The best part of the recital was the organization. The staff went to great lengths (and spent a lot of their own time) to organize the entire weekend into 1 hour segments. No sitting through 3 hours of routines to see my daughter's 60 second performance. I LOVED it and my daughter really enjoyed the experience. Classes here are a full hour and from what I have seen, the instructors are top-notch!

Disappointed is an understatement. I brought my daughter to this place pretty much because it's the…read moreonly gymnastics place nearby, and since another parent from my daughter's ballet school mentioned it, I thought "why not?" My daughter is blessed with a natural athletic build and is very active. She is also labeled with ASD, but is extremely high functioning, verbal and social. She takes ballet twice a week. My daughter joins the class thats starts running around the mats, and within the first 10 minutes of the stretching exercises, this old lady comes over and rudely asks "who's child is that?" "She doesn't belong here." I told them that I had mentioned on the phone prior to attending, that my daughter was only 5, and it was her first time. I then went on to tell them she ASD, but is high functioning. The man asked me "what is that?" I told him Autism, and he still didn't seem to know what that was. The old lady comes over again, to say that she cannot be in this class, that this is not the place for her, which starts to piss me off frankly because she's kicking out my 5 year old for not following along with stretches, even though it was her 1st time ever and no one was even showing her what to do! They were literally kicking us out! Aside from the fact that she is special needs, why would they have me come to this class knowing that my daughter is only 5 in kindergarten. She was trying to follow along and keep up with the stretches, but they were moving rather quickly and apparently they had some 3rd graders in that class. As I was explaining this, the old lady is pressuring us to leave, without offering an alternative. I told the man how rude the lady was, and all he says is " I don't disagree with you, but she can't keep up." And that's it. I left, and cried in the parking lot because I couldn't believe how ignorant and cruel people could be towards children, especially children with special needs. My daughter could totally do this, but they would give her a chance! Wouldn't even teach her the stretch exercises! They just expected her to follow everyone. I should've sued those jerks because this felt like discrimination.
