First, I didn't even go through the front door. Speaking to the people who answered the phone provided me all the information I need to not go here. I called to make an appointment after being referred by my dentist. Yes, I will be speaking to my dentist about this office. And the person wanted to schedule me for a root canal. Before being seen, evaluated, examined - she wanted to schedule me for a root canal. After explaining I wanted a consultation first to determine what the issue was, she sounded flustered and angry. I made my appointment and was told I would be called the day before to receive out-of-pocket estimates. I called two days before and a different person answered. When I asked for my cost estimate she said they were short staffed and wouldn't be able to provide me an estimate until after speaking to the insurance company which may not be until the day I'm seen. I tried to sound pleasant and asked if she could give me an educated guess and she said $90 to be seen but that doesn't include any images or any other types of tests they might have to do to determine the cause of my tooth sensitivity. After reading the previous reviews, I'm hoping to find another endodontist since I still have the issue with my tooth. read more

Zero Stars! Absolute worst experience ever. I came here as a referral in 2024 because I had a toothache on a previous root canal tooth (tooth #30). Dr. Jensen came in after my 3-D scan. He didn't show me the scan at all. It was behind me on a screen while I was in the seat, he never showed me my supposed infection, but walked over to me and said, "I hear you've had a problem tooth. Let's just get rid of it let's yank it out." Let me say, I have never had issues with my teeth. This is the only problem tooth I've ever had in my life and I don't know why, but his response instantly made me well up and I got emotional and choked up and didn't even know what to say. But I managed to say, "can't we save it?" He then changed his whole persona and was like "oh yeah of course, I LOVE to save teeth. We may be able to do a root canal but if we get in there and it's fractured, then we'll end up having to pull another day, so you may end up getting the root canal for nothing." They ended up scheduling me and quoting me for a root canal! (Keep reading to learn I didn't even need that.) I went to the front desk and asked them. "Can I see my scan?" I was too emotional to ask at the time in the room because I couldn't even believe what I was hearing, his bedside manner was awful. I paid $120+ for my scans, can't I at least see what it is?! The receptionist said you'll have to wait because the dentist is with other clients now, and you might have to wait a few hours or come back and I'm like, "You can't seriously just show me the scans that I paid for I JUST left the room. I didn't even get shown anything as far as an infection. How do I even know that there's an infection I would like to know what is going on." Nope, no help whatsoever. I left and never came back. I went to Dr Jett at Advanced Perio Endo. He showed me my scan, all angles, sides, top, and said there's a fracture! No need to mess around with another root canal, you'll need an extraction and implant. Needless to say, I felt completely reassured and knew exactly what they were showing me. This is how it should be! NEVER WILL I RETURN OR RECOMMEND FRESNO ENDO GROUP! They just want to $ for unnecessary procedures. Dr Jensen needs to take a deep breath and feel more empathy towards the person in the chair. read more

They were really friendly here and was able to take me the same day. However, I got four different updates with four different prices within 2 hours. Each time there was an update the price kept increasing and the ladies said it was due to my insurance..... I'll have to call my insurance to see what is going on and to make sure the office didn't mix my coverage with someone else's service... the doctor was straightforward and got down to business. Let me know what he was going to do and what the outcome may be and what the chances that the dental work would be successful or not. But definitely gave me options and what the next plan was if the first plan didn't work out. read more

