The food is prepared outside on the parking lot in front of the store. I love their green sauce and they're very generous with their cilantro and onions. Super great spot to get Mexican food, I go weekly at this point. Usually halal spots, lose some sort of quality or consistency, but Cedar's does not. My wife is a halali and I told her this place is high on the totem pole for the quality of the meat. Big plus is that they do have birria meat, so please try it. Get the tacos and mulitas if you're wanting to try the different meats, get a quesadilla if you have a bigger appetite. This place does not disappoint and super friendly staff. Simple and very unassuming spot since we went on a late Friday that was pretty dead and quiet. Nothing much was going on in the area there was no tent set up or a whole bunch of people outside but there were a pretty good amount of cars parked. its next to a car wash spot and another restaurant so we actually assumed it was from there. we honestly thought we went to the wrong place but still decided to go in and check it out since there were a few people inside after all. The guy making the food and taking orders was such a champ he was alone and working like pro... we didnt get his name but kudos to you dude!! As a one man show ofcourse the food took a little longer but we still found the wait time to be fair given he is doing everything by himself. He was also super nice and friendly, gave us a free drink and our beautiful food. We decided to eat inside the car to try the food fresh. Thats when we realized all the cars parked next to us are also people eating their food in the car! We took our first bite and oh mah gawd... we were so dang surprised by how good the food is!!! first thing husband said was this place is such a gem! I was craving nachos and this by far was the best one ive had. Even their nacho cheese was amazing. The food was not oily like other places. it tasted so clean yet very flavorful, So fresh and well prepared. All their sauces were bomb especially the cedar red sauce. While eating in the car and reading their signs wondering why it tastes different, we realized they actually serve halal meat and its actually a Lebanese-Mexican food fusion. My family and I visited Cedars late at night on the way back from LA. We were starving and Cedars exceeded our expectations. Cedars has a small tent in front of a meat market that was surrounded by about 15 people excitedly waiting for food to be prepared. We ordered a variety of tacos, birria, asada, mulitas and nachos. All were amazing but the birria and queso tacos were the big winners that night. Finding Mexican food in So cal is easy, but finding really great Mexican food which is halal is finding gold.
