The doctor kept pushing for me to consider plastic surgery to lift my eye lids even though I was there for an eye exam related to another medical condition. The whole appointment felt rushed when I was not left sitting in the waiting room or the exam room. read more

Long wait in exam room. Rushed exam. Fully dilated after I was told I would probably not be dilated and did not have ride home arrangements (driving while dilated is NOT a good idea). Last appointment they called day before to confirm appointment, and I realized I had a last-minute conflict so I told the scheduler to cancel the appointment (did NOT confirm). Was charged no show fee anyway. Called, had the no show waived, two weeks later get a overfue bill for same no show fee. Called, second time seems to have worked maybe because I asked for names and confirmation in writing (email). Too much hassle. Finding another clinic. read more

Dr. Falls rushes through the eye exam and makes errors. Glasses and contact lenses then reflect even more errors. This office does not care about the patients. I have never had so many mistakes made with an optometrist in my entire life. They have still not corrected their mistakes or refunded my money. Wish I would have read these reviews first. Do not waste your time or money at the Pace office. read more

This place will nickel and dime you like there is no tomorrow. Never been to an eye doctor/office that I had to pay 3 different times in the same day for three different things. And still got a bill. Easy to get appointment. Thorough eye exam as compared to a place like My Eye Lab or similar. Large selection of glasses too

There are serious issues with the treatment I rec'd at Center for Sight. At this point, after in-depth research, I can not recommend them. I had a chronic retinal detachment that (supposedly) required multiple surgeries, Dr. Allison was very impatience and Dr. McKnight hurriedly removed a cataract during my failed 3rd surgery, never heard from Dr. McKnight again, as my post-op appt for the cataract surgery was cancelled. I've basically lost all functional vision in my right eye due to excessive distortion, double-vision, blurred-vision, etc. - my vision in my right eye is far worse than it was before. Furthermore, after JOKING about the failed results of the THIRD surgery, one of Dr. Allison's last comments to me was, casually - "NOT MY BEST WORK." :-/   Now, I am repeatedly receiving "PARTY" invitations from Center for Sight for BOTOX injections. From my experience, the staff at Center for Sight are capable, but it's apparent that their priority is NOT providing the best healthcare possible, it's all about making money - and now my right eye is useless. :-( Finally, Center for Sight operated on my right eye FOUR times, which included general anesthesia - NOT ONCE did Center for Site contact, or request information from, my primary physician to determine my suitability for the surgeries. read more

Do NOT go to Dr. Harbour for cataract surgery, my experience this morning was not good. was in the OR, this doctor does not give ANY sedation until AFTER the procedure! what sense does that make! lol even the nurses said, no other Doctor does this!!!! Only HIM. I have back and neck pain, so I couldn't get comfortable hanging off the table the way they position you. He walked in and said he wish he would have known prior (Really??? so he doesn't read your chart?) that the surgery center lost about $400. for having to cancel. what about MY time and pain.. and my drivers time and loss of wages! If I would have known. I sure would not have scheduled with him! He is fired by me! read more

Pretty much the same complaint as everyone else about horrid appointment time management, but needs to be said so potential customers know that absolutely nothing has changed. Expect to be waiting for HOURS unless you are the absolute first appointment of the day. Even then expect some tardiness. Nothing but lame excuses when you ask what is going on. This is common elective stuff for the majority of appointments, NOT emergency situations so I don't understand how the schedule can become so delayed. These guys need reminders or alarms on their phones, smart watches or something. Just saying........... #customerservicesucks #notmyeyes read more

I am now legally blind in my right eye thanks to the substandard care I received from Dr. Sean Allison and Dr. G. Tipton McKnight at EYESOUTH PARTNER Center For Sight in Pensacola Florida. After in-depth research, it is now apparent that Dr. Sean Allison and Dr. G. Tipton McKnight at EYESOUTH PARTNER Center For Sight in Pensacola Florida placed PROFIT OVER PATIENT CARE by recommending an unnecessary combination surgery, which substantially multiplied my risks of another retinal detached, which unfortunately did occur. I had a chronic/complex retinal detachment that (supposedly) required multiple surgeries, Dr. Allison was very impatience and Dr. McKnight hurriedly removed a cataract during my failed 3rd surgery, never heard from Dr. McKnight again, as my post-op appt for the cataract surgery was cancelled. I'm now legally blind in my right eye, I've lost all functional vision in my right eye due to excessive distortion, double-vision, blurred-vision, etc.. Furthermore, after JOKING about the failed results of the THIRD combination-surgery, one of Dr. Allison's last comments to me was, casually - "NOT MY BEST WORK." :-/ Now, I am repeatedly receiving email spam from EYESOUTH PARTNER Center for Sight in Pensacola Florida for cosmetic BOTOX injections, etc. If you are a direct payer, DO NOT go in debt and let them operate on your eye if your vision is good as mine was; both Dr. Sean Allison and Dr. G. Tipton McKnight at EYESOUTH PARTNER Center For Sight in Pensacola Florida repeatedly "sold" the procedure they recommended, saying they were going to "save me money" - and as required by law, they DID NOT have my "informed consent" because they NEVER advised me of the risk associated with the combination surgery and they NEVER advised my of a safer alternative, less risky to wait until I actually needed the cataract surgery. From my experience, the staff at Center for Sight are capable, but it's apparent that their priority is NOT providing the best healthcare possible, it's all about making money - and now my right eye is useless. :-( read more

