This church is the perfect size, small enough to notice you, big enough to have programs and a strong pastor. Highly recommended.

It's such a great program, and its donation-based--pay what you can. Just make sure to get there early if you want a good spot ( like at 6pm when the doors open) Trust me, you'll want to be up front or in the center, because being on the sides can make it a little tricky to hear the instructor. The yoga itself leans more towards a Hatha style, which is perfect for all levels. The instructor for the last Yoga + Sound Bath was amazing, and there's something so peaceful and relaxing about practicing yoga here, especially after one of *those* Mondays. The sound bath just takes it to a whole other level of zen. They have mats and blocks available, but it gets pretty packed, so bringing your own is a smart move. If you're looking to unwind, reset, and leave all that Monday madness behind, this is definitely the place to be!

Today is also my mother's memorial, and what a fitting to attend church, the same St. James where I used to attend in my childhood years. I thought it was a beautiful church, the minute I entered. The usher who helped me find more candles, so I can light one in my mom's memorial was very helpful. We were able to park at the school parking lot, across the street. They have several clean restrooms! I took many photos and videos! I'd like to come back!

There was about to be a service held here and so we decided not to go in but we were intrigued and wanted to look around in the inside, admire tge architecture and art. This December we finally got the opportunity to return as a Medieval Women's Choir was performing here. Steve was eager to go and so we seized that opportunity and went to take a look inside and to enjoy the choir. The choir was very enjoyable and lasted about an hour so it wasn't too lengthy. The Cathedral was beautiful also. But on a comparative aspect is a bit more plain to the last Catholic venues I visited which was in Santa Fe, New Mexico. But despite that it is a beautiful place and should the opportunity arise one should go in to admire the architecture for those that aren't Catholic or particularly religious.

Overall our first visit was pretty good. Message was good. I'm used to more references to scripture…read moreso you know where in the Bible what they are speaking about is in scripture. Note: it's non-denominational if you're wondering. Worship was a bit loud when we first started but they adjusted it for closing songs. People were super friendly. Many came up to us and greeted and introduced themselves (&they weren't designated greeters). They introduced us to their families and others in church. They invited us to the upcoming 4th of July event (which we went to). And overall were cheerful kind and friendly. Honestly MORE people IN churches should be like this. What I mean is if you don't know someone or see someone new go out of your way to say hi and welcome them. It's not just the job of the greeters and staff. The church is predominately Russian, ukranian church body. A little diversity. They have an English service at 10am and Russian at 1230. People gather in the lobby chatting or grabbing a cup of coffee at their coffee bar in between services. Nice to see that sense of community. We'll go back again to continue getting a feel for if it's our home church.
