When the place closed, my friend and I walked down the street, realized we were heading in the wrong direction, and turned around. As we were passing by the Centerfold entrance, a bouncer turned to my friend and said "If you come near me again I will break your jaw." This certainly came as a surprise, as we had not provoked him or even interacted with him in anyway. Perhaps he thought we were sketchy because we were talking to a homeless man earlier. Went by Centerfolds Boston recently for the first time during the day and was surprised to see such pretty girls! I travel to Boston a couple times a month & usually go at night time...but the day shift is definatly worth the five stars! The girls are are so nice and actually take the time to get to know you before any exchange of money! I was also surprised to see how good they were at dancing...if you have been to CF at night, you can appreciate that...ha. To avoid the pricey $20 cover charge, I went before 8 PM. I paid only $10 bucks. The girls are OK. All white skinny chicks. Not a lot of ethnic diversity. If you're into these type of girls, then you'll be pleased. To be frank, they're way too skinny for me and a bunch of them had fake boobs! :( The place is well lit. The girls are amazing pole dancers and you can see completely nude ladies. It's 20 bucks for a lap dance and $500 for 1 hour with any girl in a private room. I didn't go for any of those. Great place. Treated fairly especially for not being "regulars". Ended up going there for a friends bachelor party, and we all had a great time! The women there are beautiful. Especially when compared to some other clubs in the area. VIP wasn't too pricey, we paid $175 for a bottle of Belvedere which included balcony seating, our personal beautiful waitress, and "vouchers" for free dances. On my birthday, I was with friends and at about 1030 we decided to hit up Centerfolds. I had heard so many good things about it, and I wanted to go to a classy establishment. So, I ended up paying 20 bucks to get in, my bar tab was 140 bucks (14 per mixed/8 per beer) and it was awful. They played some awesome songs, and the girls didn't do shit. They moved slowly, like stupid cattle, brushing their boobs every now and then, and had zero personality. Out of about 10 girls that we saw, 2 got on the pole, and only 1 did anything worth my money on it (and I gave it to her). Every girl danced pretty much identically to the girl before her. I have a much better time at Zachs on Cape, where the girls look like they're happy to be naked and take the money that I happily cashed when I got my check. And I will never go there again, or suggest it. What a rip off. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have a number of complaints about Centerfolds, from trivial to fairly serious and concerning. First, the most concerning and unsavory facet of my personal experience at Centerfolds, which I am putting right here at the top because everyone NEEDS TO read this! In the short amount of time we spent in the club on a Saturday night, I put one drink on my debit card. With tip the total was $17. (Expensive, but expected at a strip club.) When reviewing my bank account on the following Monday morning, I noticed a $100 charge from a place called "12 Lagrange." My immediate thought was - "I saw a strip club scamming people like this on Law & Order once..." I promptly phoned my bank to dispute the charge. Well, a week+ goes by and I call the bank to check in. They report that the establishment has rebutted the dispute and requires me to produce a receipt in order to refund the disputed charges. I got off the phone upset and just decided to check in on that week's charges in my online banking app just for shits and giggles. Oddly enough, my $100 charge from 12 Lagrange has disappeared and been replaced with a $17 charge from "OZNEMOC RESTAURA NT GP Boston Ma". It is clear to me that they likely do this often - overcharge cards in hopes that no one notices, when a dispute comes through it is rebutted to divert any red flags, and the charge is adjusted to keep the disputer quiet and happy. I am sure 50%+ of the people who are overcharged never even notice. My less concerning complaints are as follows: As mentioned before, we went out on a Saturday night. Myself, my husband, and another couple. The place wasn't slow, but not at all packed. The bouncers/doormen were nice but it was kind of a strange vibe. We were asked to "get in line," regardless of the fact that... there was no line. The $20 cover was a bit much when taking into consideration that we have paid the same to get into larger, nicer, and cleaner clubs. Centerfolds is VERY small and VERY dated. The decor had the '80's Miami Tony Montana vibe - white "marble," blueish purple lights, etc. The dim lighting disguised the filth in the club, and the tables / chairs were cheap and uncomfortable, similar to what would be found in a low-level function hall like an Elks Club. The dancers. The dancers were all very pretty and had your typical "ideal" body - skinny with nice, usually fake, boobies. However, they were the most boring strippers I had ever seen. They walked onto the (one-person) staged and slowly writhed around for three or four songs. It was awful. There was also next to NO diversity. However, the one (adorable) black stripper was the ONLY ONE who got up on the pole, and the only one who approached our group at all to talk or solicit lap dances. All in all, the night was wasted, and the resonating scumminess of the place in my financial life was downright abusive and distasteful. read more

