It's easy for a vendor to look good on paper, but Tent Merchant delivers actual ease. For our Asian…read morepre-wedding events, we needed infrastructure we could trust blindly, and they absolutely smashed expectations. The tenting was put up efficiently and provided the perfect, comfortable sanctuary for our guests, while the tables and chairs were properly brought in and picked up. You can tell this team takes immense pride in the upkeep of their inventory--everything looked clean and was accurate. They were communicative, flexible with our shifting needs, and completely dependable. They are officially our go-to for any event infrastructure!

After contacting 6 vendors, The Tent Merchant clearly became our top choice. No other vendor was…read moreeven a close second, for the following reasons. (All other vendors were deficient in one or more of these areas. Every other vendor was deficient in the first. Scary!). 1-COMPETENCE- The Tent Merchant asked all the right, necessary questions to safely, legally, securely erect a tent and visited the venue early on to ensure they were prepared. Beyond safety, they had the best variety of tent sizes, features and embellishments. They also had varied tablecloths available from basic polyester (the only thing available from all other vendors) to cotton, linen, and luxurious textured fabrics. They offered more sizes of linens and tables than others as well. 2-TRANSPARENCY/INTEGRITY: Immediate, clear, unchanging prices and no "surprise" small print. By FAR the best contract terms. No required NON-(or partially)REFUNDABLE deposit on a tent until 10 days prior to event (when weather is more clear), yet guaranteed tent availability! (Others required tent deposit up front: a guaranteed loss if you don't need it). The weather forecast led us to forego the tent, but even after the 10 day deadline, TM assured "we'll do everything we can to take care of you". We had nearly daily communication that final week, with immediate responses, updates and support. 3-Word-of-mouth RECOMMENDATION by a local event planner, who also sent me a link to the 2025 Santa Barbara Independent Wedding issue, in which The Tent Merchant was a recommended vendor. Yelp and Google were sources for others. Concluding, every detail was efficiently and thoughtfully fulfilled as promised, and on time. I am grateful for the professionalism, competence and integrity of this company. I can't recommend them more highly. They will capably support and fulfill your vision with excellence, they will be available, encouraging and honest, and they will have your back from start to finish.

Oh man... So let me just begin by saying that my plan was to visit at least a few different rental…read morebusinesses for our wedding. Well my first stop was to Affordable Linen and after talking to them for a few minutes I knew that I didn't want to visit any other rental businesses... They hooked me right here. Basically put, the owner Darrell doesn't try to push you to rent more stuff to profit him more. He actually looks for ways to cut down your cost and make it as affordable (or expensive) as you want. Everybody wins! He was totally accommodating to us, taking care of our every need, helping us to pick out items, add them or subtract them as needed, not only initially but also over the next few months as the wedding day approached. All of the staff that we came in contact with was awesome, from Darrell and Donna in the office to Gary who dropped it off and Mauricio who picked it up. The items themselves were well-kept and everything arrived in the order as needed. Just a big thanks to everybody over at Affordable Linen. I recommend this place. It'll be the only place you have to visit!

*** I receive email notices from Yelp! of more and more responses from these people seemingly…read moredaily. My best guess is they keep changing their responses??? I really don't have time to be bothered with reading it every time but my interpretation is either a lack of honesty or a lack of confidence (or both) in their response... either way it's a red flag (and annoying)! Regarding the response posted: I was never given a choice of fabric so I also consider that a failure of Affordable Linen Supply; not of my own. It is your duty to educate a prospect and offer choices; that's what good sales people do. Further, the reason I asked that you stop emailing me is because I wasn't particularly keen on the reply I received (screenshot posted) after I questioned the price compared to the price to purchase them brand new. Firstly, I was not properly addressed! My name is not "yeah" and your reply seemed rude; again, "Yeah, it includes the cost of pressing them so they are ready to use, but if you are able to find them pressed and ready then that's awesome:)" - I would never address a prospect (nor customer) in this manner but we clearly differ. Further, when I stated the price to purchase is 1/5 the price to rent through Affordable Linen Supply, why was it not then that I was told there are different fabrics available? Why was I only told that you guys iron? Why was I not educated if you are such experts? I have since received the linens I purchased and they are of excellent quality; I am very pleased! I will have my employees make sure they are pressed prior to our event and we will bring our steamer for any travel wrinkles - your ironing is certainly not worth upwards of $500 and I don't need a license and bond to furnish my own linens. Lastly, your response only further makes my case as to why I do not recommend Affordable Linen Supply. I've never been fond of excuses and senseless rebuttals. Nonetheless, I wish you the best.
