Beautiful venue! Horribly shady owners. Bit late on my review, but my now wife and I were set to get married here back in 2020. A few months before the set date came the pandemic and the venue shut down for a while, unfortunately unable to fulfill our scheduled day. Long story short, the owners unnecessarily had a lawyer tell us we would not receive the deposit back for the day (not that we had asked). So just warning anyone considering this place, the owners will turn real shady on you if something doesn't go quite right. read more

My cousin had an outdoor wedding here in 2010/11, if not mistaken, great place. So it had been years since I'd been. This past Sunday, posting this, Festa Italiana held their annual event that had been halted a few years, but if not mistaken it had been here the year prior? Can't remember. It definitely wasn't anything to be compared to the events that were held at Pioneer Courthouse Square back in the old days before Covid hit... But given that it's been a few years since they've held the event and then a lot of the people who helped out before, catering, musicians, etc. weren't able to help or make it this year we must take that into consideration. It was an experiment so to say being here at the lodge to see how it works and of course after a trial the next year always becomes better and better as it goes on. I had my wedding here in June '22. The area surrounding the clubhouse is absolutely gorgeous, and we had the choice of several lovely spots to take our vows. The interior was well maintained. It had a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and was everything we were looking for. As nice as the venue itself was, the thing that put it over the top was the Manager Maria. When we were originally looking at the venue she answered all our questions, and was quite accommodating with helping us find a decorator and a photographer ( we loved the people she suggested). We hired her as the event coordinator for our wedding, and every step of the way we were impressed with her professionalism. The day of the wedding was a breeze because of her. Things went smoothly and both our families commented on how effortless things proceeded. We couldn't be happier Updated with some pictures. read more

I had a wedding there in July 2020. Everything was nice, and even seemed perfect. Though I got $0 back of my deposit. They don't pick up my calls, and don't reply to my mails. Therefore I'm "kind of" disappointed for not getting a $500.00 back. They didn't even tell us the reason they keept all of the money. Had a fun time at the spring dance. A fundraiser for My Father's house. It was a fun night.

I hired Hannah & Cedarville for our wedding venue before COVID hit. At the end of April, I emailed Hannah checking in, as Oregon was closing down, and gatherings of large groups were prohibited. I got no response. I then emailed her again to check in. She informed me that they were being flexible and understanding of everyone facing the hard decision to postpone their wedding day. Our original date was August 29th, 2020. In our email responses, she asked me to move my date to next summer, and I told her that we were not comfortable doing that at this time and asked for a refund of our deposit due to the circumstances of a global pandemic. She wrote to me via email, "unfortunately the only deposits that I am contractually allowed to return are those directly being affected by the state regulations. If this should continue through your wedding date, I am more than happy to refund your deposit." Go ahead, read that again - she told me in writing that they would refund my deposit. I thanked her for their flexibility and told her that I would keep in touch, to which I did. I was communicative with her during this entire process and told her that I would reach out after our wedding date then to request our deposit back, as she stated the date needed to pass with COVID restrictions still in place for them to refund our deposit. When the date passed and we were still under lockdown, I emailed her asking for our deposit refund. We needed that money, my fiancé had been out of a job 9 months at that point, it was a rough year, as it has been for many of us. Hannah flat out ignored my emails. I emailed multiple times, and she ignored me. This was a regular behavior of hers since we paid our deposit, please note. I called her and left a voicemail, to which she responded with an email. She then told me that "... we were able and willing to host your wedding in August. I was happy to work with clients to create custom layouts to satisfy the covid regulations. If I were returning all deposits for August because we were not able to host weddings, I would have returned your deposit. The fact is that we equipped our facilities to enable us to host events throughout the pandemic. You were more than welcome to utilize those services! Which is what I offered you and all other clients, either keep their date or transfer deposit to a new date. " The reality is that it's now the end of January 2021, COVID is still here, and Oregon cannot legally have gatherings of over 25 people. My original wedding was scheduled for 125+ people in August. I am here to tell you that she did not offer me any of that information at the time of our email exchanges prior to my wedding date- absolutely none of that was shared with me. Hannah is the most unprofessional, uncommunicative, and ill-equipped venue manager I have ever had the experience of working with, and I've worked with hundreds. Do not consider this place for your wedding, they do not care about anything but taking your money and will just add to the stress of your wedding planning. Please note their sister venue is Rossi Farms, don't go there either. read more

I got a tour of this venue by the event coordinator Maria Duong and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions I had. The venue itself was gorgeous and there is a ton of available space for any kind of event you could think of. It definitely gives off rustic vibes which would be perfect for a wedding or a company event. I will definitely be recommending this venue and Maria as an event planner/coordinator to my friends and family! read more

