i've exchanged euros to dollars here on a few trips to france. It is my go-to place and the spot that i recommend to friends. The rate is the best I could find in paris (and much better than my bank in new york). The gentleman behind the window is very nice (i assume he's the owner). Always very polite and professional. Honestly this is the nicest exchange i've ever been to. It's a block from gare de nord-- easy to get to and very worth it if you have a large amount of currency to exchange. The day I went in they charged around 6% to exchange USD to Euros. Not great but not terrible either I guess. If you have time I would suggest exchanging your dollars to euros at a local bank in the states before your travels. Cen publishes their exchange rates on their website but don't be tricked by the difference in rates displayed for the cost to buy euros and the cost to sell euros. read more

So surprised and happy to find this company to convert my currency. At first I thought it was a scam, I went on the website and couldn't believe there was no commission or fees. And the exchange rate on their website and at the location was almost exact if not the same when I checked on google. I "sold" $119 and got back 87,50Euros. I just check google's rates right now and it said 88,10euros (about a euro more than yesterday), I got paid the full amount like they promised and walked out with the 87,50euro. Unquestionably satisfied, compared to my previous experience with another venue. I exchanged $100 and just barely recieved 60euros back. They gave me the wrong exchange rate and only god knows how much commissions/fees were hidden from me. Anyways, I highly recommend Cen-Change. The customer service alone was great; they actually spoke english (well at that) and on the website you can reserve the exchange rate they have, for up to 2days in case it changes. This place offers great exchange rates from USD to Euros. When I visited in September 2017, the rate was within cents of the true exchange rate. I took my girlfriend here to exchange her US dollars. I exchanged through my bank prior to leaving the US because I did not want to risk not having local currency upon my arrival. My bank rate was way worse than the CEN Change rate. Never exchange money at the airport or a Travelex. This place was relatively easy to find and less than a 10 minute walk from the metro. It is a tiny storefront. This place does NOT charge commission and hours listed are correct. I arrived 5 minutes before opening and the guy here was nice enough to help me out before hand. I had gone to the travelex place in the train station first and they wanted $100 commission on the $1200 I was changing. This place did not charge me this. Highly recommended this place. No extra charge and the best currency exchange rates in Paris after doing a lot of online research. Traded euro for USD at a rate of 1 to 1.32 when other recommended exchange places were going for 1 to 1.27. Not to mention what the airport would have charged! Go to their website to see what their exchange rates are for the day. You can reserve a current rate for 2 days, or even set an alert to tell you if your desired rate has gone into effect. Not sure if they speak English because we conducted the transaction in French, but can't hurt to try. It's easy to get to. Take the Metro to Gare de L'Est, take Sortie 6 on to Blvd Strasbourg, and keep walking straight until you see a blue sign that says "CHANGE." read more

Holy crap, this place is AWESOME for international currency exchanges! First off, they have the BEST rates, NO COMMISSION. You basically get an even exchange of currency which is unheard of in the United States. If you're coming from the States, come HERE for currency. Don't change it back at home. There is no way you can get these rates. The guy does not speak English but that's ok because Money is the international language anyways. Thanks to YELP and Marie and Tiffany who previously reviewed this place otherwise I wouldn't have been able to find it. Look for that Blue Overhang that says cen-change.com on it. There are are a few other currency exchange places but I was able to find it through the photos here. On another note, as soon as you do get your money changed, ZIP IT UP AND PUT IT AWAY in a safe spot. I did get pickpocketed immediately afterwards close to the establishment but it was my complacency that led to this. By the time I had walked to the Metro, my wallet had disappeared. read more

After many research, I found this place. This is a real deal. What you see is what you get. No fees. Their rate is very close to the one posted in Google.