BEWARE... watch your billing! Before even being seen I was asked to pay $90 for a CT scan. When I asked why they don't bill my insurance first they said because most insurances don't pay for that. After calling my insurance they said they do pay for that and that the dentist did not use the correct billing code. I called Dr. Royle's office and asked the billing department to send in the specific code that Delta dental gave to me which would have paid them and then I should have been reimbursed my $90. It is now eight months later and I got a bill that said was going to collections for $51 that was a miscellaneous charge. I just called to ask about it and they said Delta dental paid first but then sent another letter asking for $51 back so they just decided to tack that charge onto me. I reminded her that they had charged me $90 cash at the beginning for something that my insurance would have paid them for. She said there's no right and there's no wrong we bill the code we know and if it's not the code Delta dental wants then that's not our fault but we will just call it even. So they ended up taking off the $51 charge and I think they were definitely trying to weasel another $51 out of me when they had already squeaked out $90 cash before the doctor ever even saw me. I think they are very shady and the billing department is trained well and they have just the right people in there because they're attitudes are rough and abrupt as to try to shut you down and make you back off of any argument. But I do need to give them some grace for finally doing the right thing, although they did try to slip that by me and then it just makes me curious how many other people they do that too. It's too bad because I really did like Dr. Royle even though he really didn't have to treat me it was not an issue that was within their realm. read more

I was referred here by my general dentist for a probable root canal. They were able to get me in reasonably quick considering I was in extensive pain. I arrived early to fill out paperwork. Note: my first trip the weather was miserable so I left my service dog at home. The second appointment she came with me and we had no problems. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Dr. Henderson was even kind enough to walk her to the hallway during an xray. This was above and beyond what I was expecting. I did end up needing a root canal and they were dubious about their ability to save the tooth because of where the cavity was. I wanted to try and save it though. They were able to get me in the next morning, so we got it done. I have an allergy to Lidocain and they were very understanding. They numbed me up very well. Dr. Henderson was very skilled, I felt nothing!! I was quite surprised. I hate needles so this was great! The procedure went just as they predicted. I was a bit sore afterwards, but they warned me I would because of the filling they did below the gum line. A few ibuprofen eventually did the trick. It's been a week now, and looking back I am very pleased with my experience at this office. Everyone was kind and genuine. It really made me feel at ease and comfortable. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Henderson! I was referred by my general dentist for a root canal and I was truly terrified. I had heard from so many people how awful a root canal is and that I should just pull the tooth. When I saw Dr. Henderson, he knew how anxious I was and he was so understanding and took so much time to go over the options with me. I wanted to save the tooth but I was so scared of the possible pain. He and his staff were incredibly kind and professional. He went over every step beforehand, and kept checking on me during the procedure. Honestly, there was actually no pain during the procedure at all. I've referred patients to just about every specialist in this town. The one office I consistently go back to is the Fresno Endodontic Group. Their service and quality is a cut above other offices. They utilize the latest technology to better diagnose your tooth and also to better treat your tooth. I have never heard a single complaint about this office and if I personally needed a root canal, I am going to this office 100%. If you're looking for high quality work done quickly and comfortably, this is the place for you. They may be out of your network and it may cost you a little bit extra, but trust me... you don't want to deal with a failed root canal or complications from this procedure. You will have wished you spent the extra money and gone to to Dr. Jensen or Dr. Royle (and Dr. Logan). Trying to save a few bucks on a root canal is definitely not a good idea, take it from someone (me) who deals with this stuff on a daily basis. 5 out of 5 stars hands down! read more

I'm going to start this review with the start the standard "I dreaded this visit" obviously or I wouldn't have gotten to this stage, right? Dr. Royle started off with explain Eberhard he was going to do at every step of the way and eased my anxiety level immediately. He was professional and courteous, he reminded me that I was not the only one in my situation and he seen "much worse", which I can't imagine, but thanked him for that. My several root canals were painless and quick, which was astonishing considering my issues. The before and after xrays were testaments to his knowledge, skills and abilities and in short he is an artist. I can't say enough about his staff or him in general. Advice directly from their front office - know your insurance. The front office supposedly 'checked' our insurance and we made decisions on what route to go based on their information. It was wrong. They sent me a copy of the website page they got their information from. It was a summary page. One needed to click on the Endodontics link to see what was actually covered - they did not. So....a couple of seniors on a fixed income got stuck with the entire bill of procedures we would have done differently if given the correct information. After much back and forth I was told by the front office that the bottom line was, and I quote their letter to me "IT WAS YOUR INSURANCE AND THEREFORE YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IT COVERS". So if you don't know if what a pulpectomy is or if it's covered by your insurance, or if you even need it, apparently you should. That being said, if you do go here, be sure you get an official pre-treatment estimate from your insurance (not them) if you're concerned about out of pocket expenses. You could also just get the front office estimate and if you're OK with the idea that you may have to pay the entire bill in the end - you'll be fine. read more

