The owners are so friendly and they have made a huge effort to create a space that is welcoming, inviting, and offers a unique selection of fabric and quilting accessories. The day I visited they also had fresh coffee and pan dulce for customers! One of the owner's kids was nearby helping with internet stuff and the husband and wife team worked together to cut fabric and ring me up. The fabric selection is high quality, with many patterns and prints that reflect the region's Mexican/American culture. There's an absolutely gorgeous Cotton + Steel thread display of every imaginable color. Embroidery thread, sewing notions, and a few quilting patterns are also available. I already love this store and can't wait to see how they grow. Very excited to have this resource in Del Río!

Rented a dozer for a week and received the quote for weekly rental. It was during the holiday week…read more I mentioned I might need it longer and they said they would pick it up the following Monday and they would bill me for the additional hours over 40 prorated. This was the first time any hour usage was mentioned. The hydraulic hose came apart at the coupler and it was unusable. I had to track the machine about 2 miles to the pick up point. Received a bill for an additional $270 which was billed at the highest rate and 1/2 day minimum, not on the prorated weekly rate. Plus the machine broke at 3 extra hours. Communication on the contract was non existent, a document was signed when it was dropped off and details were not listed. Called and seemed like there was only one side and it was theirs. Renting from them is not an option for me, I don't like surprises and won't trust again.

Then, recently, we had a serious freeze! We saw unusually low temps in the area. Plumbing was freezing everywhere. All the plumbers and well repair firms were overtaxed. We made some interim repairs and kept going. Now, the second interim "repair" failed. We contacted Hinds. They could have come out, but we elected to have them supply the parts and some solid advice. With the right parts, the assembly went together flawlessly! We have a functional, professional looking job.