Dr. Harbour and his staff have been absolutely wonderful to us during my husband's time of needing a Very Professional & Caring Ophthalmologist, including finding us a surgeon who could perform almost immediately a biopsy needed to determine if my husband had the rare eye problem he suspected. I had an emergency and the center for sight lost my referral not once but 6 times. I spent a month and half trying to get an appointment

The Customer Service is shockingly disturbing!! Words can't explain how rude their patient scheduler is her name is Mrs.Christy not sure how it's spelled. But this lady was absolutely distasteful! I asked her for price ranges because I would be paying out of pocket and just would like some estimates. She yelled at me and said no I've been doing this 30 years I don't give prices over the phone. What she didn't know is I knew she was lying because several people have gotten quoted over the phone from this office. When I proceeded to tell her this she talked over me and then turned on MUSIC in my ear. She didn't even ask me to hold. She got back on the call laughing as if this was giving her satisfaction but being rude. It was very odd because she is running off a customer. I wouldn't send a dog to this clinic after her service. When she returned on the call she said oh I'll let a manager call you and hung up. I couldn't even get 2 words out my mouth I am SHOCKED!!!!! I am canceling this appointment. I tried to call back to cancel with her but she sent me to her voicemail. Which is not surprising at all. So I will be canceling through a manager. read more

called for an appointment. I do not have vision coverage with my insurance, so I asked for a quote. they insisted on trying to run the bill through my medical insurance. when the dust settled, and I got my final statement from center for sight, the total was 2x what I was quoted on the phone at the time of my appointment. If you are paying for your own serivce, I would suggest getting the quote in writing prior to arriving for your appointment. the billing staff is rude, and just blames the discrepancy on the receptionists. read more

I had been given a referral by West Florida Hospital to get an appointment at the Center for Sight for a follow up to an eye injury. My experience on the telephone was negative. This is the message I sent to West Florida Hospital to try to get things resolved: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I saw Dr. Ryan Aycock in the ER on 27 Nov 2019 for a subconjunctival hemmorrhage and scleral abrasion to my left eye. (MR# H000719101 account# H00132780671) The treatment was superb by the doctor and staff. He referred me to the Center for Sight for a follow up within 5 days. I just called them to make an appointment and it went like this: I told the lady on the phone that I had been referred by West FL Hospital for an eye injury and that I wanted to make an appointment. The lady said they don't take referrals from West FL and further that they had no obligation to when I pressed her. I told her that I had insurance and plenty of cash and that if I walked in or called back and didn't mention I was a West FL referral could I then get an appointment. She said "No, you already mentioned you are a West FL referral." I told her that business must be pretty good to turn away cash paying customers. She stated again that they would not see me but that I might call back Monday to talk to her supervisor. I asked her that if I was an indigent illegal alien would they see me. She told me to have a nice day and they hung up her telephone. She maintained a polite tone but there was a real undercurrent of disdain with regards to anything "West Florida Hospital". The whole encounter appalled me. I hope that you guys can resolve their attitudinal dislike for your fine hospital and their shunning of patients in need of help. In the meantime I'll try to get a follow-up with my primary care doctor at the Naval Hospital or just have my wife (a retired CNA) or my neighbor (an 81 year old PA) look at my eye on Tuesday. If convenient for you and possible I would appreciate a follow up contact from you via email to see how this shakes out. Thank you - Dale Flowers read more

