I live right down the road from the station and fill up about once a week for the past year. Was incredibly shocked to be charged a $135 hold on my bank account from pumping gas just the other day. I was incorrectly informed that it was not the gas stations fault but my banks fault, that is incredibly false and can be proven, I used to work at a bank myself and know the law. While my bank does control when I get the money back, which was an agonizing eight days, the gas station itself is who put the hold on the account to keep themselves from being liable in case I have no money. While I can understand a one dollar hold, a $25 hold, a $135 hold is extremely excessive. I have a 12 gallon tank I have never in my life spent $135 in gas. I am so angry I went into the negative because of this POS company.
