This is the worst gas company!!! I have never worked this hard to get a utility turned on. First can't use the automated system or the online system. The online system says my address does not exist, though I have water electricity and had gas at one point. When I call the 1-800 number the get that I have an account, can go through the acts to pay my bill, but then won't take my banking info ( that is already in the system). But here is the best part, the system will take you to a human, but they can't fix the issue. Now I'm trying to still figure out a way to pay a bill for a service that I have been getting for a year, but no matter how may times I complain I don't get a physical bill for. I wish zero stars is what I can give them!! The worst part is the two utilities that the city of tyler, tx force us to use are outdated by 30 years! The way you pay and set up service is so old to the point of damn near useless. Also how is it the gas company does not have an office that you can go to, where you can speak face to face with someone? My issue could have been resolved right then. If I'm forced to use this company, I should be able to talk to a human who can help. Your automated system has to have a human back up. I'm on day THREE of trying to get this fixed. And if the water heater wasn't hooked up to gas, I wouldn't even bother. For 20 year I was lucky enough to not have to deal with a gas company, because I lived in homes that didn't use gas. But living a a town that doesn't care enough about it's residents, to force their utilities company to at least get rid of their dot matrix printer and update both the phone and automated online systems proves that my hare of the town is well founded. And center point energy needs to be better. At least fix your systems if you expect your customers to actually pay you. But I'm sure that the quality of service I get ties directly into what side of town I live on. I'm sure south Tyler gets better service, I have noticed that the north side of Tyler does not get the same service that the south side does. Looking like center point is no different. Don't use gas here, just find another way. read more
