I'm 78 years old and he reminds me of old school barbers of yore. I'm happy with the work and he is great to talk with. A barber who has been cutting hair almost as long as I have been alive. He understands exactly what he is doing and takes his time to make sure he does you well. He has a lot of random sports and toy nic naks on his walls and was watching westerns on a old tube tv that your grandpa would of made you get up and change channels for him. Corey is very friendly and very talkative. Telling about life stories and just listening to your story as well. Can't wait till he gets his straight edge back in use for a warm shave. The business is cash only so need to know that going in m, but I think he did a fantastic job on my hair and agreed that the "base" barbers messed my hair up last two times. He in fact pointed it out first. He has been cutting military hair for $25 years and only charges $12 a cut. You may have to wait if anyone is in front since he currently works alone but he is a great barber. Hands down will be going back!

I landed in Empyre Barbershop, and I'm glad I did. Making an appointment through the Booksy app for a haircut and beard service was quick and easy, allowing me to set an appointment that fit my schedule. I rolled into the shop a little early because it was my first time there. The shop was cool, clean, and had a super chill vibe. My barber, Mike, was able to get me in right away. I let Mike know what I wanted my hair to look like: skin fade bald up to here, laying down off the part there, and a line up and trim on the beard I had just recently started growing out. Mike gave me not just a great cut, but probably *the best barber experience I've had in at least ten years.* You can get a fade pretty much anywhere nowadays, but I was completely impressed with Mike's skill with the clippers and attention to detail with a blade. Most importantly, as a random dude coming in for the first time, I was amazed by Mike's ability to execute.
