Every show we have seen has been phenomenal. I love that it's so close and you don't have to go downtown (though that's fun sometimes too). The theater is nice and every seat is a good one. Seriously amazing for a "community" theater that not that far away. I live in Salt Lake and I don't mind the 20 minute drive to this very professional theater. I really don't want to write this review for fear of it being too popular. I don't know where they find all the cast members as most productions have two casts to run as many shows as they do. The sets are well done. The stage is pretty big. It has good lights and sound. The seats are comfortable and has ok spacing for me. There's no obstructions (other than the head in front of you) in seating so just about every seat has a good view. All this and it's pretty affordable. What's not to love. read more

My wife and I made the trek from South Jordan all the way up to Centerpoint Theatre at the recommendation of a friend who told us that we HAD to see Ragtime. It was worth the drive. The theater is beautiful-very well maintained and the layout is nice. I noticed that there is also a training center-possibly for students or classes. We enjoyed some snacks from the concessions stand and were pleased to find reasonable prices. So often, places will charge such high rates for snacks that they no longer taste good. And to top it off, they carry Utah mint truffle bars-my absolute favorite! We look forward to returning in the future. read more

My wife and I really enjoy what Centerpoint Legacy Theater has to offer. Last night we had the opportunity to attend Peter and the Starcatcher. We have attended a handful of performances at this kid friendly multi-venue, community theater and have always enjoyed our experiences. Centerpoint strongly encourages local talent, to audition and perform. The one thing we have a passion for, is supporting local; be it restaurants, festivals, farmers markets, local vendors and in this case... the arts. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house. The theater(s) are smaller in size, which reduces the congestion and long lines you encounter at the larger venues. The volunteers are always so friendly and kind. As far as the the acting, music and performances are concerned...it's impressive. We have some wonderful local talent!!!! The theater provides a small and incredibly reasonable concession stand, where you can purchase a small treat, water and soft drinks. We will continue to visit this theater and I would encourage you to give it a try. It's a great way to support and promote our local talent, while enjoying a fun experience, that is price friendly. Certainly well worth a visit and/or date night. read more

We attended a performance of "Scrooge" at the Centerpoint Legacy Theatre a few weekends ago and it was really excellent! The play was very well casted and acted, the singing was terrific, the set pieces and decorations were great, and the whole production was very, very good. For a community production I was really impressed. The Centerpoint Legacy Theatre is located just off I-15 and there is lots of free parking available outside. Do make sure to arrive early though because the parking lot can become a little congested as it gets closer to showtime. read more

Centerpoint Legacy Theatre is an absolutely beautiful venue. Many of the theaters around here can't seem to live up to the hype of Hale, but Centerpoint is nipping at their heels, I tell you what. The quality of talent here is top-notch - they've had everyone from a former Broadway star to the kid next door performing on their stage. You never have to cringe when any of their dance numbers begin or a singer opens his/her mouth. All of the actors here are volunteers, many have been paid elsewhere but they come here because they love to perform. The costumes, lighting, sound...it's all been great! The seats are comfortable and most have a great view, although I'd stray away from the rear or far sides of the balcony. I've seen six shows there now, including one in their black box theater. I've auditioned for three shows there. Every part of this new facility is wonderful from top to bottom. They have amazing dance and rehearsal studios on the lower-level for auditions, rehearsals, theater classes, youth theater, etc. The staff and directors for the shows have all been friendly and efficient in running auditions/classes. It's worth the drive to Centerville to see a show here. There are several restaurants or fast food places in the area if you want to grab a bite to eat first. A Very nice SuperTarget and Walmart are across the street as well in case you have some errands to run after the show. read more

Great local performance theater. This newly built theater costed million dollars and surviving on donation and volunteer actors/actresses who are doing this as a passion. This theater built beautifully but small because it is local. Even though the actors/actresses are volunteers, they are definitely talented and did a great job! I saw three different plays here. See Them Run was absolutely hilarious! And the whole crowd was laughing and giggling. Christmas Carols which was something I always want to see. It was beautiful with touching singing voices. Forever Plaid....OK, I felt bad about this one because I was still trying to recover from jet lag and sickness. They definitely did a great job at singing because it almost serenaded me to dreamland. The second half was more hilarious so I was more awake for that one. Haha... Soon after they are able to pay off the theater, they will start paying their actors/actresses. Wonderful local theater and we will keep supporting them! read more

Centerpoint Legacy Theatre (CLT) is pretty ok! They are not the best theater in town, but for a community theater they put on a nice series of productions. CLT is relatively new and state of the art. The lobby space is inviting and roomy. As you walk in the ticket counter is to your right, concessions are to the left, and they have plenty of restroom facilities for their patron needs. CLT has 2 stages, a main stage and a black box stage. Typically they run both stages at the same time with a variety of shows. The main stage will traditionally house a musical, while the black box will hold a straight play. The main stage has main floor and balcony seating and a full sound and light system, while the black box has fewer seating, a minimalist feel and little or no sound. I have seen some truly spectacular shows here, and I have seen shows that have ... well they just were not good. But that is true for every theater regardless of type. Many factors go into making a good show starting with the script, and finishing with the actors, director, and technical aspects. So I really cannot mark the theater down for all of those factors. However, I will say that with the amount of money put into the various aspects of a show, I do expect that the technical aspects of this theater would be better than they typically are. They building itself is well maintained inside and out. It is generally clean. The staff have always been pleasant with me, and I do go back again and again. Tickets generally cost in the $20 range which is spendy for a community theater show, but the venue is typically nicer than other local community theaters so I do not mind paying a little more. I would say that CLT is to Davis County, what Hale Centre is to Salt Lake County if that gives you an idea. read more

My family always gets season tickets and we've rarely, if ever, been disappointed with a show here. The staff is well-knowledgeable and friendly and the facility is always clean. Not only do they do their major shows, but they also have some pretty hilarious smaller ones in their other theater. CenterPoint puts on events that are fabulous. None of their actors get paid, it's all volunteer work, so they do everything by donations and their ticket sales. They are so amazing and I absolutely love this theater! read more
