That is why I chose to have my mom receive her skilled nursing care there. Today when I visited, Tracy was helping my mom, and I could immediately see how much she truly loves her job. The way she cared for my mom, hugged her, and showed her so much love and compassion brought me to tears. What touched me even more was seeing her treat another resident with that same kindness and care. Tracy was actually there on her day off, yet she was running around helping wherever she was needed. She changed my mom's bed and got her a different one, hooked things up, checked on people, and was constantly making sure everyone was taken care of. Her dedication was incredible to see. My mom also told me how wonderful the nurses have been at night when helping her with her BiPAP machine. She said they worked their butts off to make sure everything was set up correctly and that she was comfortable and safe. Today, it was so wonderful to see my mom happy and well cared for. Every person who has cared for my mom at Meadowbrook has been wonderful, and I am truly grateful for each of them. The building may be old, but the heart of Meadowbrook is its people. Thank you to everyone there who works so hard to care for our loved ones. You are appreciated more than you know!

We used them in 2017 and am to begin using them again for lab work and assist in transferring from wheelchair to hospital bed & vice versa. It is a matter of attitude, sometimes, as to whether or not something works well. Always keep in mind that caregivers can burn out, so try and be a bit forgiving if they have had a bad day. We are all here, playing out in our own personal theaters of drama, trying to make life a little better for each other. Perfection will never be achieved.

During the visit I mentioned three health issues that I'm struggling with 2 of which need prescriptions. She didn't ask questions or address two of them! After the brief visit she disappeared to write notes and I had to wait again for a long time until she came back. At the last minute of the appt., while walking away from me, she remembered that I needed one of the prescriptions and then disappeared. What? How is this a quality visit?
