This small new Woolies has taken over the old CommBank site, filling it with aisles of snacks, convenience foods and ready-to-eat goods. I don't think I've seen anything like it - not as big or well stocked as a supermarket, not as exxy and poorly stocked as a convenience store, it's perfect for busy workers rushing to or from work and in need of a grab-and-go meal. There's even a cafe onsite selling the cheapest coffee and cakes in Surry - $3 brownies, say whaaaaat? I'm yet to try the coffee here yet but boy has it been handy when I've been running to/from Central and needed to pick up a bag of washed spinach, a tub of yoghurt, a pack of bikkies or a bit of fresh fruit. It opens til late, heck it may even be open 24/7* - say whaaaaat? *don't quote me on that #wishfulthinking, but I'll check next time I swing by

It's just a few steps from my hotel, they have a Coffee Bar, Deli, Produce, Bakery, Dairy, Liquor, mini pharmacy, and many self service check-out kiosk. There are many more Wooly's around the city, much bigger than this one, but you'd have to hike either up the street to Cole's, or further into downtown to a larger Wooly's Store.
