Great experience! So glad we stopped at this little Shop. They have a huge selection of kilts, and all things Celtic. Very nice people. Stayed open a little later just to accommodate us. We bought a kilt we love and it was on sale! We will definitely visit this little Shop again. read more

Great service! Had the dance shoes I needed but sent me a few pairs to try (in case of sizing/fit issues) and I just sent back the shoes that didn't work. Great selection of items and friendly staff. read more

Great little store where you can get a pretty bad ass kilt. You can also rent if you're not ready to commit to ownership. The owners are also super cool and helpful. Not a lot of stuff for women but plenty of men's clothing. They also offer dance classes for all ages! read more

My groomsmen and I got our outfits for my wedding here. Best price and quality in the city. I checked across the country and still found them to be the best. Family owned and operated, love supporting a family business. I stop in every time I am in the area! They worked with me to get the proper family tartans for myself and the groomsmen, which other larger companies wouldn't, they wanted to force a tartan on me. The guys at the Celtic Corner were really diligent, paid great attention to detail, and we're really patient with my more "rowdy" groomsmen! read more

This little gem is family owned and operated. As such, you should probably call to make sure they are going to be there. But it's worth the trip when they are open! They have wonderful celtic items and gifts. We bought earrings, a nice Celtic pin, and rented a full formal kilt from them. They give excellent and personalized service and assistance. Highly recommend them! read more

Specialties

We hope you will find our products unique and reasonably priced. We have spent countless hours researching to buy products directly from the manufacturers. Most of the items are imported directly from Scotland, England and Ireland. Celtic Corner was opened in February 2002 by Lenora Gilmour, Louise Reid and Robert Reid. Robert is married to Louise and has been a bagpiper since 1996. Louise is Lenora's daughter and a Highland Dancing judge and instructor. Lenora has been a kilt maker for over 20 years but has been sewing most of her life. In this short time, the small family run business has grown dramatically and we are very excited to be expanding our online store.

History

Established in 2003.

Celtic Corner opened in Feb 2003 with a few products and a hope to share our love of all things Scottish and Irish. We have grown dramatically over the years and hope you enjoy our product line. We are mainly an outfitting shop for those interested in kilt wearing be it traditional or modern, we have it all. We also have a complete kilt rental program and a range of gifts and novelties. Bagpiping, drumming, highland and Irish dance supplies round out our shop so we have something for just about everyone. Call or text for an appointment today!

Meet the Business Owner: Louise and Robert R.

Louise was born in Scotland and moved to the US quite young. She is a highland dancing judge and teacher and loves sharing the Scottish culture. She also performs with Seven Nations when possible. Robert is a bagpiper, raised in England but has strong Scots/Irish ties through his father who was born in N. Ireland. He plays with the Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums and loves sharing stories of the origins of dances, tunes and folklore.