Of course no one wants a root canal or major dental work done but being that I am 6 months pregnant, at home with a toddler, and I was in awful, throbbing pain for several days, painful enough to bring me to tears, I was so grateful to get a consult and procedure done here, on the same day I called. There are so many people in the world without access to medical/dental care or pain relief, or even anesthetics. With that mindset, this root canal was like a vacation. I got to lay down for an hour and 20 minutes and I didn't feel any pain. I was sore for only 3 days after. I feel so much better, and completely recovered now, on day 5. I didn't even take any pain meds the day of or anytime after the procedure. I think Dr. Henderson did an amazing job! My husband got called in. He was seeing Dr. Logan was his specialist. I sat to listen to their office girls. I was DAM impressed. The professionalism, patience, clarifications and explanation was superb. I also like the fact that they keep it as private as possible. They do this by writing it it on a piece of paper. Holy holy moly. Dr. Royale is it! I put off getting a root canal for two years, even at the request of my primary DDS. They kept telling me to see Dr. Royale but I always brushed it off. Fast forward and I started having pain. Called Fresno Endo and they got me in same day, gave me a breakdown of my insurance and had me in and out in an hour and half. Believe the reviews! This is the most UNDERWHELMING, BORING, and PAINLESS root canal you will have. Another plus is the staff is very nice. Shout out to Dr. Royale assistant though! One of the most unfortunate negative dental experiences. I was referred by my primary for a root canal. During my root canal they broke a cap on the tooth next to it and they told me I would have to go back to my primary to get it fixed. Was also quoted $300 plus dollars but a few weeks later I received a bill for another $400 plus. Called my insurance and they said the increase was due to how Endodontics coded my procedure. In the end I was charged an extra $400 plus for the root canal (after I already paid them $300 and had to pay my primary an extra $500 for a replacement crown. Update: this is indeed the office I visited, I checked my invoice and address matches. I probably was not located in their records because my profile name does not match my married name on records. read more

The front desk and dental asst. were very nice. However the doctor started off OK I know he's not specialize in children, and it showed very much so they did say they excepted my daughter's age. I did mention to the front and I'm pretty sure they mention it to the doctor cause he made some comments. She has social anxiety. She's a little stress at the Dentist. She is somewhat on the spectrum and had some trauma with Dentist in the past and other traumas. The staff was amazing. The doctor made my daughter cry, took everything in me not to go off. I will never go back there again. I do not recommend children to go there and the way he talked to his staff shows that he thinks he is superior. And made comments that he didn't want my child to waste an appointment slot so therefore he is not a doctor of healthcare. He is a doctor of show me the money not very surprising in this day and age however he broke my daughters spirits shame on him I hope no one treats his children, like he treated my daughter he does have children because he told us. I feel sorry for the people that have to work for him!!! I do not recommend him for children. He may be a good adult doctor. I am two weeks out from my root canal with Dr.Royle. I had to come back to leave a review, as my experience began in complete desperation and my experience here was better than I could have hoped for. I had excruciating pain all night and called the office requesting an emergency appointment. They were able to get me in that day and ensure I'd be out of pain quickly. At the time I was 28 weeks pregnant and they were cautious and careful to explain the process and safety of the procedure. I was completely comfortable the whole time and experienced no discomfort afterwards during any of my recovery. I understand that's not always the case no matter how well the procedure goes- but it's worth noting, as Dr.Royle did mention my roots were seemingly difficult to work on (I've been told this before by multiple dentists). I am thoroughly satisfied with the friendliness of the entire staff- front desk and Wendy, who assisted with the procedure. I will even go as far to say that this root canal was more pleasant than some fillings I've had. Zero pain. Zero discomfort during the procedure. Friendly and comprehensive care. I won't hesitate to come back if I find myself in need of an endodontist again. read more

