You'll never be billed." (He had to ask me three times why I was calling. Hoping to get ahead of the curve I wanted to share Dad's insurance information.) I just dropped a thank you card (+donation) in the mail. The EMTs arrived within minutes, our ride was smooth and the handoff to the ER effortless. My first time attending what seems to be an annual event in Lake Ronkonkoma. In doing a search to…read morefind out when this Labor Day street fair first began, I came across many other articles about other street fairs. It seems this area has street fairs a few times a year. According to the other YELP reviewer, I gather this one began in 2005? We followed suit with the other attendees and parked in the adjacent Kohl's parking lot. We walked a short distance through the lot to get to Hawkins Avenue. The street was filled with people! From families, couples and singles. Young and old! And lots of fur babies also. Vendors lined the street. Pretty typical of the types you see at these things. Food trucks, lots of jewelry, pet items, clothing, a bandshell with live music, bouncy houses for the kids. We walked up the street, stopped to listen to the band. Bought some raffles from a Veteran's group. On the way back down, we got two sausage and pepper heroes to take home. They were delicious!! I made a mental note to return to the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society that is located on Hawkins. This is one of many street fairs held across Long Island. I wouldn't mind making a return visit to this area at other times of the year.

I understand they were in a hurry and had to cross over the 2 lanes for a call, but i jammed on my brakes, and let them pass, so the profanity wasnt necessary.
