After I paid for the fuel and asked for a shower, I was told by Coltin that the showers closed at 9pm, which I knew, hence why I changed my entire route to get there in plenty of time to shower at 8:40pm. He told me he did not have time to clean the shower because by the time that he cleaned the shower, it would be 9pm. There were 3 other employees working. One of which was outside sweeping the parking lot. Without the oil industry, Van Hook wouldn't even be on the map. I remember when there was a time that this place was unmatched in their customer service where they would let me take a shower, even if there were only five minutes for them left to be open because they knew how hard we worked. Sad that Coltin changed the entire view of this place for me after working in the Oil Industry for over 11 years. Do better, Van Hook. No wonder there are 3.2 stars out of five total reviews. Complained how he had just mopped the floor and how the store closes in "a little over half an hour" and kept making comments about how annoying it is for him when customers come in after he just finished mopping the floor. The sign on the door said the store was open until 10 pm so i'm confused why the cashier would mop the floor 40 mins before the store closes and then proceed to complain when customers come to purchase items during open hours... I would understand if we came in 5 minutes before closing..but this was 40 minutes before close. The entire time we were in the store he kept going on and on and just wouldn't stop about how annoying it is for him. We repeatedly apologized for inconveniencing him so much...It made us very uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcomed which was disappointing because that isn't the kind of service we are used to receiving here.
