You could truly feel the Spirit moving throughout the service--it was powerful and uplifting. I really enjoyed myself and genuinely felt God's presence during worship and the message. From the moment I arrived to the time I left, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind, which made the experience even more meaningful. If I lived closer, this is definitely a church I would visit regularly just to get a deeper sense of the community and overall vibe. I would highly recommend The Village Church to anyone looking for a welcoming, Spirit-filled place of worship.

The volunteers are extremely friendly from opening doors, to welcoming you with loving arms. Childcare is spot on, offering something that both of my kids enjoy every time! They come home knowing the word of God. The cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat before service and the FREE fruit infused water stations throughout the building are a nice touch. Parking is a breeze with lots of people assisting in finding a spot and keeping the lot organized, there's even a golf cart to drive you to the building if needed. The bookstore has a lot of book options, as well as beautiful home decor, apparel, jewelry and toys for the kids. The wednesday night services are so wonderful as they get deeper in the word. They are not trying to change the world by adopting the world's methods. It is not about left or right. It is about what is right according to God's Word. The messages preached here are not the opinions of man--they are rooted in what God has already said. Come prepared to hear the truth. Some people cannot handle it, and that is why criticism comes. I was afraid to return to church, I did not want my children to return to church to get caught up…read morein religion. My daughter however talked me into letting her go to vacation bible school last summer at Baptist Bolivar in Sanger. She soon talked me into coming to church. Then she made me promise to come to Sunday worship, I thought I can give up an hour for my daughter because it is important to her. I prayed every time that I walked into the Church that I would only be able to hear the truth and every religious lie would pass me by. And there were times during a few sermons that I was not sure at all what he was talking about. I wondered if that was my prayer or my the lack of my faith closing the truth off to me. Then one day Pastor Dickie Amyx got up and preached the truth, he was not there to coddle or sugar coat. And I have not had any problem understanding any sermon since. I have devoted more time to the Church and have decided that I have really missed having God in my life. I feel very welcome every time I walk into the church. I know that if there is anything that I need, I have to do is ask. I have never seen so many people give so much of themselves to their church, the church family and the community. I am thankful that God has used my daughter to bring me back to him. I am very thankful that he has brought me to Bolivar Baptist Church. He has given me a church family made up of all different kinds of people who love God and want to better their walk with Him and who truly care about you, your family, and your walk with God.