The surgery performed by Dr. Harbour was wonderful however the patient treatment is abhorrent. They schedule you into the office 15 minutes before the doors open so they don't have to "wait" on you but you are left waiting 30 to 45 minutes for the staff member to arrive after the doors open. At another follow up appointment we were scheduled at 1:20 pm and at 2:40 the doctor still hadn't arrived and had called to say it would be another 15 minutes or so before he arrived. Per the other patients waiting this is normal behavior. It's disrespectful and rude. read more

Great experience. Detached retina surgery with Dr Allison. Wow! 23 minutes start to finish. He explained everything even as he was doing the surgery. He's the go to guy! Additionally his staff was courteous and treated me well. No questions went unanswered. I highly recommend Center for sight for all eye care issues. read more

When I set up my appointment, I was told all I had to pay was a $15 copay. It took 45 mins past my scheduled time for them to see me. When checking out, I find out there's a $60+ "fitting charge" for contacts. I don't know when the fitting took place, but I wasn't present for that. Also, the doctor wasn't even the one to do the exam. When I told the women at the desk I was told all I was responsible for was $15, they said "Oh you're not the first person today, to be given bad information. Someone should say something to the receptionist." Maybe it's just me, but I shouldn't have to spend an extra $60 for a fitting, when my previous exams have only cost $90, without insurance. Downside, they don't care, and there's really no legal recourse. I'd highly suggest going someplace else. I will be going back to Eyeglass World, for all future visits. read more

I decided to come here because my last 2 attempts to get fitted for contacts were complete failures. After speaking to someone about my situation, they recommended Center for Sight. I did read the previous reviews prior to setting up my appointment, so I was ready for a possible long wait. My appointment was this past Saturday. They were staffed with 1 physician and 1 assistant. I filled out my paper work at home [the paperwork is printable on their website. kudos!] in hopes that it may help with shortening the process time. I arrived about 10 minutes early. I sat and fell asleep in the waiting room for an hour before they called me. Tests, talking, & eye dilation took about 50 minutes to an hour before i left the center. The reason i am giving 4 stars: Yes, the wait was long, which is why i took away a star, but once i was actually seen, i felt well taken care of. They took their time to treat me one on one and explain things to me. She was very honest and was helpful in saving me as much money as i could. I think Center for Sight is definitely worth a try, BUT make sure you bring your patience and a good book or some tunes. As far as, my contacts are concerned, she had to special order my lens and i am currently waiting for a call back to schedule my fitting. i'll keep you posted...promise. =] read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars but you have to give at least 1. Very bad first impression! I was at this place for 2 hours and 15 minutes and never saw the doctor. Some assistant had me read letters on the wall and dilated my eyes and said the doctor will be in shortly. My exam room had another door in it where doctors would come in and excuse their self to pass through from time to time, kinda strange, as it appeared to be a huge storage room. After about an hour a doctor popped his head in and said I will see you in about 5 minutes, but an hour went by and he never returned, so I went up front to ask what's going on, but they didn't know anything. I waited 15 more minutes and left. I have never seen a place so unprofessional and would not trust them to be my eye doctor. read more

Pace, FL location - LONG wait every time I go there. Time to go elsewhere since wasting my time doesn't seem to matter to them. If I showed up late, they'd make me reschedule. Too bad I don't get my visit for free every time they maker me wait half an hour or longer!!! read more

The good Dr. George T McKnight of the Center for site here in Pensacola owns a house on 616 Ditmar Street, he doesn't live there mind you it's just a place where he keeps his boats. For reasons unknown he decided to paint a giant mural of an American flag down one whole side of the house, now I appreciate patriotism I do but I found it odd when I drove past number 20 Highpoint Rd. in Gulf breeze, were he actually lives I didn't see a giant American flag on that house and wondered why, maybe it's because your Gulf breeze neighbors would run your out of town on a rail for doing that. My neighborhood here on Ditmar It's just a working class neighborhood, I get it but who do you think is going to the Center for site? Working-class people like me. Try to be considerate of your neighbors no matter what neighborhood you're in. Good Dr. McKnight, he sleeps in Gulf breeze and craps in Pensacola. read more

