I am an extremely lucky 23 year old. I have a good friend who was born with a lot of money. How does someone get lucky enough to be born to rich parents? I would love to know, but this friend is. I have been to centerfolds three times since march on his dime. For this reason I was able to enjoy myself without having to worry about my money pouring away. Even with his money we try not to go too crazy ($3000 tops) and not stay too long, but the bar tab is always a surprise. Which is why it makes sense to start drinking before you come. The waitresses leave you alone if your drinking slow as long as you tip well. So you can get away with milking it if you have too. Personally I have more fun there when I stay relatively sober (able to still talk intelligently). The girls won't sit without a drink and if your spending money the bouncers take care of you. What we like about centerfolds is the fact it is classy. We get treated with respect, the woman are beautiful and walk in a way that shows confidence, but a softness that makes them approachable. Sure they come and work for your attention and money, but in a different way then I expected. I have a girlfriend, I don't go there looking to get laid, or too see what I cant have. But when you can feel like Hue Hefner while your there, well that's every mans dream. Of course the attention you get is only cause your pockets are full. The girls are there to make money so its a trade off. While the girls are at your table they flirt and talk. You can assume most of what they say is bullshit but being young its easy to connect on some level. If you go up to the champagne room its $260 for a half hour plus a hundred dollar fee to the house which can be applied to a bottle of champagne. The cheapest bottle is 275 and is a mere 4 glasses. The girls undress and they may undress you as well. Its more of a intimate setting but is still an open lounge but private. Classy. Up there the girls get a little more friendly, they can touch you more, massage you. You have more freedom too. There isn't a bouncer looking over your shoulder, or too be seen at all while you are up there. The first time we went up my friend picked a girl at random that he hadn't talked to "invite" upstairs. (For the money you are dropping they won't say no but they can if they want, they have standards too). That was a mistake. If you want to know what its like to be upstairs in the back in private, talk to the girl first, buy her a drink, get a dance first. The best way to get to know the girls is to talk to them while getting a dance. It just seems more honest when someones naked even if it is a lie. But spending upwards of a thousand dollars to have a good time means you should have a good time. Not just stare at a pair of breasts while your buddy flirts and has a good time. Centerfolds is expensive, but it is worth going to once, just be prepared to pay. If its crowded you will spend less, if its empty well you may be in for a treat. I have been to clubs in Vegas and I tell you this is not the same thing. Going to Centerfolds is like going to a nice cigar bar to hang with a buddy and enjoy a finer slice of life. And there are reviews that say it can be a hostile there. And I have seen it, it can be. They take no shit. But that's why you go there instead of next door. When you walk through those doors money or not you got to take on the persona that your home, that this is where you belong. There are a good amount of young girls, recently turned 21(that's the minimum age to work there). And there are girls that it will be there first time dancing. Its centerfolds so they are all gonna be gorgeous. I don't know if anyone is gonna read this at all, today next week or a year from now. But if you got the money go and have a good time. A lot of people think strippers make a lot of money. The truth is most don't. Its hard when you start, the club takes a cut, your tip[s get cut into. And there is clearly a hierarchy going on. I've been here 3 times with a former girlfriend and let me say that it's pretty amazing when your girlfriend says "hey, want a lapdance?" Twenty dollars to get in the door is outrageous, but the crowd that is inside isn't a bunch of scumbag deadbeats either. My friend was asked to leave once because he got into a fight with some North Shore guido trash (that was probably there to see his chick) but other than that the stuff was respectable. If this were the night of, it would've probably been a four. Centerfolds was interesting. I went there with my Girlfriend in formal dress and stuff, after a nice dinner out for our 3 month anniversary. Although we mistakenly almost walked into the Glass Slipper next door, which made me feel bad when we forwent the bouncers there and said 'oops!' Upon entering we found a free cocktail table and took seats there in the front row. A very average but busty girl was up doing a fairly normal routine, nothing terribly impressive. The girls typically dance for three songs each one removing an article of clothing until completely nude (yes this is a full-nude bar). After two or three busty-booty type girls, the real show came on. The next girl was a 180 from the last, probably not a day over 20, or a pound over 90. She dispensed with a jaw-dropping pole routine, climbing, sliding, hanging from the crooks of the knees, etc. My girlfriend approached the stage with a $10 bill, which she waved