For the event, we didn't get to tour the indoor greenhouse but I didn't mind that. I understand it's a busy place. But to be able to see the massive outdoor area and landscape was amazing! I mean it was acres on acres of beauty, flowers and greenery. There's a little lake or water reservoir in the back as well. This event was a really fun time. I got to peruse their flowers and even vote on which ones I liked best to hopefully be included in their 2026 season. This was such a great experience and I'm so grateful I got to see inside!!

I visited soil supply after it was recommended. I was picking up compost and mulch 1x/week or so…read morefitting as much as I could in the trunk of my sedan, which isn't much...maybe 8 bags or so. I went online to determine the size of my garden area and Soil Supply gave me a price for the compost that included delivery. 10 days later, I had it delivered. This was a good time for me as I would be out of town. Delivery was early in the morning (before 8 a.m.) in my driveway, where I laid a tarp. It it still there, a week later as I am still preparing the garden area. When I am outside, t's pretty stinky but that is to be expected. The compost is good quality, except there are some lumps that I break up by hand. When you need a large bit of compost, gravel, mulch, (see photos) and such visit Soil Supply to have it delivered. Get a wheelbarrow if you don't have one to transport the dirt to the back of the house. When visiting, look for the office seen in my photo as there is another driveway that you don't want to enter. It is all the way down the dirt road. When you see the mounds, enter through the gates and the office is in front of you.

Some other people came to the check out and were behind me also waiting we all waited then after about 10 minutes someone showed up. They had a type of Bradford Pear that doesn't split as easily; this was the only place in the area that carried this cultivator. Turtle Creek Nursery is huge! Bring comfortable walking shoes and maybe some water in the summer; you'll need both walking through the premises to see as much as possible. Awesome selection of trees and shrubs; everything was healthy and looked great. Don't want to have the same plants as the rest of the neighborhood who shops at Lowes? This is one place that you can find the stuff to differentiate your landscape. The salesperson that help us out was very knowledgeable; he talked us out of the other Bradford saying it still had the same issues as the old ones. We walked out of there with a Maple and three other shrubs. Long story short everything we bought is thriving beautifully. When I need new shrubs and what not for my yard I'll be back.
