Pastor Nelson and his staff are incredible! They tell you the truth and even though it may be hard to hear sometimes, it is always backed by the Bible and what God intended and wants for His people. How amazing is that?! You really get to dig deep in this church. My Dad always says, "we're getting Seminary teaching for free". And it's so true! DBC is wonderful for all ages and has many ways to plug yourself into the Body of Christ. I grew up in AWANA, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Sports World, and more! I was afraid to return to church, I did not want my children to return to church to get caught up…read morein religion. My daughter however talked me into letting her go to vacation bible school last summer at Baptist Bolivar in Sanger. She soon talked me into coming to church. Then she made me promise to come to Sunday worship, I thought I can give up an hour for my daughter because it is important to her. I prayed every time that I walked into the Church that I would only be able to hear the truth and every religious lie would pass me by. And there were times during a few sermons that I was not sure at all what he was talking about. I wondered if that was my prayer or my the lack of my faith closing the truth off to me. Then one day Pastor Dickie Amyx got up and preached the truth, he was not there to coddle or sugar coat. And I have not had any problem understanding any sermon since. I have devoted more time to the Church and have decided that I have really missed having God in my life. I feel very welcome every time I walk into the church. I know that if there is anything that I need, I have to do is ask. I have never seen so many people give so much of themselves to their church, the church family and the community. I am thankful that God has used my daughter to bring me back to him. I am very thankful that he has brought me to Bolivar Baptist Church. He has given me a church family made up of all different kinds of people who love God and want to better their walk with Him and who truly care about you, your family, and your walk with God.

My family and I have been attending Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Sanger, and it…read morehas been a true spiritual gift to us. The chapel is reverent and beautiful, and the Traditional Latin Mass is offered with great care, devotion, and faithfulness by the priests of the Society of St. Pius X. At present, the chapel is blessed to be under the pastoral care of Fr. Ian Palko. He is attentive, compassionate, and deeply pastoral -- qualities that are especially evident in the confessional, where his counsel reflects genuine fatherly concern for the salvation of souls. The liturgy is deeply prayerful and lifts the mind and heart toward God. The choir is exceptional and sounds almost angelic, adding greatly to the solemnity and sacred atmosphere of the Mass. The community is welcoming and clearly committed to living the Catholic faith as it has been handed down. With regular confessions, First Saturday devotions, and a strong devotion to traditional worship, this chapel remains firmly rooted in Catholic tradition. For anyone seeking reverent liturgy, sound pastoral care, and an authentic expression of Catholic life, Our Lady of Fatima is truly a special place. I highly recommend it.