uselessly, as unfortunately the dancers cannot come within armsreach of their clients whilst on the stage. We found the moment pretty odd/awkward since we were unaware of this fact. This also leads to the other gents wadding up their dollar bills and throwing them directly at the girls, which almost made me say something. The next girl was a tad bit fleshed out, probably under 21 and under 90lbs, absolutely stunning. There were no girls that were some of the walking disasters I saw in Texas. All-together it was a pretty nice experience. The reason it would be a 4 is for the $20 covercharge (not waived for girls/couples/anyone who isnt getting naked [although we would have if asked]) and the expensive drinks. Now, the reason it's actually a three is the pending $100 charge on my credit card. Our first waitress served us our 2 drinks and was very polite. She was gorgeous as well, which helped. It was about $25 and a 20% tip for the tab. However, a bouncer asked us to move over to another table before we cashed out with girl 1. Girl2 took over our ticket, and handled my card, but I believe Girl1 forgot to transfer the ticket over (or something). At best it's an honest but clumsy mistake and the $100 is a standard 'walk-out' fee for a tab. At worst it's an attempt to pull a fast one on me and bilk me out of some cash. I'm 22 years old and my co-workers took me out to my first strip club. When you type strip club into your iphone or waze app glass slipper will show up first. After getting a taxi ride there, we where greeted by the front door by the bouncers at centerfold's. They are right next to each other. As other reviews say you need to get in line even if you are the only group waiting. Security is very important and the bouncers are everywhere inside. Once you get through the line you pay $20 a person to get in. After paying they will be told what floor you will be on. The first or second floor. We where told to be on the second floor. Its not that big inside but the second floor is nicer in my opinion. As other people said the seats are wood. The girls are great and are 20-28years old looking. They get on stage and dance to 3 songs on the pole. The first song they have on Bra and panties. After the first song they take it off. The lighting is not great but you can see everything. Overall all the girls had very nice bodys ;) Lap dances will be $20 and last for one song. So you could have a 3 min or 5min dance. I had my co-workers buying me dancers all night so I had 8 lap dances from 5 different girls. you can also buy two girls at once but after experiencing it first hand I don't recommend it for $40. Now for the privet show. For 30min they charge $299 + $100 booth fee. You can substituent the booth fee for 2 bottle's of liquor. They will take you to the 3rd floor for this. WARNING!!! If the girl you are with gets a drink they will charge you for it!!! but is just $6. Also they will want a tip as well. Make sure you talk to the girl before you take her upstairs. to see what she will and will not do. ------------------------- 2ed floor lap dances are no touching. I've been an exotic dancer (on and off) for almost 2 years. I'd never done a contest before, but went to Centerfold's Amateur night to compete. They made us wait until at least 5 girls showed up...that's actually pretty normal. All staff we encountered was very rude. A very nasty bouncer led us upstairs and said, "You've got 5 minutes to get ready, and that's all you should need." They wouldn't let us use the actual dressing room, and we had to change our clothes in the upstairs dancing area. When he complained that we were taking more than 3 minutes, I said that I had come strait from my office. He said, "I di-n't ask where yoos came frum!" After giving us a very literal 5-minute prep time, they brought us back downstairs and made us wait for no less than 2 hours before the contest actually began. No club I've EVER worked in has run their amateur nights like this. After the 2+ hours of waiting, the bouncer and GM INSISTED that we sit on the public stairway to listen to the rules. Power trip much? Ever heard of a staph infection? (BTW - most other reviews I've read about this club say the bouncing staff is NO nicer to the clients. They will treat you guys just as badly, if not worse.) The GM gave us a song and dance about pushing back the contest to 11pm (we were originally told 9pm) so that more guys would show up, so we would make more tips. One girl (who later won) showed up around 10pm, much later than we were told was allowed, heavily implying she had an "in." This was made all the more obvious when the GM said in his speech that no special treatment would be given to girls who know him, his staff or anyone else in the club. BTW, the contest didn't actually begin until 12:15am. They restricted us to one song each, which makes it nearly impossible to make any tips on stage. They clearly enforce MA law about the 2 foot distance as soon as you expose yourself, but take it a step further to say we're not allowed to do floor or pole work. We were specifically told not to lift our feet off the floor, kneel or do tricks. They don't want the amateurs who aren't of their Barbie mold to make friends or fans, that was pretty clear. I'm a size 6, not oveweight by any means, but I don't have fake boobs, fake hair or a fake tan. I'm a natural blonde, and am frequently described as "very