They asked a lot of questions during the interview that were really unnecessary (like how I spend my free time). They asked what rate I was seeking and also what was the lowest rate I would consider. Even though they didn't have a position for me yet, they insisted on checking my references. Finally after all this you wait. A few weeks later they called me up with a position that paid less than the lowest rate I said I would consider, like they're doing me a big favor because I'm unemployed. I did not take the bait... and I decided not to have anything to do with them again. The next time I posted my resume on the job sites - a year later - they started calling me again. They wanted me to come back in and do the whole process over. No way. Robert Half is the absolute bottom of the barrel as far as IT contracts are concerned. Take a look at the rates they have posted on some of their positions. You can't find an agency that pays less than they do. Don't waste your time.