Went to a great event last Saturday/ It was their "Spring Dance" along with their charity partner, "My Father's House". Spaghetti & Meatball dinner and live music from the "Hit Machine". Doesn't get any better! read more

I'm unsure why people were so negative about this place. I'd say what you see is what you get. Great outdoor space. The only thing I'd say is a downfall is the parking but they share parking with the Walmart parking lot. I didn't experience much with any of the service there, we were there for DFO family reunion and it's great for events such as that. I'm unsure I'd have my wedding there personally but it is a good spot for a smaller wedding or outdoor reception. I quite loved this venue out of a few outdoor venues I've been to recently. read more

Summary: very poor customer service, lack of accountability, subpar follow through, difficult communication, lack of preparedness, untrained staff, unreliable, untrustworthy It was an unfortunate event of poor customer service that truly deterred us from referring other couples to this venue. The communication with the event coordinator was haphazard and difficult, to say the least; she would take weeks to get back to us, despite that we paid extra for her specific services. We also found her to be very argumentative, which is incredibly unnecessary from the vendors stand point. There were also a few things that were "must haves" for the venue, which two months or less prior to the wedding we were told were not possible (we hired photographers based on these must haves), but were discussed and agreed on prior to signing the contract. The day of rehearsal, we were given 2 hours to decorate with the agreement that all the furniture would already be placed, it was just being pulled onto the floor when we arrived, and then our party was asked to help move other furniture when they were only there to do light lifting or stand in attendance. The coordinator was also leading tours through the space as we were attempting to set it up for the wedding reception, they were all in the way! This same thing occurred the day of the wedding. Again, the agreement was that all furniture for the ceremony would be placed, and nothing was out; the maintenance guy finally pulled out chairs and then just tossed them around- the wedding party had to go back in dress attire and actually set things up. After the event, we did pay another company to pack things up while the venue assistant event coordinator watched. A week later when we asked about the refundable deposit, we received a message that we took the venue's stage lights??? When following up that we did not take the lights, the company who cleaned didn't take the lights, & that the assistant coordinator watched from the stage as things were cleaned, we received a response that they would check with her - odd this wasn't done prior to accusing us. We were told they still couldn't find it so we said we would come down to the venue to discuss this, at which time they miraculously found them. The only person whom ever provided great customer service was their accountant, whom I reached out to when our refundable deposit hadn't arrived after 60 days. She was so apologetic, but it wasn't her fault the event coordinator never updated our address with her after we updated it with the coordinator. read more

Cedarville Lodge has done so many upgrades since the last time we had our last major venue. Upgraded Kitchen, Bathrooms and Bridal Area to mention a few. The outside of the lodge gives you that rustic feeling and the grounds are spectacular. Well maintained. Club Paesano holds all our events there and will continue to do so. Worst wedding venue ever! I had my first choice wedding venue fall through, this place was my second choice. It's a very beautiful location, the inside is beautiful too. It has a great outdoors/lodge type feel to it. But, the guy who runs everything is horrible. I mean really, really horrible. He has no idea what he is doing. He kept trying to raise the price on me. He never knew the answers to my questions and instead of telling me he would find out and call me back he wanted me to call him back so that he could not answer and still not have answers to my questions when I finally got a hold of him again. He would tell me dates to have decisions made by, I would call a week before the date to tell him my decision and he would say oh the deadline for that was last week so it's going to be more expensive now but let me see what i can do. He tells me to call him by 10:30 the day of the wedding to confirm that everything is on schedule and things are being setup where I want them. Instead he calls me at 8am while I'm still sleeping and demands that I confirm everything right that minute. I finally had to turn the phone over to my maid of honor because my emotions were running so high. The good news is I didn't have to deal with him the rest of the wedding because he was no where to be found. He made a brief appearance to yell at my caterer and then was gone again til the end of the wedding. I suggest finding a better venue. Also took months of phone calls, etc to get deposit back. read more

If this review was solely for the lodge and grounds themselves I would give it 5 stars hands down! Great central location, beautiful outdoor setting and a rustic magical lodge with a stage for our band and a fireplace to keep everyone cozy. You even get to bring in your own caterers and bar staff and have full use of the industrial kitchen! Our wedding was pure bliss at Cedarville lodge... except for the event coordinator Hanna. She was very untimely at responding to our emails both before and after the wedding took place. We were wrongly accused of smoking inside and causing excess damage that we did not do, and she never even apologized after I explained the situation! The ceremony was setup in the wrong location and the CO2 taps were not working the day of the wedding and we were unable to get a hold of her when things were chaotic. It was unfortunate that she took a month to respond to our emails and left us hanging after a not so good set up experience. I hope Cedarville can hire a different event planner that puts the needs of its paying customers first. read more