cute." But that's not what this club is about. The third place finisher, who the real crowd (as opposed to the fake crowd that the winner brought along with her) clearly loved, was told she had too much ink to work there. She was the one the "regs" seemed to like the most. Too bad they'll never see her there again since management wasn't sharp enough to hire her. The winner was a clone of the existing Centerfold girls, with fake hair, HUGE fake breasts (you could see the veins in her skin, and the scars around her nipples), no butt and too much make-up. I can't agree more with other posters that the girls in this club look very zoned out and can't dance for sh!t. They just wander around on stage and don't appear to make eye contact with anyone. Are they gassing these girls in the dressing room? Were we not allowed back there because we hadn't signed the standard "If you die from the illegal substances we freely supply you, we're not responsible" waiver? The worst: they have apparently been having a problem with not enough girls showing up for the amateur night each week. But if they keep treating contestants this badly, they will never have any returning girls. All of us are going to tell all our dancer friends to never EVER compete here. As a result, they will have the loyal amateur night customers walk out the door. Many men have a very clear fixation on "innocent" girls doing something naughty that they've never done before. Even though this is SO not the case with almost any amateur night anywhere, it does bring in a crowd, and therefore ups bar sales, entry fee sales, and maybe even dances with the "house" girls. But amateur customers really hate dances... they just want to see the college co-ed take her boy shorts off. So, if you keep canceling the contest because no girls are showing up, you lose all those customers, and they take their bar sales with them. Having a "classy" and "upscale" club has nothing to do with fake tans and fake tatas. Many men over the age of 26 have learned two things: 1) fake breasts can be nice to look at, but are no fun for dances, and 2) they would rather spend their money on a girl who is pleasant to spend time with, is nice to look at, and can ALSO put several words together to make sentences. The truth is, the majority of the money spent in strip clubs is by men over the age of 26. Know your audience, people. Target your market. I went to Centerfold's last night, a beautiful Wednesday summer night. I'm a (female) Boston native and my dear friend Mike was in town from Los Angeles. We were on a bit of an assignment, but I'll get to that later. After going out to dinner, we set up a plan, read reviews of Boston and Providence area strip clubs, and asked the cab driver to take us to Centerfold's. As soon as we arrived we were greeted outside by 4 large men, all in suits. First impressions are big, and they certainly made one. They could NOT have been friendlier. Shaking hands, introducing us by name and escorting us inside. They were great. I'm reading some comments on Yelp about people disliking them, but I don't see how that's possible unless you're drunk, giving an attitude, etc. You can tell they mean business, but their job is quite literally to keep things in line. Stay in line, and you shouldn't have an issue. They take their work seriously, and I couldn't have felt safer in the club. There was a $20 cover (yes, even for women), but it's a strip club--I can't believe people on here are complaining or expecting anything different. As we walked in the doors into the club, the lighting was dimmed and blue-ish. I was surprised how many people were there on a Wednesday night. I thought that was a good sign. We were given a table in the corner, diagonal from the main stage. As we walked in we were met by more bouncers, who jokingly were yelling out to my friend "Hey! It's Tim McGraw!" since he was wearing a cowboy hat. After being seated we ordered drinks and a water. A mini (not even full size) bottle of water was six dollars. I know strip clubs have a MAJOR markup, but the 6 dollar water was a bit ridiculous since it wasn't even a full sized bottle. We watched the dancers on stage, making sure to get up and tip before each ended her set. There definitely wasn't any dancing going on- "shimmying" is more like it, and not one dancer made eye contact or even came close to us when we tipped- and we tipped WELL. I give MAJOR props to the quality of the women- they were ALL beautiful. Shockingly good quality. That is SO rare. A+. But here's the thing- we weren't approached once for a lapdance. No dancer even looked in our direction. SIX were just hanging out at the bar talking. When two men dressed in suits came in they immediately went over to them, but I don't blame them. As I said above, I'm female, and my friend Mike was dressed VERY casually in a tee-shirt and cowboy hat. But here's the thing-- you shouldn't always judge a book by it's cover. As I said when I started the review- we were there on a bit of an assignment. You see, Mike is in town from LA because he's on tour...with a MAJOR [male] current top 40 recording artist, and their extremely popular opening band. They had a show in MA area this week. Mike came into town early to visit me and hang out, and was asked to "scope out a good strip club" to bring all the bands to when they arrived in town the following day. We weren't *just* there to look- we