This review is long overdue. I ended up at Fresno Endodontic Group at the end of 2023, one year after a dentist forced me to have an old, deep silver filling replaced. One year after that procedure, my molar died during the holiday season of 2023. I was referred to VJ by my current dentist and I am so glad I ended up there. VJ is incredibly fastidious and meticulous. He takes ample time with you before the procedure to ensure you are comfortable with him and his expertise. He makes you feel like you are a family member or close friend he cares about. His entire methodology is based of excellence and you can tell that is what he strives for. I suffer from debilitating TMD and was concerned my jaw wouldn't allow for his tools to reach the infected tooth and that my jaw wouldn't hold up for the duration of the procedure. VJ put my concerns to rest and was extremely encouraging throughout the procedure. He reassured me my mouth was opened enough and that he had plenty of space to get his tools in where he needed them to be. After the procedure, he sat and spoke with me for a while. He wanted to make sure I was doing okay and took his time post-procedure. He really made a procedure no one ever wants done a very simple and pain free experience. I've since recommended VJ to others in need and I will continue to do so. read more

BEWARE DOUBLE BILLING WITH NO REMORSE: I went in for a checkup. They told me ahead of time that it would cost around $110. When I arrived they changed their story and said that my insurance would not cover the full visit and demanded I pay and ADDITIONAL $125! I paid the remainder in CASH. BIG MISTAKE! They then proceeded to send a DEBT COLLECTOR to collect and ADDITIONAL FEE WITH INTEREST!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! I called them on the phone and they want me to find some record of this transaction from over a year ago knowing full well that they are trying to rob me! DESPICABLE THIEVES!! Someone or all of them are in on it. They POCKET YOUR CASH AND THEN SEND A DEBT COLLECTOR TWO YEARS LATER TO COLLECT ON WHAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR WITH INTEREST!!! read more

I arrived on time for my new patient appt., was given paperwork to fill out and then never heard from staff again. After 1 hour in the waiting room I asked to reschedule. The receptionist stated, it would not help - quote - "It is like this everyday. We are emergency based." I told her I had no emergency, no pain and was happy to reschedule. She would not let me and insisted I go back to an exam room. I am not sure what the receptionist told the doctor but when he came into the exam room he introduced himself, noticed my uniform and asked where I worked. I told him I work at a surgical hospital and his response, in a very irritated and condescending tone was "do you run on time every day?" Clearly a confrontational question. I let him know I had not been upset over waiting an hour, I did not complain, I just asked to reschedule. He then proceeded to tell me he did not appreciate me talking/complaining to other patients in the waiting room - which I had not done. He was not there. He was obviously angry and I felt he wanted to put me in my place. Very unprofessional. The doctor was rude and angry - not ideal qualities in a care provider. After being accused of complaining to other patients in the waiting room, I got up from the exam chair and walked out. His office should try the AIDET model of customer service where you actually inform your patients that you are running behind and provide an estimated time as well as an option to reschedule before waiting an hour in a waiting room. While I work in a hospital and we do often run behind, we keep our patients informed by providing a realistic expectation and an option to reschedule if needed. I have been an RN for 40 years and have never walked out on a provider. I have dealt with many angry doctors in my career but not as a patient. This was a horrible experience. read more

I am giving this place a one star not due to the care, but for the billing. My root canal was fine, no complaints. However, the billing was ridiculous. My dentist referred me here, I spoke the the billing receptionist in depth about the billing and how i would be charged, which was great. However, after my insurance was billed they then stated that they no longer are in the network for Guardian and I owe $100. Never once was that stated before the procedure. I called my dentist and they said they were sorry and they are not referring to this place anymore due to this happening to another patient. So, not I or my dentist was informed of then not being in network for my insurance. I personally feel like it was an unethical way to get more money out of their patients. read more

Had a wonderful experience with my consultation through my treatment. Ashley at the front desk is very pleasant. VJ and his chairsides were so comforting and knowledgeable. No one wants to have a root canal, but if you find yourself in that predicament I highly recommend this business and Dr Danielson. The office is welcoming with a sense of calm. All the staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. I had a consult at another endodontics office before this one and what a difference. Dr Danielson was personable, caring, and took the time to explain everything that would be taking place. He promised no pain and he delivered! He and his assistant made conversation, funny stories, human interest news etc to help keep my mind on something other than the the dental procedure. read more