I have received excellent care several times from Center For Sight. It is true that you might have to wait to see one of their excellent specialist. I have been told that they expedite patients who have serious conditions and take their time to properly evaluate the given case load at any given time. Shame on you Mary for complaining about doctors who give their utmost to treat a variety of conditions to the utmost of their abilities. Judging by the amount of people that these doctors see I would say they are doing something right. I would be more concerned if there was no wait and you could get right for a normal appointment which is a possible sign of bad care. Please exercise some patience!! You are not the only person who needs treatment. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nguyen and the staff at Center for Sight. My daughter was kicked in the eye by her brother and developed symptoms that made me think she might have an abrasion. This was on Saturday, 20 minutes before the office closed, mind you. The receptionist was very helpful and gave me the number for a pediatric eye doctor through Sacred Heart. I mentioned that I would prefer not to have to take her to the hospital right now due to Covid. She called back a few minutes later to let me know that Dr. Nguyen said he'd be able to get her in for an appointment right then. I got there just a couple of minutes before closing and everyone was so friendly, even though no one else was in the office and they were very clearly all waiting just for my daughter to be seen. Dr. Nguyen was wonderful and so patient with her. He normally does not see children under 10, but made the exception, because he had been worried for her. It was plain to see how much he cares about people and their wellbeing. I can't thank Dr. Nguyen and his team enough! read more

This place horrible. I went last year with the youngest doctor there and he prescribed me the wrong contacts, whatever, mistakes happen. I go again this year with a different doctor and to start off, he was so nervous. Then, he added some drops to my eyes and never told me he was going to poke them! I told him I didn't want to have that done and he said that now that he put the drops he had to do it because they won't get paid through the insurance if he doesn't finish the process. read more

Stay away - this place is horrible. Had my first appointment with Dr. Fletcher in July for a problem with chronic watering from my right eye. He explained the ducts appeared to be clogged that generate tears and to try warm compresses and Systane eye drops and to come back in September to follow up. Well, today was my appointment at the Davis Highway office. After waiting an hour for my name to be called to go back, I was pulled aside by the nurse telling me that the Doctor didn't want to see me because he had wanted me to have a visual acuity test prior to an appointment. I explained I was here for a follow up but no concern or care was expressed for that. Dr. Fletcher did not even have the courteous to see me for 5 minutes after I waiting for an hour for my appointment. Both he and the staff were so unprofessional and uncaring. I went downstairs and demanded my co-pay back. That will be the last time I will frequent this rude practice. read more

Sad attention to scheduled appointment times. Were told your seeing a specialist and expect to wait at least an hour.

Wish a no star option was available. This is by far the WORST medical office we've ever had to deal with. Appointment times are set by them and then promptly disregarded. Dr Harbour clearly feels timeliness is not required of him, so be prepared to sit there for hours waiting for him to deign visiting you. Even with the first appointment of the day, 8.00am, and there being no other patients there with us when we arrived, after 1 hour still no Dr Harbour despite his "I'll be 2 minutes" claim that 20 minutes later he still had not appeared. However he did find time to see two other patients during that time. If he has so little respect for other people's time why should patients respect him? Btw, this was a rescheduled appointment as we had waited over 90 minutes the prior week to see him without success. Bottom line if you are happy being treated with disdain and have a passion for waiting hours for no reason then this is your place. If not, go anywhere else where you will be respected. read more

I have been coming to the Center for Sight for the past 2 years and absolutely love the atmosphere. You walk in and right away the front desk greets you. (Normally you would have to wait for someone to slide a window open or come out of a room and just say "be with you in a minute!!" No Hi or No welcome. The complete process is amazing and faster than what and where I use to go....from the eye exam, getting fit for contacts, glasses, and the people inside the glasses store. Great customer services always wins my vote! (Which it's very RARE to find these days.) read more

This is a two way review: 1. I*m giving Dr. Mason who performed my Laser Surgery an excellent grade (5 Stars), he's very professional with a very good bedside manner. He completed the task in a timely fashion without any complications then explained to me the next procedure to follow, that his office will send a letter as a reminder for the next examination. 2. The one star is given to the specific procedures which I'm calling it a trickery, because I end up paying $35.00 for a procedures in which I was asked if I need a prescription for eye glasses, of course I said yes , especially if Medicare and Tri-Care for Life pays for it. The technician (Not an Optometry Doctor) performed the examination which involved reading letters of different sizes over and over again then afterwards, she gave me the prescription for a new eye glasses. I spoke to a lady in Center for Sight who's supposed to be the expert in billing insurance and she told me that Medicare and Tri Care for Life won't cover the procedure I was charged for; however my contention is the fact that I should have been seen by an Optometrist, especially I have a referral from the Navy Hospital to seek outside Optometrist, but instead "Center for Sight" allow a technician to examine me and issued eyeglasses prescription in which this specific procedure is of course not covered by my insurance and they know it at the beginning, but never informed me. I don't know, what you call this!!!! read more

Still following up with Dr. Harbour from cataract surgery. Every appointment is still a two hour or longer wait. Decent surgeon and a good bedside manner, but horrible scheduling.