centerfolds is very overpriced for what it is. that being said, it's a definite fun time. my first visit to centerfolds was when my friend wanted to go for her birthday. i was SO down because i hadn't been to a strip club in a really long time and i'm a big fan of poledancing. i had a suspicion that the drinks were going to be really expensive at the club, so i made sure to get roaring drunk before we got there. my first stop upon entering the club was the bar for a TWELVE DOLLAR jack on the rocks. sounds insane, i know, but it paid off because i thought the bartender was really cool and talked to him for like 10 minutes (completely ignoring the hot naked women right behind me) and he wound up giving me a few comp passes so i could get in for free on subsequent visits. i'm sure he regretted this after witnessing my behavior later on in the night. we got to sit RIGHT in front of the stage which was AWESOME. i'm not a huge fan of "stripping," but i LOVE poledancing. much to my delight, all the chicks were REALLY good at doing cool pole moves. i was politely enthusiastic about this until i'd downed my third glass of whiskey at which point i probably should've been escorted out. for the next hour or so i was yell-talking to the strippers about whatever i felt like telling them about, while LOUDLY clapping and cheering and throwing money everytime they'd do a cool pole spin or something. at the time i thought this was perfectly acceptable. after a second visit to centerfold's though, i realized that everyone's rather stoic and no one shows much enthusiasm except for tipping. i was out of control and i'm still curious as to why my behavior was tolerated, considering that i was probably annoying the SHIT out of the other customers. but whatever , the strippers thought it was fun and were paying lots of attention to me so i was happy. couple clarifications on other reviews: 1)the bouncers are NOT unfriendly. i've seen them talk shit to people, but ONLY to douchebags who wanted to act all cool and tough. if you're polite, they're polite (having girls with you probably doesn't hurt either). 2) you do NOT have to be drinking the whole time. this is a bold faced lie. maybe you got hassled cuz you were boring and they wanted to make you at least somewhat interesting. read more

What a great place.. My wife & I attended a wedding in Boston 4th of July weekend. Sat nite we went to Centerfolds.. Being from rual Western Mass & not a city we feel a little outa place in Boston. Don't get me wrong about how beautiful the girls are because i first want to commend the security staff.. The girls are gorgeous!!! But the security is TOP NOTCH.. We couldn't have felt more safe in a strange city thanks to those guys.. 5 stars for Centerfolds!! Highly recomended. read more

This strip club gets a decent grade from me simply for the eye candy purpose alone. I hate the $20 cover charge and they offer cheap massages for $25 from the ladies. Lap dancers or private dances are $25 and there ok but no contact at all I hate look but don't touch. Other strip clubs maybe shouldn't but they allow contact atleast for her to bounce on your lap no contact at all at this place. Well...its better than glass slipper next door that's for sure. Have got a VIP table here a few times. Bottles are a little on the pricey side for a seemingly divey strip club. Once your order a bottle it's damn near impossible to flag down the bottle girl for another drink from your own bottle unless you tip her on top of the 20% you already mandatory tipped for the price of the table. Bouncers are completely unprofessional and rude, just because your in a suit and presentation on the outside is decent because they stand there allegedly doing there job, but clearly ruining the business because of how rude and unprofessional. Never give these people the time or money if your going to a place like that, took some friends there from out of town and was completely embarrassed and didn't even walk into the door this time. If there was was an option for 0 stars - this place would have it. Went with my girlfriend and her house mate - and we were all asked to cough up $20 each! Whatever happened to girls get in free. The girl at the entrance who collected the cash was rude - didnt even consider the prospect of letting in the girls for free. The strippers stay ONLY by the pole. I had the sa,etc problem as 3 other guys on here I was at the club and decided to take a girl up to champagne wish ended up being a horrible mistake when she kept offering me to buy drugs and the whole time she was just falling asleep because of how high she was. Me and my partner we went last night on a Sunday around 10 pm for the first time ever. We didn't know what to expect at all so we asked the doorman and he was very nice and told us it was only a $10 cover charge and he could check our shopping bags for free. We were ushered in and met Trevor and asked is if we've ever been before and where we were from and it was nice he seemed go actually care. When we went in he asked where we wanted to sit and said we could switch to the stage if we wanted to. A waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. A bottle of bud light and a rum and coke was 16 bucks. We ended up switching to the stage to get the whole experience and there were only about 2 dancers that really used the pole. One of them being Madison who was a sweetheart. At the end of the night she came and thanked both of us since we looked like we were having so much fun and cheering her on. Even though drinks are expensive they don't push you to buy more which Is nice. They also can switch your larger bills into 1s which was nice since we only went on a spur of the moment decision. Overall I'd probably go again...i had a lot of fun. Note...some of the girls have no dance skills and do the same moves all of their sets. read more

Definitely as good as it gets... :) This is, to me, the best possible of its kind. During the weekdays (recommended) it's spacious, and one doesn't get the feeling that you have to constantly drink or get out; I also found the bouncers very respectful. It feels truly classy, the girls are amazing dancers and look awesome, and nice too. In my personal opinion, some of the negative reviews the place got are due to the fact that some people fail to realize that beatiful girls constantly dancing on stage costs money, and that's why drinks are evidently more costly than other places; it comes with the territory :) It's definitely worth the visit, especially for gentlemen in town for a short visit, when you don't mind paying 60$ for a night out... we have all the rest of the year to drink bud lite in front of the TV, watching our wife dance to "its raining men" wearing her old "trenton high school's soccer team 1982" pants. For some reason because I was in a major city, I expected a lot more out of Centerfolds. The girls were certainly a mixed bag in looks, talent and demeanor. It was rare to find a girl who seemed to actually enjoy her job and could dance well. The ways girls came onstage was a bit bizarre too. Each girl danced for three songs and there was no secondary stage. I'm not saying I have stripper ADD but I get bored of a girl easily if she doesn't capture my interest. Okay so maybe I have stripper ADD but I like seeing the carousel of ladies that I might have the opportunity to have their breasts in my face. The one thing I loved about Centerfolds though was the security detail. As a female in a club, guys tend to assume that you work there and can get a bit grabby. The security staff made sure I was escorted to and from my seat to go to the ladies room or anywhere else in the club. I felt really safe there which was a nice change of pace. Overall, Centerfolds is by no means a bad club but it just didn't have anything special about it that would make me want to go back. read more