Severe anxiety for dental work other than a cleaning here! Found out I had to have a 15 year old root canal redone due to bad work the first time. Needless to say, the anxiety hit. I was referred to the Center for Endodontics, Dr. VJ Mirzayan. I can't even express my gratitude, thanks and extreme appreciation for this wonderful place and it's staff. State of the art equipment, excellent "bedside manner" by the well tenured staff and an experience that was painless. If you need endodontic work, THIS is the place to go in Fresno. I took my son (14 yrs. old) to have a root canal caused by a wrestling injury. The appointment was at 10:45a and we were in the back with the doctor within 10 minutes of our arrival. I cannot express how wonderful Dr. VJ was, not only with my son, but easing my nerves as well. He talked to my son about things that truly interest a 14 year old boy, sports, athletes, school, communication, fears, college and the future! He truly left an impression on him!!! When it was time for the procedure Dr. VJ walked my son through the entire process with a meditative voice. My son didn't even feel a thing! There were so many layers to this visit I can't even begin to explain, it was just a fantastic appointment. First off I was rescheduled multiple times. Today I arrived at the one appointment I was able to get and keep finally(by the way I live over an hour away) only to be told that basically I could not proceed because 1) I didn't have a face mask and 2) my son couldn't be with me. It's not that they had restrictions that upset me because I completely understand what's going on and respect it, but what was frustrating was I never once was told any of this information prior to my appointment. Trust me I am completely and fully aware of the pandemic going on, I work in the medical field, but every place has different restrictions and these changes are also slowly starting to lift. I assumed that since I wasn't told any special directions I could go as if the world was normal. It is 100% the responsibility of the employees of the practice to notify clients of these changes. As a result of non existent communication I have now wasted my time and ultimately money. I am truly disappointed because one simple error on their part changed the entire outcome of this situation. They have definitely improved their scheduling methods. They now tell you to call prior to your appointment to confirm they are running on time, and warn you of common delays up front. That is all a patient can ask for. The service and care are top notch. read more

This place is the most unprofessional place and I would never recommend, I went in for my consultation and was told by Anette that all I would have to pay was $100.00 for a X-ray my insurance didn't cover, they split the payment up to two sections for me since i had literally just had my baby a few weeks before and didn't have the money. Well a month later I get a receipt in the mail saying I owe $125! Well i called and when I asked to speak with someone about my bill Rosie gave me the phone to another place when I tried calling the phone would just hang up and I told her I was literally just there she ended up finding me and told me my insurance haven't paid for the consult but there was still a balance and then they would bill me I told her that when I went to my consult I verified with anette that all i had to pay was for the x Ray because AGAIN I just had a baby, she gave anette the phone was told me I had to wait for the insurance payment I told her that's fine but I would not be paying anything out of pocket because I tripled check with her about the bill she then got rude and said "kezia just wait and if you don't want to your going to collections" I told her she didn't have to try and scare me because I shouldn't owe this balance when SHE verified with me she then kept saying my name wrong and when I corrected her she hung up on me! I called again asking to speak to a manager and she hung up on me again ! I called a third time and they didn't answer. So when i called AGAIN i said either I speak to a a manger or go to the office i got hung up again ! So again I called because my credit is up in the air so Rosie answered and told me that the manager is not in but she will put a note on the managers desk to call me back. I had a root canal last week on the basis of short term urgency, and it was an amazingly positive experience. From the front office team of Debbie, Annette and Rosie, to the actual team that worked on me, it could not have gone any better. Elizabeth was the lead assistant, with help from others including Rosie. Their teamwork with Dr. V.J. was something I had not experienced in any dental setting, as they did not waste any time, operating with precise efficiency and fluid team interaction. Dr./Professor/Coach V.J. is a thorough professional, with a curious and caring approach about me as a patient. He is top-shelf. This place is the best! I was scheduled to go to another Endodontist buy my pain was so severe they wouldn't move my appointment sooner than 20 days out. I couldn't wait so my dentist called this place and they got me in the same day. They did a root canal so fast knowing I was in so much pain. Like most people, when I found out that I needed a root canal I was less than enthusiastic and a little anxious. But Dr. Mirzayan's office was extremely nice, very helpful, and even got me in the same day. I was pretty nervous but when Dr. Mirzayan came into the room he immediately shook my hand, introduced himself as VJ, and was very nice. After a little anesthetic the root canal was painless and I was in and out pretty quickly. They even called me back a few days later just to follow up and make sure that everything was good! Wish there was a 10 star rating available. Dr. VJ Mirzayan has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met in my 30 year nursing career. I would go to him for anything! I would send my children to him. He focuses on the patient like a laser beam. He does meticulous work. He is calm and reassuring. With both surgeries I have felt that I was in very good hands. After the local anesthetic, I felt no pain. I recently held him up as an example of comforting presence during a training of local hospice nurses preparing for their national certification exam. His staff is seasoned, kind, and compassionate. They will snuggle you up with a warm blanket for your procedure. read more

