I took a SIBO test, rested positive, was prescribed Xifaxan to take 3 times a day for 14 days with no other follow-up or anything. I messaged and called multiple times. Dr. Eileen Quillin refused to address this matter herself on the portal even after several attempts. She kept forwarding me to a nurse, who was less than helpful and rude. A week and a half she argued with me. I guess the Banner Health mission is not followed by staff. Banner Health is deeply committed to our mission: "To make a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care."From: Bessey RN, Brenda KTo: Sent: 03/19/2024 17:05:54 MDTSubject: FW: Follow up regarding SIBO Concerns As mentioned previously we contacted Magellan through the portal and NO PROBIOTICS ARE COVERED. We also contacted the pharmacy and spoke with them to confirm this was correct. They stated there are no alternatives available; which means it doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. I called the number you provided and spoke with Pam she spent 20 minutes going through the covered medications list and the OTC medication list and again there are NO PROBIOTICS covered regardless of a prior authorization. If it's not covered I can't request a prior authorization. I have provided a copy of the OTC product list that I found online. (this is below). It is not the responsibility of clinical staff or providers to be aware of what insurance companies will cover the cost of; especially OTC medications.

I scheduled a colonoscopy for late June and received a call in early July to discuss prep solutions. I also got numerous emails about the appointment date and the requirement for a ride home (not a Lyft or taxi). That was the extent of the communication. My appointment was on a Monday. On the preceding Friday afternoon, I discovered my prescription was not at the pharmacy, and they had no record of it. When I called the office at 3:25 PM, they were already closed for the day. I had to contact the on-call physician to get the necessary prep prescription. I never received any written instructions for the prep, nor did I get confirmation of the appointment time or location. This led to me going to the wrong place, as I had relied on the address from their website where I also found the prep instructions. I had to call my ride back to take me to the correct location. At the surgery center, they were running two hours behind schedule. Despite being asked to check in an hour before the appointment, my procedure started almost three hours after my check-in time. By then, I had not eaten for 30 hours and had been without water for 7 hours, leaving me weak and uncomfortable. Overall, while the surgical staff was commendable, the poor communication and scheduling mishaps were highly frustrating. I do not recommend this doctor's office and will not be returning.

STAY AWAY! At my first visit with the PA Dr. Reilly , I felt understood and supported. The nurse…read moreteam is very supportive and responsive. However, as my condition got worse and didn't improve, the care declined. Dr. Reilly suggested I continue to use Miralax and other laxatives for my chronic constipation after my colonoscopy came up clear. No further investigation was suggested. I asked to see a dietician, and she referred me to someone. I was told the first 3 visits are covered by my insurance with pre approval. I double checked with both my insurance AND their care team AND their billing department before attending an appointment. After working with the dietician for several months, I continued to have trouble. I switched to Dr. Raju Ramu at the practice in Louisville. He brushed me off saying I needed to add more fiber to my diet and continue the Miralax. Then I get 3 bills at full price for the dietician, had I paid out of pocket it would have been $100 cheaper, even though their billing department verified and my insurance rep said it would be covered. Not only that, they charged me TWICE for the same visit taking money from my HRA BOTH times. This is ROBBERY. Not to mention they were charging me twice every time I went to the doctor, charging me at the time of the visit and then taking money out of my HRA. I didn't catch it right away, so who knows how much money they've stolen from me. When I called the billing department they said they would reimburse me but there was no way for them not to double charge me. So if you don't pay attention, they will DOUBLE charge you and they will not fill out the proper paperwork for your insurance to cover the extras.

GI of the Rockies will balance bill you and is not forthright in their cost. Avoid this facility at all costs. Original Review: Be warned, this office location is not owned by GI of the Rockies and you will be billed by a multiplier of 4x to 5x for the facility alone. You will be told about this charge, but only one day before your appointment. Their automated calls to remind you about the appointment hang up after you answer, forcing you to call back and wait on hold to ask why you received a phone call in the first place. Lastly, during my visit there was tape all over and the office did not look finished. I have serious concerns about whether or not this is a legitimate endoscopy center and would not recommend this business.

Ten years ago, when I first went to Gastrointestinal of the Rockies, they were a much smaller…read morepractice with only a couple of locations. At that time, my experience was straightforward and professional. After my procedure, Dr. Kaye clearly told me everything looked great, there were no polyps, and I should return in 10 years. Fast forward to recently, I was contacted by the practice and told I was "due" for another colonoscopy. I questioned this multiple times, specifically asking the scheduler to double-check the notes, because I had been told 10 years. Instead of verifying, I was firmly told I was incorrect and that their records showed I was due at 7 years. Reluctantly, I scheduled the procedure. Days before the appointment, I was informed that the physician I had specifically requested had decided to take the afternoon off. My options were to reschedule or proceed with a different doctor. Since I had already begun the prep process, I had little choice but to move forward. Here is where things become truly unacceptable: As I'm lying on the table, IV in place, the new doctor walks in and asks if I'm having any problems. I say no. He then tells me, "You're not due for a colonoscopy for another three years." This confirmed exactly what I had been saying all along. At that point--after the prep, the disruption, and already being prepped with an IV--I went through with the procedure anyway. But the fact that I was put in that position due to their internal error is inexcusable. Afterward, I made multiple attempts to contact management to understand how this happened. Not a single call was returned by anyone in a leadership position. The only outreach I ever received was from a nurse--not someone accountable for the breakdown. Only after posting a brief, non-detailed negative review (in hopes someone would respond) did I hear anything further--and that was a letter "terminating" me as a patient. The letter was not even signed by a specific individual. This practice has clearly grown, but unfortunately, the professionalism, communication, and accountability have not grown with it. Between: * Incorrect medical scheduling information * Lack of internal communication * Last-minute physician changes * Inability to reach management * And ultimately dismissing a patient rather than addressing concerns ...I cannot recommend this practice to anyone. If you value clear communication, accuracy, and accountability in your medical care, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. PS. ******** Gastroenterology of the Rockies has a mixed to largely negative reputation, with many patient reviews highlighting significant administrative issues, long hold times, and poor communication, leading to low ratings on Yelp (often 2.5 stars or less). While some patients report positive experiences with specific doctors, others complain about disorganized care and difficult scheduling, particularly in the Boulder, Longmont, and Denver locations.******
