. You still need an appointment, if one is available. Because of this miscommunication, I made an unnecessary trip thinking I can get seen by a doctor. I would have gone to a true urgent care facility instead. They explained that they don't take walk-ins between 12 and 2. No where on the website does it tell you that. How are people supposed to know. The staff belittles you for not knowing and acts like you're intruding. If you want to feel like a pain in butt, I highly recommend this place. I left my last doctor because I was under the impression this would be more convenient. Stay with your small practice doctor because you will feel like an I significant number at this place. I think I have a sinus infection si they are my pcp and they take walking so I leave work to go to see about an antibiotic the girl at the desk was very rude she said there was no doctor that could see me I was upset but I called my ins to see if I could go to an urgent care facility they said no ....in the mean time another girl came in asked me if they were taking any patients I said no she went to the desk turned on tears said I have been naucious for 3 days ....they took her I questioned it they said they have to prioritize really WTH!!! Nothing has changed. I was a new patient CJIM. I had really bad back spasms (very painful) and called for an appointment. I was given the nurse practitioner via tele-health, the nurse practitioner (NP) was kind, competent and professional (Hence my One star Review). She prescribed meds and told me to call the office to schedule a follow-up appointment in 2-3 weeks with my Primary Care Physician (PCP). As instructed, I called the office to make the new follow-up appointment. The receptionist reacted (before reading the doctor's notes) saying, I already have an appoint in Two months and that's all I get (With a Very Big Attitude). I reminded the receptionist that I was just seen by the nurse practitioner who asked me to schedule a follow up with my PCP 2-3 weeks sooner due to y back issues/high sugar levels A1C10.2, Fasting Sugar of 204. Instead of apologizing for not reading the doctors notes, the receptionist "doubled down." Saying, I could not schedule an appoint with my PCP because I saw the NP. And, I must see the NP again. She also said, I'm not to speak to her that way again. (What just happened here?) Baffled by her nasty response, I asked to speak with someone else. The next receptionist tells me that she was sitting right behind the other one and that she never said that. OMG, Now I'm a liar? All of this grief to schedule an appointment, when you're sick. No compassion. No consideration. Nasty, Nasty Attitude that should have been dealt with a long time ago. They lost me as a patient. read more

This is a hard rating to give. Dr. Schwartzer is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He is caring and smart, he asks questions you dont even think to ask to try to help get to the bottom of what is going on with you if you are not feeling well. And I feel great going for physicals because I know if I ever did have something wrong that I didnt even know about he would catch it. That being said he is the only good doctor at this group....the rest are horrible.....and horrible is an understatement. And his staff is also horrible....especially the girl at the front desk...she is rude....both on the phone and in person. In person she even gives you little looks and rolls her eyes. So bottom line......if you can put up with an obnoxious rude staff then Dr. Schwartzer is worth it.....but only him..... read more

I guess it helps this doctors office to market themselves to patients as having walk-in and urgent care for their patients, but it is a complete misrepresentation. I understand that walk-in and urgent care doesn't mean that you are seen immediately. But it does mean that you (1) have a doctor available for urgent care and walk-ins and (2) do triage. Otherwise, you're just "overbooking." I have walked into this doctors office twice in pain from a UTI, and was told I'd have to make an appointment for 3 hours or a day later. You do not offer walk-in/urgent care, so please don't waste patient's time and energy coming to you for that service. You are false advertising. Additionally, patients should not have to share as much personal medical information about why they need to be seen at your front desk to non-medical professionals, through a glass, in front of a waiting room. Dr. Thomas Scwartzer is an outstanding doctor. However, he is not taking new patients at this time . Heard that some current patients of his have been reassigned to other doctors in the practice. Other doctors in the practice pale b comparison.In May of 2010 I had a sore throat. Dr. Schwartzer, my primary physician, was off that day when I saw another physician in the practice. I had not seen or used her before. She prescribed LEVAQUIN, an antibiotic, for the sore throat. SHE never mentioned the black box warning , never mentioned the possibility of permanent foot damage for seniors taking LEVAQUIN. The result is that I have permanent foot damage and must wear a brace on my left foot all the time. As Dr. Schwartzer rightly told me upon learning of the seriousness of the problem, THE SYSTEM FAILED ME. HIS DOCTOR should not have prescribed LEVAQUIN and the pharmacist should not have filled that prescription.The quality of my life changed forever because the doctor who saw me prescribed LEVAQUIN. read more

I do not recommend this Facility. Nasty people answer phone when you call for help. I don't feel the Dr's follow thru they see you a number not a person. No interest in learning about your issues. Just treat everything as usual. I called last month cause I was running out of my medication. They said they didn't agee to refill it cause I haven't had a blood test. I feel they should called me when my presciption refill was denied. I ran there to have blood work done. Got a call that everything was fine, so the renewed my RX. This month again I was running out of the same medication and they said, they wouldn't refill unless I came for a Dr. visit. They never called to advise me of this... Now i'm out of meds. I will be changing my internist. This is terrible!!! If you care at all about your health management, I do NOT recommend Central Jersey internist's. A BIG NO! The staff here is terrible. I didn't come to the practice as a patient but work in the medical field and was helping one of their patients out. I understand that it could be busy and stressful but the person I spoke to on the phone was so rude and had absolutely no patience as I tried to explain the problem. They tried to make it seem like I was stupid when in reality I was only the middle man between them and the patient. It was their mess up with miscommunication with the patient. The problem also didn't get resolved until 4 phone calls later because they continued to hang up on me, the patient and my manager. I usually never write reviews especially being that I wasn't actually a patient there but the staff was very rude. I understand some patients can be difficult to deal with but being that I work in the medical field I would've expected the person from the office to at least be professional. read more