I really can't say enough good things about this place!!! Getting a root canal is never a fun thing but the Dr.'s and staff here make you feel very comfortable. The people here at Dr. Mirzayan's office are very nice and calming....I was full of anxiety and they all calmed me. It really was pretty easy....knowing I have such an awesome Dr. who talked to me like a therapist....He spent 20 min. talking to me to calm me and get my breathing good. Was referred by my regular dentist and they saw me that day to check on a possible abscess. The consult was quick and painless. I ended up needing a root canal which they scheduled quickly, allowing a few days for prescribed antibiotics to reduce the infection and swelling. I had that procedure done today and there was very little pain or discomfort. Dr. Mirzayan was friendly, professional and worked quickly. The staff were pleasant on both visits and the procedures, costs and insurance handling were explained clearly. While I would have rather not had to have the procedure, I'm happy to have had it done here. read more

I went here for a very painful toothache. They were able to evaluate me and give me treatment the same day. I am really anxious about being at the dentist and getting any kind of dental procedure. The staff and Dr. Mirzayan were so patient, understanding and sensitive. They encouraged me to ask questions and let them know at anytime if I had discomfort. So to start this review, I have had a horrible experience with a past dentist who has done my root canals. The previous dentist I had did 2 different ones that were not even necessary and put me into a lot of pain and was not compassionate about my feelings towards it all. When I was coming to the center of Endodontics I was terrified to get another root canal, but Dr.V. Mirzayan did me wonders. I was left speechless after leaving their office. The front desk ladies were very nice and so were the rest of their staff. Dr. Mirzayan was so compassionate towards everything he did. I was almost falling asleep because of how great he did and how much I trusted him. He let me know the process through it all and helped me face a lot of my fears that I didn't know I had. He's one of the best and I 100% recommend having him do your next root canals..he definitely changed my mind about a lot of things within the dental field. Came here for a major molar root canal. Had a hole in the tooth that was slowly getting worse for years. During the consultation Dr. VJ made me feel comfortable with him and his staff. I learned he has been doing root canals in Fresno for 18 years. I am pregnant and was concerned about the procedure, he reassured me that he has done this many times. We rescheduled my appt due to some scheduling issues and he came in on his off day to see me for my new appt. The procedure took a couple hours, but I was comfortable the whole time. He was concerned with my wellbeing and my understanding of what exactly he did and was doing which I upmost appreciated. I was even able to fall asleep while he was working on my root canal! I have gotten plenty of dental work done in my life, and never have I been so comfortable with a major procedure. He even set another cap I had that had come off for me. Truly amazing endodontist! I absolutely loved this office. They were very accommodating and all of the dentists were extremely polite and informative. I originally went into the office for a root canal, but found out I had other issues. I thought I was going in for an initial evaluation for my root canal and was pleasantly surprised to find them ready to ease my pain right away. When I came back for the second appointment I was initially a little annoyed because I had to wait a little while. It became very clear why I had to wait when I went back to be treated. Dr. Mirzayan was extremely polite and welcoming. He took all of the time required to insure I understood what I was about to go through and was very good about making me comfortable. He explained each step with great detail, and he even gave me his direct number and said he was available 24 hours a day in case I had any discomfort or questions. I cannot say enough about this place and I wish I had all of the money required to get all of the work done that I need. You can bet that I will return for any specialty endodontic requirements in the past. read more
