Neece is the bomb. While on vacation in Ogden, I only needed a side shave to clean up my mohawk (so no need to touch the top), and she did a perfect job. Took her time. Checked things over. She also asked great questions to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. The result is sleek and just right. I would highly recommend. S. got an all over clean up by Lisa, who did exactly what he wanted. He would also highly recommend. Both were friendly and meticulous professionals, and we're very happy. The others were also friendly, and I watched one barber give a customer a seriously sharp edge. I needed a fresh cut for my aunts wedding and I came in about 2 hours before, and I had to wait a little longer than expected for my appointment but they got me in and the guy who cut my hair(dont remember his name, but he was in his twenties) did a fantastic job getting the fade super clean and keeping my curls up top. Never seen anyone cut with such precision and confidence. As far as pricing goes for a barber shop this place is a steal for the quality, and attention they give their customers. I had to wait about twenty-five minutes to get seen; I was a walk-in, but they weren't terribly busy. Only 2 people working. The staff seemed to be on good terms with some regular people, but no one took to really greeting me when I walked in like they would at a Great Clips or something like that. I assume that' just part of the culture of an old-style barber shop. The lady who ended up cutting my hair actually came in after I'd been there and seemed to be starting her shift. It was $15 for the cut and she did a good job, so ultimately I'm pleased with the cut for the price, but the customer service left me scratching my head a bit. If I needed another cut and was in Ogden on a given day I wouldn't shy away from returning, but Moore's also isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way to go for a cut. read more

I called and scheduled a 5pm appointment. I showed up at 4:55pm to ensure I had my seat. There would have been an understandable slight wait as the barber was with a customer. Another gentleman, who knew the barber I was assigned, came in around 5:10pm and I am unsure if he overbooked or just overlooked me because the barber took him prior to me. I waited to give the barber the benefit of the doubt, but at 5:50 I was fed up and could not wait any longer. To me this is unacceptable and for that reason I will not go back to Moore's. I do not like my time to be waisted especially when I have an appointment On a positive note, the barbers looked like they were giving good haircuts. read more

My son loved going their until today . I had stopped to schedule him an appointment well the whole time my son was their the guy did not shut up about scheduling on line .i went to pick him up the barber continue to flap his jaws to me in front of everyone i need to do it on line .He has forgotten he works for us not us for him , The barbers are super but that particular one is minus one customer . They have been late to the appointment several times, for example-appointment at 10, no one shows up until 1005. I got my haircut there right before my wedding and he miss several spots on the fade. As soon as I brought it up, he had a problem with me. The barbers there are hit or miss. Today, they were late to open up or they let me book the wrong time on Booksy. I got there, no one in sight. Not trying to be brutal here, just honest, but I'm not happy with my first visit here so far. Showed up 10 minutes early for my 10:00 appointment, and here I am still waiting after 10:40 because they had no records of my appointment. I was told two more customers til they can get to me, I've seen 4 pass me, 3 of them showed up after me. This really puts me behind for the wedding I'm getting ready for. If the other local shops weren't already booked up I wouldn't still be sitting here. Be sure to get the name of the person you make the appointment with! Moores has been here for a very long time in Ogden. My father's father got his hair cut there, my father, and me. They have withstood the test of time although some have become to old to continue barbering the new blood is just as good if not better than the old. read more

My partner and I decided to be hipsters one day and support the local barber shop on 25th Street. The owner was friendly, as was the older woman working there, but the younger employees made homophobic comments, used (excessive) profanity, and were obnoxiously loud. As for the shop itself, the floor was filthy and the couches were covered in stains and hair... it just wasn't clean. It may be a local business, but it was far from welcoming. read more
