If you are passing through, I highly recommend this country cafe for lunch or dinner.
Home style cooking. The menu is mostly country grill. Burgers, fries, salads. They run various specials through the week. Other items found on the menu are meatloaf, chicken and noodles, and grilled chicken. They also serve a good breakfast. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything has always been hot and filling. Be prepared to eat, because the portions are generous.
There isn't a ton of seating, and if you are there on a Sunday you may have to wait a bit for service. Other than that, you can get in and out pretty quickly.
Make sure that you save room for some banana cream pie and coffee!
The restaurant is connected to the convenience store so plan on filling up on gas and groceries while you are there.
Also worth noting that they do sell beer in the convenience store and it is the only location in the immediate area that does so.
The whole place shuts down a little early for a convenience store. I think they close up shop around nine, especially on the weekends. read more
