While Garden Valley has great internet speed options, they are overall a subpar ISP. Their customer…read moreservice is lacking, has poor communication, isn't proactive when scheduling installations, and is not technical whatsoever. Their website looks and functions like a throwback site from 1999 requiring users to download pdf's to find out pricing and doesn't list tech support contact info. Their prices are extremely high, and worst of all, they force a land line on their customers despite the fact it's 2015 and no one uses land lines anymore. But, because they're the only connection option for so many people, they can force their archaic business practices on their unfortunate customers. Garden Valley Telephone Company makes Comcast look like saints. A few free tips: 1. List your prices on the site. No more pdf downloads. 2. Unbundle mandatory land lines. 3. List the tech support phone number. 4. Post a support faq for users with simple troubleshooting steps. 5. Communicate with your customers on eta for installation. 6. Communicate tech support status with customers rather than letting issues fall into a black hole of despair and confusion. Join the modern world. It's not 1999 anymore, yo.

My phone screen cracked and I was told itd be a couple of days to repair. A week and a half later…read moremy screen was replaced w a screen that doesn't genuinely fit my phone. Within 72 hrs of it back in my care the screen went black. I was without my phone for another 2 weeks. They gave me $30/$380 back for the inconvenience. I tried to leave things at this. But my phone screen stopped working again, I take it to the UND IT and they helped me on the spot. I'll be calling in the morning to see if I can get my full refund. Why spend almost $400 on a repair that isnt going to last 3 months?! A college student with no phone during midterms for 3 weeks? Shameful. The lack of communication played a vital role.

I did call them late Thursday and they said it should be done tomorrow. I called at 1:30 the next day after no updates and he said they were closing early and it wouldnt be done until Monday morning. Monday came and still no call, so I called and they said they were very busy and it would for sure be done on Tuesday morning. Well Tuesday morning still no call so I called at 3pm and they said it would be done in 30 minutes, i told him to call me asap when its done!! Waiting until 5:45 and after no call i called back again and he said its done but they close at 6pm and i would have to pick it up Wednesday, I jumped in my truck and got there at 5:55 and got my phone. It worked properly after i charged it in my truck. I use my phone for daily work, had a funeral and a wedding this weekend and other things I normally use my phone for so getting it back on Friday was a stretch but 6 days to fix it was much to long.
