Absolutely love Central Bark so far. We've brought our puppy to puppy play time twice now and it has been a great experience. The two instructors are very thorough in explaining how things will work, when it's best to separate the puppies if they're playing too rough, and they do an amazing job at separating puppies by temperament into two groups. They're very knowledgeable and have taught us different facts about our pup and exposed our pup to different items and sniff mats. We are so thrilled we found this place so close to home. We already enrolled our pup into puppy kindergarten!

Our puppy Opie has been attending Central Bark since February of 2021 and we love it. We have used them for doggie day care, grooming services, and boarding services. My pup returns happy and tired each time. The staff are friendly and flexible. I feel great leaving him in their care.

My dog loves it here! She gets excited as soon as we get there and sees the staff, she has a smile on her face. She comes home happy and tired and well behaved. Love this place enough to drive across the city to go, and parking for pickup and drop off is always easy which is great.

Worst experience ever. I will never return to this establishment. Yesterday, I scheduled an appointment for my 5 pounds Shih Tzu (London) to get mini grooming services (Includes bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, blow out, brush out, and a foot, face and sanitary trim). The front desk staff, Ashley, confirmed with the location manager, Kristie, that this service is offered. Kristie confirmed that we can bring London this morning for grooming service. Before dropping off London this morning I called and spoke with the same person (Ashely), to confirmed that mini grooming is offered. I asked if I can get full grooming service to include full body haircut. Ashely said yes, they have groomer on site who can provide this service. When I dropped off London this morning, I confirmed with Ashely that this location in Philadelphia has full grooming service and that full hair cut is included. When I picked up London one hour later, she did not received full haircut, nail trim, or ear cleaning. She just received mediocre bath and blow out. Her tail and paws were still wet. Her face was not trimmed and she has crust in her eyes. She also did not received foot, face or sanitary trim. Ashely stated that your business does not have groomer on staff and that you are looking to hire someone. I asked her why this was not disclosed to me yesterday and this morning. She did not provide an explanation and just apologized. I asked if London received ear cleaning, she said no. Therefore, we took her to the back to clean her ear. Her right ear had a lot of wax in it and it was not fully cleaned after Ashely tried. I do not think that Ashley is a groomer. She just works the front desk. My dog has received grooming services in the past and never had an issue get her nails trimmed. London was also not happy and was clinging to me. I asked to speak with the manager. However, Ashely said that Kristie was off today. I asked if we can call Kristie but Ashley said no that we cannot reach her over the phone and that I will have to call tomorrow morning between 6am-9am. This was an awful experience. I was lied to numerous time and your company did not have the qualified staff to provide the service that I was promised to receive.

Central Bark is fantastic! Portia and the rest of the staff cared for my dogs as if they were their own. My shy boys were so happy playing with other dogs, and they ate well, despite being picky eaters. I will bring them to Central Bark every time I'm back in Philly.

Poppi loves Central Bark!

Central Bark is a wonderful doggie daycare. The staff is professional and takes wonderful care of our dog! The price is affordable. The hours are flexible and they ensure he is taken excellent of all the time. We send him 2-3 days a week and Poppi comes home exhausted from all the running and playing he does. It is a great place to get your dog socialized!

My puppy Laila had her very first day at central bark yesterday and I can't say enough about what a great experience she had. The staff was kind, attentive and thoughtful especially with nervous dog moms like me. They carefully explained the day Laila was going to have. Including 6 hours of out of crate time(!). Laila for a first day picture and when I called the staff was quick in answering how Lailas day was going. It was so reassuring to feel so a part of something even on your first day. My pup came home happy and sleepy and I can't wait to go back!

Clearly not just a scratch from another dog pawing him in the face.

They rock! My little lady is always super happy to see the Central Bark crew - leaves with a smile and is appropriately tired. :)

I am super grateful to the staff here for taking such good care of my sweet but somewhat anti social dog while I am away, and for always being so communicative about how she is doing and any small issues that arise during her stay. The space is clean, they are strict about capacity, and they do a thorough socialization check prior to allowing dogs to come for boarding or daycare. This past weekend, I had an issue arise where my sitter had to leave town unexpectedly. DoggieVIP absolutely saved the day by allowing my dog to come stay for the weekend on late notice. They answered my panicked texts and calls immediately and took such great care of Fred while I was away. This spot is great about sending photo updates and all reservations can be made via text message, which makes scheduling a breeze. I will continue to use this location and their Riverwalk location anytime I travel. So grateful and can't recommend them enough!

We are six months in and I'm happy to report that Wag Days is awesome, and keeps getting better. They have theme days and offer all sorts of daycare options as well as puppy and dog training. There are two things on my wish list: (1) I wish the Ring doorbell worked so calling to drop off and pick up was not necessary, and (2) I wish the portal allowed for editing reservation dates. Both things are technical, and technology can be fickle. How the humans treat my pup is far more important, an Wag Days staff are all aces in that department.

The front desk was a bit crowded with owners picking up their dogs after work, so I didn't want to wait. When I got home I could tell she had not been bathed. I called up Wag Days and asked whether my dog had gotten the bath I paid for. They told me that she had not and that they told me that when I picked up my dog. That was a LIE. Why would I walk out after paying $40 without rescheduling the bath or getting a refund? Once I confronted them about this fact, they hung up on me. I eventually spoke to the owner manager who admitted that her staff lied to me. I told her that I would never leave my dog at a daycare facility that would lie about something like this. I would never go back. Plus, the manager of Fishtown facility, Alexia, is a snooty little B.

You can tell that she loves the place - lots of tail wagging and excitement whenever we visit. For those whose dogs are their "children," this is the place. I always feel the staff treats Dosa like they would treat their own dog. I get lovely email/text updates and while I miss her, I am never worried about her treatment or care. Dosa stays in a villa as she is dog-reactive, and they are very careful with her. She loves her 1:1 playtime and cuddles and I get the feeling she gets a lot of attention there. At each stay, they wash her bedding and toys and she returns home happy with lots of good memories. Jared and the team know Dosa and I feel so confident leaving her in their hands. Two things to note: 1. Check-in can take some time as they inspect her toys for choking hazards. This is great but do make sure you're not cutting it too close with catching a flight. 2. For one improvement, it would be great if the staff can answer the phone after hours. Dosa (like many dogs) gets anxious during thunderstorms and has medication to help. I've tried calling the office when I know a thunderstorm is expected in Philly, but they do not answer and I don't think they've given her the meds. Not a deal-breaker, but just an area for improvement. Thank you, Philly Pet Hotel team! xoxo, Dosa
