So me and my girlfriend had barley stepped foot in the store and automatically was followed,…read morestained at and when going to check out instead of saying excuse me, ir anything the counter has a little swinging door and she almost hit me with the door. The whole time I was respectful and not saying a word until all my items almost fell out my arms. When the cashier was bagging my soda cans she aggressively shoved/throwed a can in my bag. And once I got home to realize it but a whole can was wasted because she busted it.

Nothing out of the ordinary. The whole place is pretty average at best. Workers don't look too happy to be there, though. A greet or smile was far to challenging for them. But it is what it is - convenient for our stop. I'll probably stop by again if needed - but not before checking out the same similar stop across the street.

I am a well-dressed, 50 year old professional, known by face and manner to the employees of this store. I carry a bag with my students personal information entrusted to me for the Motorcycle training class I teach, I keep my personal Id and belongings, my glasses, my lunch in that bag. Upon entering the store April 7 2016, I was screeched at by a female employee (who refused to give me her name) that I had to leave my bag outside by the door. I was being treated like a criminal, a thief because I carry a backpack. Ladies are not required to leave their purse at the door unintended, but the management of this store believes it is appropriate to tell customers they must leave a backpack...unsecured, unattended. Their reasoning? who knows, it's not publically shared.. Assuming it is a theft issue... it makes even less sense to direct customers at a store that caters and attracts thieves (by admission through their own policies) to leave a bag or personal property on the ground, unsecured and unattended ripe for theft. Since 2005 I have used Mickeys to purchase thousands of gallons of gasoline and Diesel for business use, hundreds of gallons a month of both products for personal use. 3 to 6 days a week stopping in for snacks and drinks, ice for my students....But with the horrid way I was treated and the Management unable to make a common sense policy... Well there are Valero's all over central Texas as well. Valero does not post signs making the store a victim zone. (like the Mickeys that was just robbed at gunpoint yesterday, I feel bad for the employees whose lives the store owners do not care about, and the customers who may endanger them self's by going into those stores ) Valero does not treat customers, new and frequent like criminals, and there Diesel and gas burns just as well in my 3 cars, work truck, 65 training motorcycles that I am the fleet manager for.

In the past, I've never encountered any issues with using my debit card for these purchases. Today, however, I was informed that lottery tickets could not be purchased with a debit card unless combined with another item. While I understand this may be due to transaction fees, that has nothing to do with me. Don't open a business if you're concerned with machine fees. Additionally, I've noticed some ongoing concerns with the store's overall condition: - Dust accumulation in various areas - Stale selection of candy and chips - Flat fountain drinks I've purchased other items (such as snacks for my nephews) in the past and experienced these same quality issues firsthand. I truly value convenience stores like yours for quick lottery access, but these factors have led me to decide I will no longer be returning. This particular convenience store has a larger gasoline station than the one down the street on Veterans Memorial & MLK Blvd. Multiple fuel pumps and a gigantic shade with enough vertical clearance to help keep the hot Texas sun rays off any lifted monster truck while getting a refill. I only stopped by for the fuel, but had to go inside because the receipt didn't print at the pump. Maybe it was out of paper. It's your garden variety convenience store with all the familiar amenities. The store clerk was quite pleasant and she kindly provided a copy of the gasoline receipt for my business travels. Southern hospitality isn't lost here. I would return to this Mickey's if fate brought me back.
