To my surprise, this might be my favorite grocery store I've been to! Love the layout and the sort of forced organized movement of shoppers, they have a massive amount of baked goods, deli picks, and prepared meals, a lot of items other stores don't carry for some reason (stuff I used to find VERY easily in most grocery stores), good prices, and a nice atmosphere of the older days. They also sell funny turkey hats sometimes for a marathon they do for charity.

He called me a liar right to my face, he said there was no way I just bought that cheese there a couple of days ago. I told him why would i lie? I told him about all 3 experiences.He didn't offer me anything, i think not only should I have been offered cottage.Cheese ricotta, cheese and mild cheddar cheese.But this should have to buy me a meal or something.Because I had to throw away those meals. Now when I go to festival foods, when I have to I look at every date of everything and always grab from the back.I find old stuff all the time and try to do most of my shopping at HyV. This was also on a day that was about 25 degrees, but it didn't make it less good. The price is also not bad. Before finishing the review I kind of forgot and it's been a couple weeks, I returned - yet again in mid-winter during bad snow even, and it was still delicious and didn't even give me brainfreeze or anything. It's even better with mix-ins - though I will say they were rather lazy about doing said mixing in, more like "rolled two times" but it was still tasty. However, because that's a big part of what the place is all about, along with them being rather slow even when it's not too busy, AND them giving one or two small "mix in" pieces/things (i.e. 3 little crumbly bits of cake) they still charge it as a full mix-in if you add something like sprinkles. Hell, sprinkles should be free to begin with, but when you're going to just give me 0.02 cents of "cake" I shouldn't be charged a buck more. These 3 reasons are why it's 4 instead of 5, still great and recommended!

It was filthy, like it hadn't been checked all day, with paper towels on the floor, water and soap suds all over the sink and counter, and toilet paper on the floor next to the toilet. The exhaust fan didn't appear to be working, so there was a funky odor to the place that wouldn't go away.
