I entered Adventist Hospital's emergency department with what I thought was the flu and was…read moreactually diagnosed as end-stage renal disease (with 12 hours to live if it had not been treated when it was). Seven days later, I left intensive care -- much healthier and on dialysis. One of the three doctors responsible for saving my life recommended the Florida Dialysis Center of Celebration for continuing treatment. Leary that any dialysis center could equal my excellent hospital care, I accepted the recommendation, and five weeks ago, I showed up in the Florida Dialysis Center's lobby. The next door I walked through made me feel like a kid walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory! I walked into a beautiful, bright, clean, neat, quiet, high-tech, massive room with twelve recliner chairs, a personal TV at every station, a lab, a control center, and wooden floors that I wish were in my own home. While taking all this in, I found more! The doctors, nurses, and staff are almost beyond measure -- highly-qualified, dedicated, super-friendly, and truly caring about my wellbeing. I felt that I was inside a five-star hotel where my known and unknown needs -- from nutrition counseling to doctor consultations and dialysis medicines to a myriad of amenities -- are all met right at my massage chair. Thank you to everyone who helped restore me to that place where I am now, including Dr. Amr El Toukhy, Dr. Anil Navani, Danielle, Yvette, Santana, Frances, Sammy, JoJo, Roshni, Yumi, Rose, Brenda, and Mary (and the rest of the group, whose names I have yet to memorize). Whether you are on vacation or needing a more permanent destination, I highly recommend the Florida Dialysis Center of Celebration. Beyond that standard-looking lobby door, a big, new adventure awaits!

The medical staff provided quality care to a loved one on a recent visit. They were professional and respectful in their interactions while delivering attentive care and treatment.

I went to the ER because I thought I was having a stroke or a heart attack…read more Pros: -Fast and efficient ER visit - Most OH employees are attentive and offer sympathetic care, such as warm blankets -Modern hospital beds, furniture and clean surroundings -They use more natural cleaning products to sterilize the rooms Cons: -They want to bill the heck out of your insurance. People turn up in your room to do redundant and many times unnecessary evaluations where they bill your insurance. No results. -They keep you there to do a multitude of test without providing results to you as a patient. Their response to requests is to check the MyChart portal which has information only a doctor could interpret -Specialists come to your room and ask you how you are doing. Maybe two sentences and no communication of your treatment plan. -The specialist and hospital general practitioner release you with no information on the cause/treatment plan. Isn't a diagnosis the number one reason to go to the hospital? The nurse told me to check the portal for results and make an appointment with the specialist within two weeks. Several days and thousands of dollars and I get nothing? I called the physician and he could not see me for almost 3.5 weeks. Advent Health here I come because I could secure a specialist 3 days later. To summarize I asked why I was not getting a diagnosis and treatment plan on release? Their response was that I had a pre-existing condition (A-Fib) and they only treat acute care. OK good to know next time I feel I am having an urgent health care incident. Their action plan was for me to follow up with the specialist who had said maybe 4 sentences to me over the course of several days. This happened multiple times to my husband (lots of testing, no results.). I finally learned my lesson that the closest hospital is not the best hospital.

This facility only operates 3 days a week I am not sure if it's because they have a lack of staff…read moreor a lack of the people they are supposedly keep alive actually living. I've been going here for about 6 months and I've gotten the feel out of how things work here. Most of techs are great! And the nurses are absolutely fantastic! They are not the problem with this facility it's the people behind the closed doors in there offices, social workers do zero help to try to help you in what you need. And doctors don't visit as often due to the lack of importance I don't know who is who and who does what. Where I'm from originally, the social workers office was accessible, you could go up and knock on the door and tell them if your planning a trip or if you won't be in for a treatment to reschedule and etc. a LOT falls thru the cracks like my flu shot... it's now January and it was on back order I guess because they run out of supplies a LOT as well. Anyways I never did get my flu shot I had to go back on holiday back in my home town to get one because I'm not paying a Dr here $60 for a appointment and a flu shot. I just don't know what this place can do to even improve also if you have fluid overload they also cannot help you... they will only do whatever there magic BS NUMBER they come up with that's what they take off they suggest a extra treatment other then just taking off the fluid in that 1 treatment. Not exactly helpful more like a nice way to keep that money coming in.
