The clerk was not very helpful, saying she was basically just a secretary and that the owners do everything. She didn't walk me through any swatches or anything. I was willing to pay a premium to get the window treatments that I wanted, but they were so unhelpful from the start. No sale from me.

Customer service was great. Blinds turned out well. A little pricey. But I understand a company has to make money and you pay for what you get. We are at a new house now. We called and had budget blinds come by to measure and give us our quote on four windows. Two windows were black out shades. They use a laser to measure three points of the window. They use the narrowest point. The other two windows were odd ball shapes. The quite was 626.40 for two black out shades and two small odd sized windows. The owner was the one who measured and gave us our quote. We paid the next day and then we were told we were scheduled out 4 weeks because of the virus. Two days prior to the install i get a call from budget blinds saying that only half our order showed up do to the warehouse shutting down do to the virus. Here we are today. Installer was late. I received a call 6 minutes after he was supposed to arrive to let me know he was "going to be late." (Which he already was) okay, things happen... But if im going to be late. I call before. Not after Installer begins to install the black out blinds and neither one of them fits. He tried each one on both windows several times. He looked at the paperwork. He tried to make them fit again. No such luck. The installer ended up using spacers on one window. (Hopefully it will hold the stress of going up and down) and cut the other black out blind to fit because it was too wide. (Im just glad they are behind the other "house" blinds) First let me say that the installer seemed knowledgeable and polite and cleaned up after himself. (One critique I'd had is this; if your going to be walking in and out of someone's home. Wear something over your shoes) I hate people who wear shoes in my house. This is where I live. So ill have to mop all the hard wood that you just brought dirt and other peoples germs into because you have had other jobs at others homes as well. Second. Either they measured the windows wrong. Or the warehouse they order from can't read measurements. And if that's the case, then why am I paying $269.00 per black out blind for incorrectly made products that the installer has to MAKE fit. If I wanted to make things fit. I would have paid less for a one size fits all. Not 269 for custom blinds. If it were me installing I would apologize to the customer and say "im sorry for the inconvenience, but these do not fit. And because you didn't pay to have me cut these up and make them fit, let me get the correct ones for you on the way" Anyways. Overall. 4 weeks. (Understandable) Half of what we ordered. (Understandable) Late installer, because my time doesn't matter. Product didn't fit. And the most important factor! It is much darker in the master room. But you should maybe change the name to ehhh kinda dark with LOTS of lights around the edges. Don't waste your money on black out blinds from budget blinds. Not worth it. My bother has black out blinds from home depot that are identical and block the same amount of light for less than half the price! Also let me say that if it wasn't for the installer going the extra mile. I would have given budget blinds one star. For the price. I expected more. I've gotten much better service in the past. Your installer gained you one extra star. Wish you guys the best of luck in the future. I can't say that I will be back as a customer and unfortunately most businesses are okay with losing customers this day in age. I mean Im just one customer who has paid you guys 3600 and change over the past two homes. Its not a lot. But that's 3600 I worked hard for.
