The hot spot food items and bakery is almost always fully stocked depending on the hour. The place is nice and clean, as well as the bathrooms. There are many open fuel pumps, and a car wash that you never have to wait too long at. My favorite bonus about this location - the convenient Hedberg Public Library Book/DVD rental drop off boxes. But I drove to Beloit because the gas at Gene's was $4.80!!! It's $5.50 or more around Roscoe/Rockford, IL. The pumps are older, as is the whole facility, old-fashioned, genuinely quaint. You can't use your credit card in the pump. And they do prefer cash. Go to Gene's. Keep this small town, family business going. And enjoy filling your tank, even though the prices are still awful. At Gene's they are less awful.

We made it & once there, he repaired our tire & put it back on. All of that & was super friendly but the huge shocker, charged a very fair price.