Let me start by saying that they have the best dentist, Dr Aaron is a gem but I am just taking away 4 stars as the front office is pathetic, unprofessional and everything which you want to avoid. On the day of the appointment, I reached office on time but since front office was busy in their chores so it took them 20 mins to get me through and all this time I was the only patient. Now once I am in, I was in great hands, Dr was knowledgeable and to the point and he did my RC in an hour and I was through. But, wait was it actually over? Nope.... No way near. Here comes the point of payment, After my treatment, I was told that they are billing my insurance and incase insurance process the amount , they will revert the charge but that's what not happened , Insurance process the payment and they sill keeping the charge. My regular Dentist hadn't reopened for office visits due to the Covid-19 lockdown but his office referred me to Fresno Endodontic for jaw pain. I was seen by Dr. Royle who reviewed my X-rays and CT scan then examined my mouth. He took a very conservative approach since the pain wasn't yet localized and he didn't see anything bad on the X-rays. He suggested I come back for an appt. in a few weeks unless the pain got worse in the meantime. The pain went away in a few days when I stopped grinding my teeth, saving me the expense and potential pain of a root canal. I REALLY appreciate that approach, which shows his integrity. Sometimes I wonder if some professionals have been to too many "practice revenue maximization" seminars and put their profits before patient needs. But Dr. Royle isn't like that. He seems to understand that doing right by people will eventually serve him better through the goodwill built with his patients. I'm a big fan, and will tell my Dentist too. read more

I am deathly afraid of needles and was not looking forward to this I did not sleep well for the entire week up until the time I was going for the root canal. I arrived at the office ahead of time I did not realize it but I was about 30 minutes early unfortunately so I had to sit around. Dr. Royle is the man! Nita is also very welcoming and such a sweet lady. My root canal took about an hour but did not feel like it. He explained everything he was doing and repeatedly asked if I was ok. I can honestly say that I've NEVER LAUGHED, while sitting in a dentist chair, until today!! He and his assistant have a great sense of humor and made it very comfortable. Dr. Royle is more about saving the tooth if possible, rather than extraction. About 2 hours later, the numbness is wearing off and I am able to eat. Absolutely a great visit! read more

I'm not a regular yelper but I had to make an account I was so impressed with Dr Henderson and his assistant Nifa she was so bubbly and in a great mood @ 7;45 in the morning I felt very welcome. Other places at @ 7;45 are grouchy and already in a bad mood. Dr Henderson explained everything through I really liked that I didn't even felt a shot I liked that when I came back for my second visit it was the same young lady again very happy and just a great cheerful person. I have major anxiety about seeing a dentist or endodontist. If I could could put on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the worst) of how much I hate going to the dentist, I would probably be between a 4-5. Because of my major anxiety I have neglected my teeth in the past. When I found out that I needed a root canal, I immediately had instant fear. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Aaron Jensen, and when I arrived at the office I was greeted with a friendly staff and calming Doctor. I never felt judged that I needed a root canal. He explained everything I was to expect, and someone who has had my fair share of cavities, I felt like my root canal was better than any of my cavities. I felt no pain, during or after my root canal. Anytime I need any more work in the future, I will for sure be going to his office. Highly recommend! read more

Referred to "Dr Brian" who immediately put me at ease with his calm, easy going manner. The staff offered a few appointment options as I was in pain and I was to return next week. Over the weekend I developed another issue and arrived for my original root canal with a second problem. Dr Brian spent the first 1/2 hour on my "new" problem and we decided on a treatment plan. The scheduled root canal was zero pain! Amazing technology and Doc kept me informed throughout the procedure. Dr. Informed me throughout the process regarding "best case" and what may happen. I'm 8 hours after the procedure and so far so good. Not knowing probably is the biggest fear I had and this knowledgable office and caring Dr. made my experience outstanding under the circumstances.
