Working with Alex and Rachel was a great experience. I can see how they go the extra mile for both the job seekers and the employers.

First off I worked at the Brownsville wi location as a cleaner, I was supposed to be weekends only,…read morebut agreed to help with other routes, the manager arcili is supposed to train you on the routes, she doesnt. She made me train every new person, when I was hardly shown the routes she expected me to fill in. If theres and issue shes impossible to get ahold of, she lives in green bay well over an hour and a half away. She made me a regular cleaner fire, and collect two people's badges, which not being my job made me extremely uncomfortable, ive tried letting her know the weekend cleaner wasnt cleaning things, and never got a response, but Mondays I always had to do what weekend worker didnt do. She favors hispanic workers over white. Ive caught her talking badly about a Co worker whome doesnt know any Spanish. Its just crazy that someone like thats in charge of a whole facility. I was let go because outbof frustration i said this will possibly be my last week, mind you I was the only one left from the start of this contract. I would recommend sodexo cleaning over kleenmark. The job itself was great, but whats killing it is the manager, unfortunately.

Before our 1 year was up they gave us 2 weeks notice that they were not cleaning our store anymore...this was not proper notification and they refused to respond on why the short notification. Good Riddance! They were not a good business partner from the get go. If they come calling, please pass on the service from them.

I was referred to Berndt CPA and worked with one of the partners. The one positive thing I can say…read morewas that when the process was all over and we began discussing the bill he was willing to negotiate and while he said they had $8,000 in on the project I was able to negotiate him down to $2,500. Other than that, it was a very poor experience. My wife and I own a real estate investing business. We have rental properties throughout the county and in Janesville. We also do a few flips each year. My degree is in business administration and I've done my own bookkeeping for my business, as well as my parents, off and on since college. We signed an engagement letter on January 25th. We let him know taxes needed to be done ASAP and he said he had the bandwidth and they'd be done within 2 weeks of receiving files. We had the last few items turned in February 5th (though enough to start was turned in before then). At that point he introduced us to an associate manager, who sent an extensive list of questions on the 12th and 13th. We responded to each same day. We finally got a first draft of the taxes on February 24th (almost a week late). Unfortunately, the associate manager had taken the liberty of choosing to do journal entries to switch from capitalizing property startup costs (the way it was recorded in the books) to using de minimis election to maximize expenses. Since we're a small business, we always capitalize initial startup improvements on each property to increase taxable income so that banks (personal and business) can see our operational profitability. These changes made us show huge losses, and our mortgage broker said they'd decline our loan if filed as is. Additionally, he had failed to prepare taxes for one of the two states required. At that point I decided not to worry about the second state (do it myself later) and just focus on getting federal cleaned up. As I began talking with the partner about the issues and trying to get them addressed, he was repeatedly insulting. On one of the calls he expressed several times that he felt the QuickBooks files were "a mess", that he didn't think I understood basic accounting principles and terminology, that he couldn't file a complete and accurate return without making substantial bookkeeping corrections, and that perhaps we were at an impasse. Another time, responding to an email where I asked why he hadn't made a change we'd agreed to, he said "Based on your comments and our discussions, you don't seem to be getting any of this and we are just trying to assist and teach you along the way. Granted, it has taken numerous times explaining this and any related concepts, which has definitely slowed down everything.... I will not do my final review of everything until we have addressed all your questions and/or concerns." I presume not doing the "final review" is why the change hadn't been made. It took me many hours of reviews and several emails of corrections (and repeating things that weren't corrected the first time) to finally get the taxes to a fillable state. Even then, there were still issues that just didn't feel major enough to hold up filing. After the issues with the first draft, the partner became incredibly difficult to reach and almost every deadline he committed to, he missed. Often the only way I could reach him was to call the front desk, be told he was unavailable, tell them that I really needed to talk to him, and have them either instant message him or go physically searching the office. When I would finally reach him, it was always clear (either implicitly or sometimes explicitly stated) that he was "squeezing me in." Finally, yesterday, when he was trying to get the bill sorted out, he became very response, timely, friendly, and accommodating. At this point the taxes are filed and we've received back Accountant copies for our 3 LLCs. However, when I loaded in the copies, the journal entry for one of the LLCs wasn't anything close to what I had validated. The partner said, "this sometimes happens with QuickBooks".

I used Berndt CPA for years and they went from being a very good accounting firm to an absolute…read moremess. Constantly losing my information. Deleted my 2 yr old child off of my taxes. Got my address wrong for taxes. Stated that I made too much money to get the dependent child care tax credit ( you always get it, the percentage just changes). Literally went from owing 13k in taxes to just owing 1300 after they fixed all of their mistakes. In fact, they were so bad that the Wisconsin IRS (dept of revenue) assessed me a $222 Negligence penalty. Which I made Berndt pay. I am never using them again.