were also planning on getting dances. Because we weren't being approached we started tipping more and more to the dancers on stage- from 5 dollars to ten and twenty to see if that would entice them to come over. It didn't, most likely because as I said above not one were even looking at clients while on the stage, they were all looking straight ahead for the most part. I don't even think they saw it was us tipping them. We even left a stack of cash out on the table as we were having our drinks to see if anyone would notice, but they didn't--maybe it was our corner location? All in all, I think the quality of the women was excellent on this particular night, and the staff was all around AWESOME and so friendly upon arrival. But ladies- pay more attention to the patrons. A quick "hello" would have made our night--- and made the following day AWESOME, as we were fully prepared to roll up with a celebrity crew in tow and drop thousands. Update and brief rant: Centerfolds continues to be an embarrassment! I came back here in hopes that this dump would be under new management, and hire new staff, but this place got worse. Nothing has changed since my last review of Centerfolds. The staff remains rude, and unprofessional. As for the girls, I was there on a Saturday night. Strip clubs on weekends as far as I know are suppose to have their A+ line up, "Centerfails" clearly didn't get that memo. The staff continues to eyeball you if you don't continuously tip and buy drinks, I felt like the new guy in prison; where you are waiting for someone to come up to you talking shit. MASSIVE WARNING FOR CREDIT CARD USERS! Last time at Centerfolds I spent 'time' upstairs, which was expensive...but that was my choice. It was necessary to use my credit cards to cover the cost. Three days later fraudulent charges appeared on my credit cards. All came from someplace in Georgia. Obviously one of the Centerfolds employees - likely either the waitress or bouncer - took the opportunity to steal my credit card information. Reporting the fraud charges to the credit card company time consuming. But necessary. Card companies took care of things. New cards coming in. But warning to any guy handing over his card to anyone at this club. I advise you do not. But if so, keep a close eye on you credit charges. Sucks being scammed. But this place has employees who won't think twice about it. Very friendly to your face. But you'll lose out at the end if you are not cautious. read more

I read the previous poor reviews of this club. However, I was in Boston to attend a wedding the following day and had to kill the evening so I decided to take a chance, expecting the worst! I read a lot of negative comments about the bouncers. All I can say is that they were respectful towards me! As I was being escorted in by one, I asked if I could have a seat at the bar rather than a table since I was solo. The gentleman was more than happy to accommodate me. I met Lu the bartender and she took my drink order. We chatted a bit and she seemed incredibly nice and very friendly. As I was sitting there, I saw her have to deal with a few extremely demanding, rude individuals. She remained extremely professional even when left a $1 tip on a large round of drinks. You'll find that the girls and even the waitresses are all rather attractive with a few real standouts!! They all seemed to be very friendly and not overly pushy! So.. Yes.. It's a $20 cover charge to get in... and Yes.. drinks are over-priced and Yes, all these prices are no different than any other halfway decent gentlemen's club in any other city. Speaking for myself, I found the key to a good experience in places like this is quite simply, don't be a jerk.. This is a good place if you have some money to blow. The girls here are top of the line. I only saw 1 skeeve, which is inevitable at a strip club, so only 1 is awesome for their skeeve to fox ratio. They also had 2 outrageously hot asian strippers, one of which completely looked like the girl from Kill Bill with the ball and chain, sweet. The drinks are expensive but the price for private dances is right at $10 a song. The bouncers here are friendly, funny, enjoy their job and it shows. They are all big dudes that could definetly kick my ass, but they are so accomodating I never even contemplated what karate moves I would have to use to take one down incase things start poppin' off. I'm just joking, they could probably all defend my karate, unless I used sneak attack tactics. But I digress, I can't put my finger on why this isn't a 5 star review. Cool people, beautiful dancers, but I can think of some small things that prevent it from being my top topless spot. Its $5 to use the ATM, and the girls can't touch you at all during private dances. Alright so I had to come here on Friday night for a company party. First off they treat you like cattle when you are being admitted into the club. They tried to make us pay a $20 cover (per person) on top of "free VIP passes" however the Bouncer manager eventually remember who he gave the free passes to in our group and let us in. The website advertises 100+ girls. The first floor had maybe 2-3 ladys and numerous drunk college aged kid. The second floor (where we were seated) had 2-3 more ladys. The women were not at all attractive. The performers asked a few of us for illegal narcotics, I alerted the bouncer and he just rolled his eyes and sighed