Dr. Kantara has been the most compassionate doctor have I found. When I first came to see him in July, I was in horrible pain from pinched nerves and muscles spasms in my neck and lower back. I could not stand up straight. I hobbled and walked around in pain for two days after a participating in a physical challenge at work. As a member of the Coast Guard and a mother of a two year old, I had to get better quickly. When two urgent care centers told me to come back later, Dr. Kantara took me in. I am grateful that he took me in that day. On the first visit, he realigned my back and relieved my pinched nerves. He recommended herbal muscles relaxers which helped me immensely. He reviewed my MRI reports and explained what was happening in my neck and lower back. Even though I had bulging discs, he assured me that it can get better with care. I was so impressed with his knowledge that I now go see him on a regular basis as needed. I suffer from neuropathy and plantar fascitis in my right foot. In the last year I have seen 8 Dr.'s, my primary care, a neurologist, orthopedicsurgeon, rheumatologist, a pain specialists, a neuro. surgeon and an endocrinologist. They have all tried to help me with my foot pain: Cymbalta, Neurotin, Lyrica and Hydrocodone. All of these medications help with the pain but none of these medications help fix the problem. Then I was told by a friend to go see Dr. Kantara! I said, "yeah, right, Dr. # 9. At this point I had nothing to loose...all the pain medications were giving me terrible side effects.Dr. K. has been working on my foot using ultrasound, massage therapy, stretching exercises and muscle therapy. I've had 7 appointments to date with Dr. K. and I am absolutely amazed, his therapies have helped my foot and state of mind by about 75%. You have no idea how pleased I am with Dr. K.'s work. I initially came for acupuncture with another provider., after looking at my back she suggested consulting with Dr. Kantara to assess the cause of my chronic back pain. I have never been to a chiropractor so this was a new experience for me. What I liked is though both providers could have independently treated my issue they looked at what was in my best interest. I had been suffering with back pain since my son was born for over three years. In one week my back issues were manageable, and we had a plan to control the pain. He gave us financial options that were better than even what my insurance could provide with regular co-pays. I had been seeing a different chiropractor with little to no progress for about 7 months. I seen Dr.Kantaras website and decided to make an appointment and see how it went. I was impressed from the beginning. Dr. Kantara explained everything he did and educated me on what was going on and his treatment plan for me. Dr. Kantara uses different techniques and spends a lot of time with me, never making me feel like he is rushing to see another patient. He and his office staff make me feel like I'm the most important patient in the clinic, it's a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Dr. K stays late and even sees patients on the weekends and holidays. If he is there with a patient on his off day, he will call to see if I need treatment. Dr. Kantara was very professional, patient, and kind as he listened to me explain the problems I was experiencing when I first got there, and then he carefully went over a plan of action to provide solutions. He is very gentle with adjustments and knows what is needed every time I've been there. I appreciate that he listens so well and makes me feel like I have his full attention. It is not difficult to get your questions answered (he responds to email quickly, too). I also appreciate the fact that they don't over-schedule patients and I rarely have to wait any length of time in the lobby- that is a big deal when you go on a lunch break! He has seen my two sons, one of them several times for various injuries. He does an amazing job. I went to Dr. Kantara with some concerns I had with my health. He is so knowledgeable that from my symptoms he had a feeling I had leaky gut. We did the testing and sure enough, I was. (I suggest everyone doing this test because so much of our health is determined by our gut health). I have seen Dr. Kantara a few times over a period of several years and I have to say that he is BY FAR the most outstanding Chiropractor I have ever been to. A bad car accident really hurt me. I had stiffness up and down my spine, headaches, and couldn't turn my head very well. Dr. Kantara is changing all that. In a week the headaches are gone, the spine is loosening up, and I can turn my head more easily. I feel bouncy, springy, and twisty again. I sleep better.
