had a referral under one health plan, new year, new health plan. BOTH health plans would cover my appointment, per the health insurance company. they refused to accept the insurance, that insurance companies say they accept. I have filed a complaint with my health insurance companies. staff was extremely rude, and condensing. would not suggest using them. Added, since I can not reply to their comment. The Center for Men's and Women's Urology per the insurance company yall take the insurance. And per the insurance company either insurance would pay for 6 months of visits. My initial setup appointment was a great call. From there, the staff were the ones who were completely inappropriate and rude. I have never stepped foot in your clinic, and only have how y'all act over the phone to go by. But, when I called my insurance company multiple times, and got the information from them, that your clinic takes the insurance, per your clinics request... And your clinic still says no, makes one wonder what is going on. I still filed the report, and still stand by my comment that no one should go to your clinic. read more

My experience with the front office staff was excellent. The doctor's assistant was also very knowledgeable and compassionate, so my expectations were high when Dr. V. Sunderam came in the exam room. Sadly, the exam lasted only about one minute, and the doctor did not communicate much other than take 2 ibuprofen and call me in 3 months. My major issue was not really addressed. Dr. Melanie Crites-Brachert Is phenomenal. She's up-to-date with the newest technology in diagnosing and treatment. The Oregon Clinic is overall outstanding in patient care and services. I would highly recommend Dr. Crites Bachart for any urological needs. She was sensitive and compassionate about my issue and needs. I got a referral to this clinic. I called to make an appointment. She asked the reason, I told her I had been told I MIGHT have cystitis but there's something wrong and I need it checked that it might be my bladder sling. She said they don't treat cystitis. I said fine but I need to be examined because I don't believe I have cystitis. They wouldn't even do an exam. So I was referred to OHSU and I have an infected bladder sling. I'm scheduled for surgery next week. I'm greatly disappointed at the dismissal of my condition. The receptionist talked to Crites twice to make sure they wouldn't see me and she made it clear I was not welcome in her clinic. read more

The woman doctor always seemed super busy and rushed when i visited that ended up me having unpleasant experiences every week i had to go in. I literally dreaded coming back to have iodine or some sort of liquid to be put inside my bladder through a tube and she'd without ease just put it up too fast sometimes that it hurt. I stopped going because i felt like i was wasting my money there and wasn't helping my health problem. The only thing that's helped is the supplements they recommended to take daily. read more

I came here for answers about an issue I was having that was recurring and after leaving the Oregon Clinic with more questions than answers, I was referred here by my provider. I was here before for a similar issue and I left the Center for Men's & Woman's Urology satisfied that I knew what was going on and how to treat my issue. This will be my second visit to The Center For Men's & Women's Urology. Before I retired, I worked for hospitals, clinics & private practice physicians so I'm well aware how medical practices should be run. Although I have only seen Dr Melanie Crites-Bachert DO, I would rate this clinic tops. She is smart, prompt, quick, personable & to-the-point. The office staff appears very efficient, not being overly chatty with each other instead of helping patients. Brianna, MA was great, I complimented her on how well & simply she explained each part of the prep. I will highly recommend this clinic to everyone I meet. (My only suggestion would be to please remember to check the chart before you call your patients in. Some of us prefer a nickname.) read more

I have a very complex medical history and Dr Melanie Crites has been my urologist for about ten years. She is not only competent and professional, but she genuinely cares about her patients - and that includes me. She has had to do emergency and planned surgeries, work with me for bi-annual procedures, and when my body was fighting itself. On more than one occasion she has moved things on her schedule to see me that day. Further, both her and Dr Rockove worked together in two emergency surgeries that were complex. I have been more than satisfied with the work she has done, her staff's responses to questions and peeping me for various procedures, and ability to make awkward situations bearable. Dr Crites really makes time to listen and get to know more about you than just the immediate issue as she has a holistic view of her work and how things outside of the specific issue can impact the emotional health as well. Received new patient paperwork through the mail with appointment time listed. Professional staff, easy check in, wait time was maybe 15minutes which is rather quick for a new patient. Medical assistant was efficient and precise with vital signs. They use an electric pulse monitor while taking blood pressure. She made sure to elevate my arm to heart level for accurate reading. Met with Dr. Gillepsie who is very informative, sequential, and explains the procedure thoroughly. read more

I had an apt. scheduled with Dr. Crites about having a bladder biopsy. (It was very important to me that I see a female doctor and female urologists are a scarce resource.) When I arrived I was casually informed that she was not in. I was not told that I had mixed up the date or time nor did anyone seem at all puzzled, surprised or concerned. I was stunned by the lack of response from front desk staff!! I wondered if perhaps this was a common occurence. Finally, someone offered for me to meet with one of the male doctors who was available. I did meet briefly with a very pleasant male doctor who offered to examine me, but I was not comfortable with that option. I left, never having heard an apology from anyone at that clinic other than the male urologist with whom I met. I would have thought there might have been a followup call for customer service sake at least. Needless to say, from my experience, I would not return to this clinic. read more

I had been a patient for a couple of years. She was about an hour away from me but my primary care doctor recommended her. She was nice enough although she was always too busy and didn't listen. Her office staff was/is a nightmare and on the incident which prompted me to leave was a medical complication caused by sloppy and unsterile technique from one of their medical assistants. read more

I've always had a superb experience with this office. The reception staff is warm and friendly and always greets me with a smile. The wait time is usually just a few minutes and I feel like the doctors really take the time to listen to the issues and not rush. Dr. Rockove and Dr. Crites are both excellent medical providers, very professional and caring. I would highly recommend this office to anyone! read more

This was the worst Dr visit I have ever had..... very intrusive, no regard for patient dignity, improper use of gloves (not wearing them) ... having an audience while in a PAP position, never have I had an audience, there has only been a DR or an RN in that area. ... felt like a test subject, tried to resolve my challenges the next day with the office manager and she was very defensive and only said that they were not a good fit for me, not willing to admit or acknowledge inappropriate practices... only good point that one of the Dr.'s did call to hear about my challenges at his office, not sure if any thing got resolved. I would not recommend this office at all. Very unprofessional and unsanitary in their practices.... My hope is that NO WOMAN should ever be asked to get her feet in stirrups and be in that position to wait for the Dr to come in.... no one should have to wait like that. I did not, but I wonder how many women do? ... not right ... i am hoping that the Dr has implemented some policy changes read more

If you value your time and wish to have your appointment honored, I recommend finding a different urology clinic. After having my surgery scheduled for well over a month, they called two days before in an attempt to push me out another month because of a scheduling mishap. The office personnel were extremely unprofessional and not willing to schedule me with a different specialist, even though I explained to them that I'm a private contractor and have already scheduled days with no work in order to recover from my surgery, and on such short notice I have no way of filling those days, not to mention the fact that I will have to schedule more time off for a future appointment. This clinic does not value your time, and has cost me 3days wages with no return. I have requested a referral elsewhere, and you should too. read more