and said "it is what it is". Well maybe you guys should fire the junkies and hire girls who are just trying to pay tuition.... If you also go to his place enjoy spending Fenway prices for watered down drinks in small glasses. $10 for a Miller lite and between 14-18 for a jack and coke (the change the price on each drink so who knows how much the employees are STEALING) or how about $7 for a glass of SODA!!!!. To add icing on the cake of crap this place is I a few guys bought me a dance, she did not even take her clothes off (isnt that the point of a gentleman's club?) Also the bouncers kept walking around calling us cheap and bum's for not spending $450 each to go to the champagne room for private dances. Yes disrespect customers who show up with lots of money that is smart. After about an hour we left, the bouncers and staff are rude and unprofessional. Next time I'm in town and clients want a place to see naked chicks this will be the last place on my list. If you want a quality place (I mean quality with sarcasm) check out Macs 2's in Billrica or one of the Rhode Island venues, you won't be treated as badly and the prices are better. BORING We went last night after a ton of drinks and at the expense of a company party. 10 of us rolled up on a party bus and went to go inside, the door guy (dressed in a Russian hat) would not let us in, it was FREEZING cold and half of us were women and had left our coats on our bus. Once he decided which door he was going to let us into, they shuffled us upstairs and moved seats around and basically told us to stay put. We were by no means a rowdy bunch but come on, we were obviously there to spend money (someone elses money that I was ready to be loose with). After 10 minutes goes by an usher comes up and asks us to move "For another party"...two guys show up and take our table that 4 of us were just sitting at. They are WAY Too high strung in this place. Strip Clubs are supposed to be fun. The two guys in our group that got lap dances said that the chicks barely came close to them. The women are beautiful sure, but it gets boring to see them come out dressed, dance (barely) for a few mins, go take their thing off in the corner and hang it on the coat rack....dance...back to the coat rack and gstring comes off...dance....every single one of them did the same thing. The fact is, these are some of the hottest girls I've seen at a strip club outside of Vegas, particularly on a weekday night. However... that's about where the positives stop. - $20 cover to get in on a Wednesday? HAHAHA - I got one $20 order of a funny money and a couple beers. Total tab of around $50. That of course resulted in them putting $200 worth of temporary holds on my card that I'm still waiting to clear a week later. Seriously... two separate $100 holds on the card. - 15% uptick on the funny money? Jesus Christ. - Although the girls were amazingly hot, they couldn't dance worth a damn. Very little movement and stared off into the distance. - I had seen it mentioned elsewhere that there was very little diversity amongst the dancers. I assumed it was just an angry ex-dancer... but she was right. We got there around 10.. and up until midnight, there was nothing but white dancers. Almost exactly at 12:01am, thankfully there was some variety (a couple latinas and a black girl) and with it finally came some good dancing. -Unfortunately, myself and a couple others had already used our lap dance funny money with girls from earlier in the evening... and what a waste that was. $20 for one song, half of which they spend still dressed. They hardly make contact with you and before the song completely ends they are trying to get you to pay $500+ to go upstairs. I was just recently at this club and had an amazing time. All of the staff were accommodating and welcoming, from the door to the stage. If you have some extra money to spend and need an escape this is the place. The woman were professional, classy, absolutely stunning and the atmosphere on a Friday afternoon was great. Friday night it's packed but equally enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a handful of drinks and enjoy the company of amazing ladies. I am a female and I recently went to this club with some of my guy friends and we all had a fabulous time! Obviously not a place to go if you dont want to spend money, but what else do you expect to do at a stripclub??? The staff was very professional and my waitress was all smiles. The wait staff, massage girls and dancers were all georgeous! My back massage was out of this world! This is a true gentlemans club, not seedy at all! Sloppy , sketchy club. I visited this place in 2013, did not like it at all, just giving two stars because of a pretty Afro American stripper, she was sexy like anything. Front security staff had very bad attitude , I paid $20 cover if I remember correctly , and got a seat in the corner. One of bouncer approached me and ask about my well being and then a waiters showed up and ask rudely if she grab something for me ? And that's it, I spent like 50 minute there but unfortunately none of those girls approached me. Finally when I started feeling half asleep I left this place and came back to my hotel. They had more gals than any average Canadian club but it's not worth trying. If you you have free time and you want to ruin your mood then you can give a go otherwise find something else. read more
