A Beacon of Hope for Chronic Pain Sufferers I have been…read moreliving with chronic pain for about 15 years, and honestly, it is a grind. When my primary doctor referred me to Boone Health Pain Management in Columbia, MO, I was a bit skeptical, but also desperate for relief. After my first appointment last week, I can genuinely say that I feel that I have found a team that genuinely cares and has the knowledge to help me. This gives me hope for a better quality of life with less pain. From the moment I walked in, the experience was impressive. The front desk staff were welcoming, the wait time was incredibly short, and the initial nurse was professional and kind. Then I met my pain management doctor (Annie Metzner), she completely exceeded my expectations as she seems knowledgeable, was very thorough, and took the time to listen to my long history of pain and me trying to convey my level of pain (what probably seemed like a grown man crying like a baby). I detailed to her my chronic low back pain, fibromyalgia pain, and severe joint pain in my knees and elbows. She listened patiently, asked me a-lot of questions, took detailed notes, and most importantly took immediate action. Right away, she ordered X-rays of my knees, scheduled me for physical therapy, and booked me for knee injections. For the first time in a long time, I have a profound sense of hope. Getting referred to Boone Health Pain Management and being assigned to Dr. Metzner and her team looks to be a God sent gift, for me. I am hopeful. Their initiative-taking and caring approach made me feel seen, heard, and cared about. I am genuinely optimistic about a future with less pain. If you are dealing with chronic pain, I highly recommend this clinic. They are a fantastic team. I do realize that this is just the beginning, therefore I have a long road ahead of me. Although, I plan to do everything they recommend and pray for the best results. I will update this review as I progress through the process to a life with less pain.

I am so thankful that this is where I go for health and wellness because I felt like I had a supportive team behind me when I needed it most.

I had major ankle surgery and I am almost 3 months out and am doing great, all thanks to this place. I am only 19 years old and most of the people that come in are older but I loved that aspect because I got to meet some really nice people outside of the physical therapists. Sadly I wasn't there as long as I wanted to be (due to the semester ending and having to go home) but, when I walked out for the last time I actually shed a tear. That's how much of an impact all the people in there made on me. Everyone is always joking and laughing no matter the day. I would not be in this great of shape if it wasn't for everyone in there. It doesn't matter who you work with, they are all so great. If you need anything relating to an injury or literally anything physically done this is your place. I wouldn't recommend anyone else in Columbia other than them! If you are looking for a second home while you are injured this is the place for you!
