As far as the bank itself (nationally), in almost three years of being their customer, I've only had one bad experience. I like that I've been able to seamlessly do my banking in three different states without any hangups. They are open every day except Christmas and have evening hours (until 6 or 7pm at every branch on weekdays.) For the convenience factor they are great. The online systems work well, and when I had an offshore fradulent charge show up on my account, their security department was very efficient in helping me clear that up. I like this bank. Other banks have sent me flyers offering bonuses for opening accounts, some other South Bend banks are 10-15 minutes closer to my house, and there is no "prestige" banking inside a Walmart, but I am staying with Woodforest. They have earned my business time and time again.

The people working there are unnecessarily RUDE. And when I mean rude, I mean RUDE. Especially the old, curly-haired women. They always have a problem with you or something. It's as if every time I said, "Can I have this cashed/withdrawn/signed" they always respond with a snotty, "Uh-uh, we can't do that..." And then they act all suspicious for no reason at all. Seriously ladies, pull the stick out of your butts. Bleeeeh. Glad I moved out of town.

This was our third bank we went to today. The first I have a bad review and you can read it if you want (the key bank on hively Avenue). The second was good but since they were more local they advised against them due to that the international transfers may not happen well. Third was the charm and they saw us right away and we got approved and got it setup. The account manager even told us things to consider such as the transfer fees (which we knew about) and some other things to consider. She was most helpful.

She (the manager)had a look of disgust on her face as she talked to me. I'm sorry but racism? Because when she turned to help the white lady next to me she was all smiles and kind as the lady wanted her checks cashed. Excuse me? You just told me you didn't have any cash because you hadn't gotten a delivery. The teller was just as rude, I'm guessing training involves the "do as I do" Method. Obviously the on boarding process doesn't cover how to treat a client. I'm still debating taking this matter above the branch manager.
